If you were like me, when you read that Rihanna story about how she is hooking up with another abusive guy, then you were concerned for her. I like her and I love her music and thus, I don’t want to see another incident like the one she suffered at the hands of Chris Brown. (Yes, I’m going to continue to write about it, it happened, regardless. Suck it haters.)

Now that she’s dating Matt Kemp, we’ve had to check on him. Of course we all want to see her happy, that’s not even of question. After finding out about his past, we weren’t very pleased at her pattern of choices. His ex-girlfriend’s rep has come forth to defend Kemp, letting us know that he’s not a bad guy after all.

E! News has more:

A rep for Terrell, who once lived with Kemp, tells us: “During the course of the relationship there was a restraining order filed by Felisha but it had nothing to do with domestic violence and to be clear Matt was NEVER physically abusive to Felisha, nor did she fear for her life. The restraining order was subsequently vacated. They both have moved on separately but remain amicable.”

Apparently Rihanna is making a pattern out of picking out her boyfriends. After getting violently attacked by Chris Brown last year, the singer laid low on the relationship front while the court battle was waged.

Now that she’s dating someone new, Matt Kemp, his ex-girlfriend has come out of the woodwork to say that he’s also a violent man.

Ex-girlfriend, Felisha Terrell, said, “He is violent and I am afraid. He repeatedly made me scared and gets in my face. He is threatening to take all the items I purchased and try to destroy my property. He brings his friends driving up and down the street to try and intimidate me. I am very fearful. He has other people calling me and stalking me.”

Terrell was compelled to secure a restraining order against Kemp in June 2008.
