Left in the competition are Fifth Harmony, Tate Stevens and Carly Rose Sonenclar. Who have you been rooting for this season?

Our commentary:
They are basically giving us the same performance of the song that they did before, theatrically. They are all at the table again. Ugh. Not sure if we like this again. We figured they could’ve tried to do something different performance-wise. It’s a good song by them, but we wanted to see something a little different with the performance.
Judges’ commentary:
L.A. Reid said the first time he saw them as a group, he said this could never work, but now he thinks they are magical. They were the underdogs and now they are the ones to beat. Britney Spears said that was the best song choice, it was magical, girly and fun. Demi Lovato said she hopes America pulls through and votes for them because she was so impressed. L.A. said he believes they are a group and not having met on the show. Simon Cowell said he likes sometimes being the underdog and something special would happen if they won the competition.

Fifth Harmony Performs ‘Impossible’ On The X Factor (Video)
by Jessica LeFevre on Dec.12, 2012, under articles

Taking the stage for their second performance on tonight’s semi-finals episode of “The X Factor” is Simon Cowell’s girl group Fifth Harmony. Their second performance is a rendition of “Impossible” by Shontelle. In case you’re missing all of the happenings on the show, we are providing our fully detailed live recap here.
Left in the competition are Fifth Harmony, Tate Stevens, Emblem3 and Carly Rose Sonenclar. So far, who are you rooting for to win the second season of the show?
Our commentary:
They really should’ve chosen a song to perform this far in the competition that we haven’t heard yet. They performed this song during the judges’ houses portion of the show. They sang part of the song in Spanish, which is no easy feat. All in all, we liked the song and the performance, but it was a bit mild.
Judges’ commentary:
L.A. Reid said the song choice was a bit lazy, because they’ve done it before. They’re at that place when the competition is stiff and he’s not so sure about that. Britney Spears called the performance stiff and said that she would be surprised if they were there next week. Demi Lovato said it comes down to their fan base and how much they vote for them, but she’s a bit worried for them. Simon Cowell said the song was the right thing to do. He loved the Spanish parts and he said they’ve been one of the strongest acts tonight. He really hopes and prays that America gets behind them because they deserve a place there and they’ve come a long way.

Fifth Harmony Performs ‘Anything Could Happen’ On The X Factor (Video)
by Megan Lindsey on Dec.12, 2012, under articles

On tonight’s performance episode of the semi-finals of “The X Factor”, girl group Fifth Harmony is taking on their first song of the evening. Mentored by Simon Cowell, the group is taking on a performance of “Anything Could Happen” by Ellie Goulding. In case you’re missing all of the happenings on the show, we are providing our fully detailed live recap here.
Left in the competition in addition to Fifth Harmony are Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens and Emblem3. Who are you rooting for to win the show?
Our commentary:
This is a really good performance, vocally, but so far they haven’t taken command of the stage. It may start getting lively, but right now they are sitting at a table. In the middle of the song, the vocals were a bit off and each of the singers are standing up from the table and singing their parts. It is kind of boring, in our humble opinions. We kind of expected more from this performance, but thankfully for them, they have another performance later on.
Judges’ commentary:
L.A. Reid said that it was the very best performance they’ve done, vocally. It was a very inventive vocal and he was proud. Britney Spears said she loved everything about it, it was magic and they are inspiring girl power. Demi Lovato said it was so cute and they worked the stage and it felt really great. Simon Cowell said they come into the competition as underdogs so to get into the finals it’s going to take a miracle. After that performance, just like the lyrics, anything could happen.

Judges’ commentary:
L.A. Reid said he still didn’t hear any harmony. He thinks they have the wrong name and they should’ve called them Fifth Unison. Britney Spears said that she is trying to figure out what separates them from the other girl groups. Demi Lovato said she heard harmonies, but there’s a couple of them that should just be solo artists. Simon Cowell said it’s “pick on Fifth Harmony” week. There is a gap in the market for girl groups and they are the nicest girls and they deserve a shot in the semi-finals next week.

For the Pepsi Challenge, they are performing “Give Your Heart A Break” by Demi Lovato. It’s pretty good, but is it enough to save them from being eliminated tomorrow night?
Judges’ commentary:
L.A. said it was their best performance and he heard harmonies. Britney said they did the song very good. Demi said it should’ve been their song and they sang it better than the original. She felt like they were a girl group and Simon did a good job this week. Simon said with them, it’s all about girl power and the show wouldn’t be the same without them.
