At last night’s Grammy Awards, while in the press room, Taylor Swift proved that she didn’t deserve that last Grammy that she racked up for the night.
She dropped it! One of the Grammy people said for her not to worry because they have more of them.

Auto Tune the News #5
by Stephen VanDyke on Jun.20, 2009, under articles
I’m not sure what it is about the idea of autotune that makes me grin every time I hear it’s infernal warbling attempt to make some lousy singer sound half-way decent, when the world has more than enough talented singers to lead any song (I’m looking at you Kanye… stick to song-writing). But what I do know is that when you apply it to mainstream news, C-SPAN, and political debate shows… the thing that was on the hook, is suddenly OFF THE HOOK! (continue reading…)

Ashley Tisdale Caught Kissing Scott Speer? – Video
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.21, 2009, under articles

Ashley Tisdale was out late last night. She was caught on camera giving a big ol’ smooch to boyfriend, Scott Speer.
When the photographers caught her, she was so embarrassed, while her boyfriend was cheesing it up. The photographers had a good laugh, too.
How cute.

Billy Bob Thornton Sucks At Promoting His Band, The Boxmasters
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.09, 2009, under articles

Where can I send Billy Bob Thornton letters explaining my love for his music is also thanks to my influence from monster magazines that I read as a kid?
I also entered contests to become a Cosmic Cowboy kid and built model sets with bits of felt and little model railroad tracks and… holy crap I am just as insane as you!
The only way this could be any more awesome of an interview is if he had just looked at the host and said: “I want some nachos.”
Check out the video of him creepily staring into the camera, while singing “Angelina”.

New Music: The Lonely Island – ‘Like A Boss’
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.05, 2009, under articles

Off of their debut album, “Incredibad“, The Lonely Island have released their second video this year. This song is called “Like A Boss” and features Seth Rogen.
Considering the source, I shouldn’t have to tell you that this video (like all of their others) is NSFW (due mostly to language).
For more information on The Lonely Island, check out their MySpace page or their official website. You can buy their album on iTunes here.

Stewie’s Banned Song ‘The List’ From ‘Family Guy’ & Lyrics
by Roberta Ferguson on Mar.23, 2009, under articles
Genius. Just genius. Apparently, this was whacked from an episode of “Family Guy“. It’s a shame that the censors are deciding for us what we’re allowed to hear.

Joaquin Phoenix Raps, Starts Fight
by Roberta Ferguson on Mar.13, 2009, under articles
Joaquin Phoenix is nuts. There, I’ve said it. He had said goodbye or “Bye! Good” to Hollywood in favor of a career as the Mountain Man Rapper who lost his razor.

Check out the video below:
Is it all staged? From what I understand, his craziness is all being documented by his brother-in-law, Casey Affleck.
Here’s Casey with the camera equipment, in case you were curious:

He’s still a crazy guy, though. Keep rapping, Joaquin!

Jason Segel is beginning to become one of my favorite actors. In “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”, he did the score to “Dracula’s Lament” and it was just so cute.
While Jason was out with Paul Rudd, promoting their new flick, “I Love You, Man”, Jason performed the song for the crowd.

Joaquin Phoenix Talks About His Hip Hop Career On ‘David Letterman’
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.12, 2009, under articles

In case you’ve been in a hole the past few months, Joaquin Phoenix said “Bye! Good” to Hollywood and acting in favor of a career in hip hop music. It was rumored that the music thing was just a joke, but it’s painfully obvious that it really isn’t.
He was on David Letterman last night where he talked a little about his upcoming career as a hip hop artist:
I guess we could hope that this is a joke, but it doesn’t look like it. My guess is that he won’t be appearing on the show to “perform” anytime soon, either.
Bummer, too, because I sure could use a laugh from that one.

by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.28, 2009, under articles
This video is too funny. And the hat!! It’s hilarious. This guy’s definitely got some pipes. He sure does sound a lot like Aretha Franklin.
Think he was in the shadows on the big day, helpin’ out? I was digging Aretha’s $500 bedazzled hat, it was cute.
Axis Of Awesome’s Four Chords To Be A Rock Star
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.27, 2009, under articles
This video that the Axis Of Awesome has put together is just plain funny and awesome. You have to check this out. It just goes to show you that all you need to be a rock star are these four wonderful chords.
They are so right, too. There are so many bands out there that are making use of the same sounds and we just don’t realize it. A lot of these are from the 80′s, but it’s enough for me to start paying attention now.
Stephen Colbert’s Remix Challenge
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.22, 2009, under articles

Two weeks ago, Stephen Colbert interviewed Lawrence Lessig about copyright laws. He joked that when he wants to listen to a song again, he buys the entire CD again. People were already starting to remix the interview, and, thus the Remix Challenge was born.
Stephen Colbert announced on The Colbert Report last night that he does NOT want you to remix his interview with Lawrence Lessig. Check out the video above, he’s just too funny for words.
Can you put Stephen’s words to a bumping dance beat?
A commenter at Colbert Nation said that we should NOT upload our remixes here.
You can listen to and view the other remixes here.
