Gene Simmons and his long-time girlfriend, Shannon Tweed, have officially tied the knot! Congratulations!

A WEDDING TO REMEMBER!

Last night Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed married in a beautiful and touching ceremony in a garden outside the Beverly Hills Hotel. Over 400 family and friends witnessed the couple exchange vows and say their “I do’s.” Nick Simmons was the best man, and Sophie Simmons was the maid of honor. Paul Stanley and Doc McGhee were also in the wedding party.

At the reception Sophie and Nick both toasted their parents, and Paul told a few humorous Gene stories before wishing Gene and Shannon the happiness that he has found in his own marriage.

Sophie, Nick, Shannon and Gene all sang during the evening. At one point Paul’s son, Evan, played lead guitar as Nick sang the Doors “Roadhouse Blues.” Then KISS, in wedding attire, took the stage and performed “Lick It Up”, “Shout It Out Loud,” and “Rock and Roll All Nite.”

The wedding was truly one to remember!

Congratulations to the happy couple! It’s about time!

As we’ve learned on July 25th, Gene Simmons and his girlfriend of 28 years, Shannon Tweed, are engaged to be married. Well, they’ve dispelled any disbelief that their engagement was real, by releasing their official wedding invitations.

It will be the wedding of rock royalty as Shannon says “I do” to Gene. FINALLY!

The KISS bassist is 61-years-old, while Shannon is 54, but they have finally overcome their differences to take the plunge. The event will go down in Beverly Hills on October 1, 2011. (continue reading…)

For the longest time, Gene Simmons has said that he would never get married, but now, we’ve learned that he has proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Shannon Tweed. Congratulations are in order!

The rocker got down on one knee in Belize recently and popped the question. Of course, she said yes.

The proposal was taped for their reality show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, which airs tomorrow night at 10pm on A&E. The happy couple live in Beverly Hills together and share two children, Nick and Sophie. They met 28 years ago.

It’s about time! Is it a real proposal or is he just doing it for the cameras? I guess that remains to be seen!

Gene Simmons is enthralled with Lady Gaga! So much, in fact, that he wants to make the pop singer a fifth member of their legendary band, Kiss.

He said, “I love the vibe, the big mouth and the big visuals. She’s the most exciting thing to happen since us. She’s a female version of us. One of the first things we learned was to treat the audience as the guv’nor. When they buy a ticket they become your boss. We just work here. She realizes that her fans deserve the best you got because they pay your wages.”

Well said, Gene! That statement gives me a new respect for you. Now I’m wondering what a Gaga/Kiss collaboration would sound like. Could you imagine if Gaga went hard rock? That would be incredible.

Wow. I can’t believe Gene Simmons would say that Adam Lambert has ruined his career by coming out of the closet.

Simmons said, “He killed his career because now the conversation is not about his talent but about his sexual preference. He’s done. I hope I’m completely wrong. I hope he becomes the next Beatles and proves me wrong.” (continue reading…)

Gene Simmons went on Fox Philadelphia in promotion of the new season of his show, “Family Jewels”. He talked about the show, but he also had a few words for Adam Lambert.

He said that Adam is “great and has a lot of talent” and added that he would have a bright future as the frontman of Queen, but not the Stones.

He also offered up this advice for the budding singer: “Mostly he should shut up about his sexual preferences. We, America, the rest of the world, really don’t care. I mean, if the story becomes ‘I prefer farm animals to…’, you know, who cares?”

When asked, “How was it to perform with him [Lambert] on “American Idol”? Gene answered, “How was it for him to perform with us, you mean? That’s right, I see. Well, you just have to realize who the governor is and who the little puppy is.” (continue reading…)

A former associate, Allan Brown, is suing Gene Simmons. He’s accusing the KISS rocker of cutting him out of a marketing deal that he signed with the Indy Racing League. Apparently, Brown says that he played a key role in negotiating the agreement, but went away on vacation and they cut him out of the deal. They also called him “lazy” and “rich”, thus harming his good name.

Brown is seeking unspecified damages.

Gene Simmons says that all band should put on spectacular shows for their fans. I’m totally down with that. He’s even hit out at bands like Radiohead for putting on boring concerts.

He’s on the concert-goers side here. He says that fans pay a lot of their hard earned cash for concert tickets and bands should go that extra mile to give people their money’s worth.

So, if you’re not blowing stuff up, then you suck.
