Chris Brown Responds To Grammys Haters – Photo
by Jed Eckert on Feb.15, 2012, under articles

On Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, Chris Brown performed twice and won an award for Best R&B album. Those of us who do not like Chris because of what he did to Rihanna voiced our opinions or just plainly changed the channel during his sets.
We know, it was three years ago and people need to look to the future. In reality, he’s made a mistake and is paying for it. He should have paid for it with a jail sentence, instead of just getting off with probation and community service.
Rihanna has forgiven him, so does that mean we have to as well? Not necessarily. If we forget what he did to her, isn’t that the same thing as enabling his negative behavior?
The Grammy Awards defended allowing him to perform and win an award in a recent statement. Are you forgiving yet? Us neither. Apparently Chris had a little message for those who chastised his performance and win last Sunday.
Chris took to his official Twitter page and said, “Strange how we pick and choose who to hate! Let me ask u this. Our society is full of rappers (which I listen to) who have sold drugs (poisoning). But yet we glorify them and imitate everything they do. Then right before the worlds eyes a man shows how he can make a big mistake and learn from it, but still has to deal with day to day hatred! You guys love to hate!!! But guess what??? HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That’s the ultimate F**K OFF!”
Ugh.
Jennifer Hudson To Pay Tribute To Whitney Houston At The 2012 Grammys (Video)
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.12, 2012, under articles

Jennifer Hudson tried to pull it together and stay strong for her tribute to legendary singer Whitney Houston earlier today during rehearsals, but some things are easier said than done.
At the last minute, Jennifer was called upon to pay a “respectful musical tribute” to the singer, who passed away just yesterday.
She showed up for the rehearsals in Los Angeles today to sing Whitney’s trademark song, I Will Always Love You. A source said that she “began sobbing hysterically”, adding, “She had to restart several times before making it through.”
Reportedly, Chaka Khan will also take the stage with Jennifer for her tribute to the iconic singer. The source revealed, “All stars have been accommodating. No one has batted an eye or been a diva. People are trying to be upbeat.”
Grammys Executive Producer, Ken Erhlich, siad, “It’s too fresh in everyone’s memory to do more at this time, but we would be remiss if we didn’t recognize Whitney’s remarkable contribution to music fans in general, and, in particular, her close ties with the Grammy telecast and her Grammy wins and nominations over the years.”
Stay tuned for the video when it’s uploaded.
Update: Chaka Khan just tweeted that she is not performing tonight. She said, “As I grieve the loss of my friend and “little sister,” I don’t feel it appropriate to perform at this time. Continue to pray for the family.”

Miley Cyrus & John Mayer not hooking up
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.18, 2011, under articles

Reports recently hit the internet that Miley Cyrus was flirting with John Mayer backstage at the Grammy Awards. The rumors that circulated suggested that the Disney starlet grabbed his butt and he gave her a kiss when no one was looking. Sounds scandalous, doesn’t it?
Only if it were true!
The reports stated that, “She followed John around all night like a puppy dog”, adding that she “put her arm around his waist an even grabbed his behind.” Miley can do better than that, right???
A source close to Miley said that the reports of any hook up or otherwise between she and John are “not true” and also revealed that the two of them “only said ‘hello’ in passing.”
Selena Gomez wasn’t mad at Donnie Wahlberg over Justin Bieber ‘look’
by Lydia Harris on Feb.17, 2011, under articles

On Sunday during their presenting duties at the Grammy Awards, it was said that Selena Gomez got angry at Donnie Walhberg for giving her a “look” while saying Justin Bieber’s name. The rumor surfaced, saying that she was cursing backstage and was really mad.
Gomez merely rolled her eyes for the audience, but we hear she stormed off backstage and “cursed up a storm” about Wahlberg’s unscripted gesture. “He went one way and she went the other,” a witness said. “She whined to her makeup artist and assistant, ‘How could he do that to me on camera?’ ”
Her rep is now addressing the reports, saying that they’re nothing but BS. The rep said, “Absolutely not true. Selena didn’t even give it a second thought. The story is inaccurate on every level, as her makeup artist and assistant weren’t even at the Grammys.”
I wasn’t buying it anyways! Selena seems like such a sweet kid. What do you think?
Chris Brown removes nasty Grammys comment on Twitter
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.16, 2011, under articles

Chris Brown was up for three Grammy Awards on Sunday, but lost out on all of the possible gold statues. Later on, he took to his Twitter page to gripe about the music industry politics!
He tweeted, “To the fans!! I love y’all. Don’t be upset!! This industry is based on politics and a**kissing! My only concern is Team Breezy! F**k everybody else!”
After possibly giving any thought to performing for the Grammys in the future, Chris deleted that message and replaced it with something more positive. He said, “I’m just happy to be able to make music!! Team Breezy rocks.”
Somebody’s mad!!
Selena Gomez’s epic hissy fit over Justin Bieber at the Grammys?!?
by Lydia Harris on Feb.16, 2011, under articles

When Selena Gomez took to the podium with Donnie Wahlberg to present the award for Best Pop Vocal, he made it a point to look in her direction when rumored boyfriend Justin Bieber was mentioned! Now, we’re hearing that she went off about it!
Justin Bieber’s gal pal, Selena Gomez, had choice words for Donnie Wahlberg backstage at the Grammy Awards, for pointedly looking at her when he mentioned Bieber’s name as they presented an award on Sunday. Gomez merely rolled her eyes for the audience, but we hear she stormed off backstage and “cursed up a storm” about Wahlberg’s unscripted gesture. “He went one way and she went the other,” a witness said. “She whined to her makeup artist and assistant, ‘How could he do that to me on camera?’ ” A rep for Gomez didn’t get back to us.
I find it hard to picture Selena Gomez cursing up a storm about anyone or anything. Don’t you? She just seems way too wholesome for that.
Eminem not angry over Grammy losses
by Jed Eckert on Feb.15, 2011, under articles

Reportedly, Eminem was upset that he walked into the Grammy Awards on Sunday with ten nominations and only left with two gold statues. He was said to have shunned future Grammy performances because of the lack of prizes.
A source said, “He got iced out. He did the Grammy people a solid favor by coming in from Detroit and performing. They egged him on and gave him the impression it would be a big night for him. Best Rap Album and Best Solo Rap Performance are nice awards, but not the big ones. It will take a lot of effort on their part to get him and Dr. Dre back to the Grammys to perform.”
His spokesperson is calling BS on the rumors, saying, “This is untrue. He was happy to be there and perform with Dre. Voting is voting, and there’s only so much you can do about that.”
Justin Bieber really wanted to win that Best New Artist Grammy!
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.15, 2011, under articles

When Justin Bieber was up for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, I’m pretty sure all of his fans and the rest of the planet thought he had that sewed up. When Esperanza Spalding won, the entire world was like, “Wait, what?”
Still, the Biebz is disappointed that he lost out!
In a recent interview, he said, “Yes, I wanted to win, but I had an amazing night and performed with Usher and Jaden. That’s so huge!”
When asked about who his Valentine was yesterday, he added, “I have the best fans in the world! They’re my Valentines this holiday. I want them to know they’re all loved. They make my career worth it.”
Kim Kardashian almost had a wardrobe malfunction at the Grammys
by Jed Eckert on Feb.14, 2011, under articles

Actually, Kim Kardashian’s almost wardrobe malfunction happened before the Grammys — but still!
In reality, the television “personality” almost couldn’t fit her ginormous booty into her dress! Ha!
She said, “I had the biggest fashion emergency. I took it to another tailor and they tailored it to where my whole butt wouldn’t fit in it. I was freaking out and said that if I didn’t have a dress, I wouldn’t go. The designers were amazing and they came in and met me and redid the whole thing.”
I’m surprised her statement isn’t littered with ad placements. Like, “I had the biggest SKECHERS fashion emergency. I took it to another QUICK TRIM tailor and they tailored it to where my whole CARL’S JR butt wouldn’t fit in it.”
Now that would be more like it!
Miley Cyrus jokes about Lady Gaga’s Grammys egg entrance
by Jed Eckert on Feb.14, 2011, under articles

In case you missed it, Lady Gaga made her grand entrance at the Grammy Awards last night, being carried in an egg on the red carpet. It was a spectacle, to say the least.
It was only a matter of time before someone decided to make fun of Gaga’s incubation and womb room, and Miley Cyrus was up to the task!
In a recent interview, Miley said, “I’m doing the egg next year, for sure. It’s going to be a pink one – an Easter one with all the fun colors.”
When asked if she was being serious, Miley replied, “Ummm, no. No.”
Then, the Disney starlet turned to her mother Tish Cyrus and said, “Maybe I’ll do it one day and my mom could carry me….Wait, she kind of did that already! I’ve already been there and done that, Gaga – 18 years ago.”
Justin Bieber fans attack Esperanza Spalding’s Wikipedia page
by Jed Eckert on Feb.14, 2011, under articles

If you were like me, then you thought teen singing sensation Justin Bieber was a shoe-in for the Best New Artist Grammy at tonight’s awards show. His fans were reportedly pretty upset about who actually did win.
Unknown 26-year-old singer Esperanza Spalding walked away from the awards show with the gold and now some internet attacks on her Wikipedia page.
In the photo above, you can see that someone edited her Wikipedia page to call her some pretty nasty names. You can check out other edits that have been made by clicking “Next Edit” on the site.
Wow. Haters are gonna hate, aren’t they? I’m really glad that Justin didn’t win. And his fans need to grow up already.

by Lydia Harris on Feb.13, 2011, under articles

Christina Aguilera was on stage at tonight’s Grammy Awards when she took a bit of a tumble!
At the tail end of her performance, she fell! Check out the video below:
She’s not starting the year off on the right foot, is she? Poor thing. First she messes up The Star Spangled Banner and now this. And there are still rumors floating around that she’s pregnant. She has previously denied the rumors, but they keep popping up! Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, right?
Stay tuned!
Thanks Misty!

Lady Gaga arrives at the Grammys in an egg – Photos
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.13, 2011, under articles

Born This Way singer Lady Gaga made her grand entrance at tonight’s Grammy Awards in an egg! Yes, she’s topping the weirdest thing that anyone has done to get attention on the red carpet!

Are you excited to see her actual costume for her appearance? I’m sure she’s going to change outfits each time the camera pans to her, just like last year.
What do you think? Weird? Or is Gaga just being Gaga?
Britney Spears is not performing at the Grammys
by Jessica LeFevre on Feb.01, 2011, under articles

Rumors were flying across the internet earlier yesterday suggesting that pop princess Britney Spears would be performing at the 2011 Grammy Awards — but, we’re sorry to report, she won’t be performing!
Reportedly, she was set to open the Grammys on February 13, 2011 with her new song, Hold It Against Me. But, her manager, Adam Leber has taken to his Twitter account to dispel the rumors. He tweeted, “Need to clear something up. This Grammy rumor is just that, a rumor. @BritneySpears was NEVER performing.”
Are you sad that Britney won’t be performing?
I’m the Mothman
by mothman on Feb.07, 2010, under articles
So I’m not exactly sure what it was about the comment I posted that made Stephen decide I had the right stuff to write for this site, but hey I’ll give it my best shot and we’ll see what happens. People will either read it or they won’t I guess.
Quickly let me tell you a little bit about me. My name is Justin Robert, and I’ve been a musician for the past 24 years of my life. I’m mostly a drummer, but also went to school back in the day of ADATs for music production, I’ve made a few VST synths, and play some other things like guitar, bass, keys, vocals and whatnot. I’ve recorded a plethora of albums on my own that date back to the mid 90s. My early days I was the drummer for the hardcore band Lincoln from West Virginia, which happens to be why I chose the name Mothman as my moniker, since this Winged folkloric menacing creature is from my home state. I currently reside in Saint Petersburg, FL which is a nice town with lots of sun and good people. (continue reading…)

by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.04, 2010, under articles
Lady Gaga tweeted this wonderful black and white photo of herself, right when it was announced that she won her Grammy Awards.
She tweeted, “beautiful photo taken of me the moment I found out i won my grammys. All the hundreds of songs I wrote, the thousands of shows, the fans, all the blood and tears flashing instantly. photo by haus member the famous “Dada” Williams.”
Well deserved! You go girl! There’s more to come in the future, just keep making awesome music.
And congrats!
Beyonce to record collaboration with Kings Of Leon?
by Lydia Harris on Feb.03, 2010, under articles
According to reports, Beyonce is gearing up to record a duet with Kings Of Leon. Talk about weird collaborations!
She was said to have approached Nathan, Caleb, Jared and Matthew Followill at a Grammy afterparty where she discussed the joint venture.
A source said, “Beyonce looked stunning and was chatting to virtually every major star on hand. She kissed Kings Of Leon on their cheeks and congratulated them on winning an award for ‘Use Somebody’. They were chatting for ages. She knows how huge they are in the UK and loves their album. She was scouting for people to collaborate with and has been talking about doing something different with a rock band. Kings Of Leon would be perfect.”
What do you think? I think she needs to collaborate with Lady Gaga more, but that’s my humble opinion.
Drake wants to collaborate with Taylor Swift
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.02, 2010, under articles
Drake told “Extra” in a recent interview that he would be down with a Taylor Swift collaboration. He also said that his favorite moment from the Grammy Awards on Sunday was seeing the country star.
He said, “Seeing Taylor Swift in person is always fun for me. I bought this Taylor Swift t-shirt the other day that I might wear tonight. I just have this small little thing with her, I just like her whole being. I’m excited about her career and I’m excited about wearing my t-shirt tonight.”
When asked if he would consider a duet with Taylor, he replied, “That would be nice, I’m down!”
Stranger things have happened.
Pink debunks lip-syncing reports on Twitter
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.02, 2010, under articles
Apparently there are some people saying that Pink lip-synced her song “Glitter In The Air” at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, but she’s debunking the rumors.
She tweeted, “I hear there’s a debate over whether or not I sang live on grammies. I have never lip synched in my entire life. I’m 100% against it.”
And there you have it! Not that we believed the rumors anyways.
Top ten non-Grammy winning musical phenomena
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.02, 2010, under articles
With the Grammys wrapping up Sunday night, we’ve had a moment or two to reflect on the talent that has received those awards.
Deserving or not, if they made a splash last year, then they probably were awarded a Grammy. Not to say that Taylor Swift didn’t deserve her Grammys, but it’s giving way to more popular folks getting the awards, rather than those who actually deserve to win, strictly based on talent.
I was given a link to this nifty website, which points out the top ten musical talents who never received recognition by the recording academy.
The top ten:
- 1. The Who
- 2. Bob Marley
- 3. Diana Ross
- 4. Led Zeppelin
- 5. Grateful Dead
- 6. Queen
- 7. Jimi Hendrix
- 8. Lynyrd Skynyrd
- 9. The Doors
- 10. Buddy Holly
Are you surprised at this list? Some of the most prominent names in Rock N Roll today are on this list. They built the foundation for which rock music was made and yet, were never recognized by the recording academy. Yet they grant four Grammys to Taylor Swift. It just doesn’t make sense to me.
Your thoughts?
Lady Gaga needed a ‘Go Girl’ for the Grammys
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.01, 2010, under articles
When Lady Gaga appeared on the red carpet at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards, it was obvious that she wouldn’t be trying to sit down in this number. Let alone use the bathroom.
Someone posed the question to E-Online’s Answer Bitch asking how celebrities use the ladies room when they wear contraptions like this. We’ve taken the liberty of answering the question ourselves. You’re welcome.
But we’ve got the perfect fix for those who want to wear outrageous clothes like this dress and still be able to pee. Gaga could have benefited greatly from the “Go Girl”, which allows ladies to pee standing up.
Now isn’t that easier?
Drake, Eminem and Lil Wayne’s uncensored Grammys video
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.01, 2010, under articles
If you were like us last night, you were complaining loud and clear over Drake, Eminem and Lil Wayne’s Grammy Awards performance last night.
The trio took to the stage last night, along with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and performed “Drop The World” and “Forever”, but CBS opted to blank out large chunks of the performance, due to swearing.
Now, you can listen to the song the way it was supposed to be aired. After the jump for the goodies! (continue reading…)
