Now here’s a chipmunk wanting to do some good for the people who were affected by the disaster in Haiti. Apparently, Miley Cyrus is selling off her Grammys dress for Haiti relief.
She said, “I’m going to auction it off on eBay for the Red Cross. It’s the little things you can do. I think it’s really important that everybody come together because disaster relief isn’t just now. It’s how we’re going to help years from now. We have to restore an entire place. It just can’t be one person, one foundation, one group of people. All people have to come together.”
Kudos to her. Good chipmunk!
According to sources, Paris and Prince Michael Jackson are set to be included in Monday’s re-recording of “We Are The World”. The proceeds from the newer version of the song will benefit those affected by the tragedy in Haiti.
A source said, “Prince Michael and Paris know that helping others was as important to their daddy as music. That is why they really want to be part of the re-recording of this extraordinary song.”
It was touching to see them take the stage at tonight’s Grammys and you could really tell how nervous they were.
As far as the new recording is concerned, we haven’t heard yet as to whether or not the kids will get their own solos or if they will be blended in with other singers.
Christina Aguilera is lending her voice and image to front a new PSA for Haiti relief. She is urging Americans to give until it hurts to aid victims of the disaster.
She said, “I’m devastated by the toll that the earthquake as taken, and, as a mom, I am especially heartbroken by the children and families affected. My goal for the PSA is to inspire as many people as possible to donate to the World Food Program, so they can continue to feed the survivors in Haiti and move them from hunger to hope.”
