Happy 51st birthday, Joe Elliott!

Happy birthday to Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott! The British singer turns 51 today!

While the band is on a bit of a break, Joe has been busy with his side project, the Down N Outz [listen to their music here]. The band consists of Joe from Def Leppard, Ronnie Garrity from Raw Glory, and Paul Guerin, Guy Griffin, and Keith Weir from The Quireboys.

On a personal note, Joe and his wife Kristine welcomed a son Finlay in December 2009.

Mariah Carey receives pink Porsche for 40th birthday

Mariah Carey just celebrated her 40th birthday with a super expensive gift from her husband Nick Cannon: a pink Porsche.

She turned 40 on Saturday and took to her official Twitter account to tell her fans how happy she was with her gifts.

She tweeted, “Thank u everyone for the anniversary wishes! Today is a ‘smash hit wonder’ I’m having SO much fun & you guys make everything even better…All the videos and messages I got for my anniversary were incredible. You never cease to amaze me and make me happy and grateful….Again, thank you so much to all who gave so much time & love…NC shocked me with a custom PINK porshe!!! And a huge trampoline! Yes, pink.”

It must be nice!

Iggy Pop turned 60 & celebrated with a stage dive

Punk rocker and proclaimed “Godfather of punk”, Iggy Pop, real name Jim Osterberg, celebrated his birthday by doing a stage dive into fans. While performing with The Stooges, he also invited them to get on the stage with him and sing.

According to the article:

He muttered a few thanks before resuming his usual routine: manic singing and dancing, scampering on to the speakers and throwing his microphone stand around.

During the Stooges classic No Fun, he invited fans in the mosh pit to jump on to the stage, and sing along with him.
