by Jessica LeFevre on Jul.09, 2011, under articles

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and 2011 Dancing With The Stars champ Hines Ward has been arrested for driving under the influence in Dekalb County, Georgia.
We haven’t heard any reports as to what he blew when he was pulled over or whether or not he failed any field sobriety test(s). He was taken into custody this morning and was released after paying his $1,000.00 bail.
Details surrounding his arrest are sparce and more information will be available right here at Earsucker. Stay tuned!
Are you surprised by his arrest? Shocked? I’m more shocked that he has enough money to hire a driver, yet doesn’t. It was a poor judgment call indeed. Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

by Roberta Ferguson on May.24, 2011, under articles

It’s been a long, hard season for this year’s contestants on Dancing With The Stars and it’s finally gotten down to the final three contenders. The final three contestants are Hines Ward and partner Kym Johnson, Kirstie Alley and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Chelsea Kane and partner Mark Ballas.
Chelsea has been the underdog throughout the season, after having entered the competition without a lot of people knowing her name. Last night, she thanked fans for getting her this far and said that she had a good time.
Hines has overcome almost breaking his partner’s neck with some risky moves, only to emerge with perfect scores. He has been the fun-loving guy on the show, always looking like he’s having a good time during his routines.
Kirstie has been the fan favorite, aside from the fact that she’s had a couple of blunders on the show. Still, she has risen above that to put on an awesome performance in last night’s freestyle.
After tonight’s final dance, we’ll find out who the winner of the show is. Until then, take our poll and let us know who your favorite of the season is! Who should win it all and walk away with the Mirrorball trophy????

Of Hines Ward, she said, he’s “infectious, he’s lovable, he’s emotionally connected, he’s got rhythm, he’s fun to watch.” In addition to that, he also has a huge fan base, so that should help.
When speaking of the youngest contender, Chelsea Kane, she said, she’s “just adorable” and “a phenomenal dancer, technically.”
On the topic of Kirstie Alley, she said, “What’s not to love?” She added, “She is brave and brutally honest. She surprised everybody. She’s got incredible rhythm. Nobody had any idea she’d be such a great dancer. She gets better every show.”

POLL: Was The Right Couple Eliminated On ‘Dancing With The Stars’?
by Roberta Ferguson on May.18, 2011, under articles

Last night’s Dancing With The Stars saw the elimination of professional dancer Karina Smirnoff and her partner Ralph Macchio. Upon our examination of the comments from our recap on the show, some thought it was unfair to oust the actor from the Semi-Finals show.
On Monday night’s show, Ralph and Karina performed the Argentine Tango first, scoring them a total of 25 points. For their second dance, they scored 23 points for their Salsa, which wasn’t as bad as the judges made it out to be. Bruno Tonioli even insulted Karina’s choice of attire, with a terrible comment. Afterward, they were pitted against Hines Ward and Kym Johnson for the first round of the newly implemented “Winner Takes All Cha Cha”.
Our friends at CelebDirtyLaundry made the suggestion that perhaps the judges were trying to rig the competition. We were thrown off by the addition of the “Winner Takes All Cha Cha”, considering that it put Chelsea over fan favorite Ralph with that extra fifteen points.
So, since the voting from the public didn’t come into play on Monday night’s show, do you think that the judges had their favorite to be in the finals? Do you think it was right of them to put Ralph up against Hines? Or would it have been more fair if Ralph went up against Kirstie? Let us know your thoughts!
Take our poll: Was the right couple eliminated on Tuesday night’s results show?

Overall, Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas had the best scores of the evening and Ralph and Karina were left at the bottom of the leaderboard. Who’s going to be eliminated in tonight’s show? Stay tuned as we cover the semi-finals LIVE! (continue reading…)
Hines Ward thought he was being Punk’d!
by Lydia Harris on May.08, 2011, under articles

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver and Dancing With The Stars favorite Hines Ward was a part of a bust that went wrong!
Hines was a passenger in a car Thursday morning that had been reported as stolen. As it turned out, it was all a big misunderstanding when the owner didn’t notify the police that her car had been located. During the time he was being placed in handcuffs, Hines says that he thought it was a joke!
He said, “I actually thought I was on ‘Punk’d’ … Something about guns pointed at me wasn’t very fun.”
I bet he’s glad that mess got cleared up!

Now, Len asked Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel to re-do their stripper happy Samba from last night. Oh God, someone please vote this broad off already. She’s seriously awful.
