Buckcherry Frontman Josh Todd to replace Steven Tyler in Aerosmith?
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.17, 2009, under articles
Even though it’s been said that the guys in Aerosmith are not breaking up, Steven Tyler might be on hiatus from the band for an entire two years.
Joe Perry has said that the band still wants to play, so they may be looking around for replacements. In a new poll, “Rolling Stone” asked its readers who should replace the aged rocker. The readers responded that Buckcherry’s frontman, Josh Todd, would be an adequate replacement.
Here are their top five replacement selections:
1. Josh Todd (Buckcherry)
2. David Johansen (New York Dolls)
3. David Lee Roth
4. Iggy Pop
5. Adam Lambert
I don’t think anyone would be able to replace Steven Tyler. He’s unique, old school, and classic. To replace that would take away from the band’s signature sound. What do you think?

by Roberta Ferguson on May.15, 2007, under articles
Via GuitarWorld:
When they self-destructed on a Michigan stage in 1973, The Stooges lived on in memory only. After recording their first album in 35 years, Iggy Pop recalls his wild years with The Stooges, stealing his style from the Egyptians and his regrets in the latest issue of Guitar World (on stands now).
On his wild years with The Stooges: “We were all pulling chicks every weekend. We had absolutely no respect whatsoever for the conventions of human life or civilization.â€
On The Stooges “lookâ€: “The Stooges were conceived in the University of Michigan undergraduate library. I got the idea to sing shirtless from a book that I read on Egyptology. I kept looking at the pharaohs and thought, these guys look bitchin’, they never wear shirts.â€
On regretting his past: “I don’t voice my regrets; I use them. If there’s something I’m disappointed in, I try to use it in the requisite improvement.â€
Iggy Pop turned 60 & celebrated with a stage dive
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.22, 2007, under articles
Punk rocker and proclaimed “Godfather of punk”, Iggy Pop, real name Jim Osterberg, celebrated his birthday by doing a stage dive into fans. While performing with The Stooges, he also invited them to get on the stage with him and sing.
According to the article:
He muttered a few thanks before resuming his usual routine: manic singing and dancing, scampering on to the speakers and throwing his microphone stand around.
During the Stooges classic No Fun, he invited fans in the mosh pit to jump on to the stage, and sing along with him.
