Jake Gyllenhaal is a good samaritan!

Recently, Jake committed some random acts of kindness by deciding to fill up several parking meters in Los Angeles after seeing a traffic cop making the rounds to issue tickets.

He was walking back to his car after spending some time shopping when he saw an officer lurking around some parked cars. So Jake did the nice guy thing and fed the meters up with change.

A witness said, “Jake was shopping in Beverly Hills and noticed a few parking meters were about to expire. And he saw that the parking enforcers were standing right there, waiting to issue tickets when they ran out.”

So, he fished out some spare change from his pocket and proceeded to feed the meters in order for the drivers of the cars to avoid getting ticketed. What a great guy!

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal only dated for roughly three months before calling it quits. But apparently, she is still haunted by their relationship. They were said to have broken up because of all of the publicity, because Jake isn’t seeking that type of relationship — but Taylor still thinks of her split with Jake!

They went to several dinners together and even went apple picking, but it wasn’t a forever type of relationship. Now, a source says that she is still smarting from their breakup.

In her interview with Vogue after their breakup, Taylor said, “It was earth-shattering.”

A source revealed, “She’s haunted by that relationship. He totally screwed with her mind. She doesn’t know how to meet anybody new.”

As we’ve predicted previously, Taylor wrote some songs about Jake for her upcoming album. The spy added, “The songs on her next album are intimate and revealing. Some are about Jake.”

He said that he enjoys working in the movie business, because he gets the chance to tell stories that he cares about. Since doing his first movie, Donnie Darko, Jake has starred in over fifteen movies. In a recent interview, he said that he likes to choose characters that are of interest to him and also tell stories that are relevant.

He said, “I’m in the business of playing characters. That’s what i’m in. That’s what I want to try and do. The ability to tell stories that you care about, it does give you a great opportunity to do that.”

He went on to reveal, “I didn’t grow up in a Hollywood way. I grew up in a family of people who made movies, and continue to do so to this day.”

Usually, under normal circumstances, we would have nothing but good things to say about Jake Gyllenhaal — especially in uniform. Here he is, on the set of his new movie, End Of Watch — WITH HIS HEAD SHAVED.

Anne Hathaway is lavishing nothing but praise on her former co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal! They should totally date, right?

She says that Jake is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. She starred with Jake in two movies already and said that it’s always a pleasure. She revealed that he hasn’t let his fame and status as a sex symbol make him arrogant…So that’s a bonus!

In a new interview, she said, “I know actors always say this about each other but he really is lovely. I worked with him on Brokeback Mountain and then five years later on Love And Other Drugs, he was a great guy then and still is. He’s a real person.”

She went on to say, “That’s a weird compliment, but someone’s as good looking as he is, with as much adoration from such a young age, they could easily be a nightmare, or stuck up jerk. But he’s a good guy.”

Just yesterday, a photo of Jake Gyllenhaal in his underwear circulated across the internet, as he was said to be paying homage to Grace Jones’ famous pose. Now, we’ve learned that the photo is a fake!

Some photo experts are weighing in on the controversial picture, saying that it’s not actually the actor!

His rep weighed in, saying, “It’s a fake.”

A photo expert said, “The skin tones are really good, but the shadows are completely off. Look how there aren’t any against the wall, or along the body anywhere. It’s a fake.”

Another said, “Also, the hand. It’s off, it shows the photo’s been doctored.”

Are you sad that you don’t get to see the real Jake in his undies? Jake hasn’t really been in the news that much lately, except for the promotion of his latest movie, Source Code. This would have been a nice treat, if it were real, don’t you think?

According to the rumor mill, country singer Taylor Swift has upgraded to Tron actor Garrett Hedlund! Nice, he’s definitely got Jake Gyllenhaal beat — plus, he’s hot without the gay rumors floating around.

She was spotted having a nice dinner with Garrett, sparking reports that they are dating. The twosome met up for a quiet dinner in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday.

A source said, “It was their first time going out. They’ve been emailing for a while, and she hinted they should get together. She has actually spent time getting to know Garrett. He’s cute — and he’s into country music! She likes that he’s a normal guy.”

Jake Gyllenhaal is glad that his parents stopped him from becoming a child actor because he was able to realize the importance of family and cherish his childhood.

He appeared in three movies by the time he was a teenager, but his parents refused to allow him time off from school to do The Mighty Ducks.

In a new interview, he said, “That did happen a lot. Or rather, it happened a few times that I remember very clearly. Which felt like a lot when I was a little kid. But I think they knew it can be a dangerous business, particularly for a child.”

Instead, he focused on his school work and is now crediting his parents for helping him prioritize the important things in life. He said, “They really wanted me to have a life, and not just on movie sets. I think they always wanted my sister and me to have a rich life, a life full of things that are full of soul and heart and real connection. That’s all they care about.”

He added, “My family, as a result, is the most important thing to me. Tomorrow, if Hollywood stopped calling, I’d still have my family.”

Country singers Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton set their sights on Jake Gyllenhaal at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night!

They took aim at the actor for dumping Taylor Swift and even went as far as suggesting that he might be gay.

Reba spoke out during the awards show questioning why he would do such a thing, but Blake had an answer. She said, “She’s beautiful, she’s talented, she’s sweet. What in the world was Jake Gyllenhaal thinking anyway?”

Blake replied, “Wait a minute, he was in Brokeback Mountain!”

Jake Gyllenhaal says that he was freaked out by his body double in his new movie Source Code.

He plays an injured helicopter pilot who is able to live the last eight minutes of another man’s life. Jake said that he found the prosthetic body double disturbing!

He said, “It was pretty creepy to behold. They had my eyes moving and my lips, it was quite freaky. The process of doing those things, making the cast and everything, is often even weirder than when you see the result of it because it’s so suffocating and strange.”

He went on to say, “But I’ve never seen something that looked so much like me and I even took a picture of it with me and my thumb up and then got really paranoid because I didn’t want anyone to like steal my phone and find my picture and be like, ‘That’s the ‘Source Code’!’ The brilliance of the artistry of how they did it is what blew me away more than anything.”

Reese Witherspoon married her Hollywood agent boyfriend Jim Toth on Saturday night — and in attendance were a lot of their celebrity friends. One person who didn’t make the guest list was her ex-boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal.

Jake spent the night bowling with some friends, instead.

A spy on the scene said, “They looked really into it and seemed really relaxed. As the game progressed, the guys started high-fiving each other; at one point Jake did what looked like a little dance after bowling a spare.”

Jake Gyllenhaal likes acting, but says that he feels he has a future in directing movies.

Jake says that he doesn’t want to quit acting anytime soon, but he does want to consider doing more behind the camera work in the future.

In a recent interview, he said, “Well, I do have a number of things that I’m developing. That’s probably where the future lies for me, but I’m not going to give up the day job just yet. I’d like to see where it goes.”

He went on to reveal, “You’re always wondering how long this will last. It’s a piece of being an actor. There’s always someone more talented or younger than you. But I also like to write. In years to come, I think that will expand. I won’t just be scrapping for the next job. Maybe I’ll create something for myself.”

Recently, Playgirl spokesman Daniel Nardicio put out a bounty on nude photos of CNN correspondent, Anderson Cooper. The rep offered up a cool $10,000 to anyone who could produce photos of Anderson. Since, he has rejected the offer after deciding better of it.

E-Online reports:

“I got some guys who claimed they had pics of Anderson’s goods, but then I did a gut check and the whole affair seemed unseemly,” Nardicio said.

And yes, Gyllenhaal’s recent urinal run-in influenced his decision.

“I changed my mind and took the offer off the table, considering Anderson is in Japan reporting and in light of the whole Jake Gyllenhaal urinal stalker,” he added.

Source Code actor Jake Gyllenhaal has revealed to the latest issue of Men’s Journal that he has an addiction to exercise!

He appears on the front cover of the magazine, but you can really tell lately that Jake’s been busy working out. He said, “I’ve had to teach myself to slow down a bit. Because I get so into it, it becomes a real addiction.”

He went on to reveal, “But, it’s like a New Year’s resolution — to sit down and read a book. Life’s not a bike ride. I wouldn’t say exerise less, but sit with myself.”

Jake Gyllenhaal had a bit of a run-in with a photographer during his promotion for new movie Source Code. Apparently the snapper wanted to take his picture — in the bathroom!

We’re told Jake was in the restroom, doing his thing, when a guy snapped off a pic. Not cool!

Although there are rumors a fight went down, we’re told Jake simply talked to the guy — who understood his mistake — and eventually the pic was deleted.

A guest at the party said, “They were outside near the restroom having a discussion. It seemed a bit more serious — it certainly wasn’t a ‘Hi, how are you?’ talk.”

What could they possibly have to talk about? They broke up in December because he said that she was too young. She has since latched onto Glee star Chord Overstreet.

The spy went on to reveal, “It seemed like they were catching up” and “sorting something out.” After their chat, Jake left while Taylor stayed and hung out with her friends. The source added, “They completely kept to themselves. She couldn’t be bothered by anyone.”

Her song, Enchanted, was said to be directed at Owl City singer Adam Young. So, for this Valentine’s Day, Adam replied in his own song and message to Taylor! The message he wrote is on his official website and is just super sweet!

The Love Story singer was feted by music industry executives, who handed her awards and plaques to celebrate her sales.

The biggest prize of the night came from the Recording Industry Association of America and commemorated total shipments of more than 13 million records.

There was no word as to whether or not Jake Gyllenhaal was there or if she’s started on her song that will be dedicated to him. Word is, she’s still looking for words that rhyme with Jake.
