Let me repeat that title: I really, really hope Arctic Monkeys doesn’t sue anybody over this. I say this twice because EarSucker has been the target of the Arctic Monkey lawyers in the past for linking to their music (some Web Sheriff/Sherrif/Sharif nonsense that isn’t worth exploring here), and I know for a fact that mashups are in that very gray zone of copyright law that gets IP lawyers horny.

The fucked up thing is that this mashup is really good and I just wasted a good twenty seconds of your time NOT talking about the music of “The Arctic Monkeys Brush the Dirt Off of Clint Eastwood’s Shoulders” or the other folks on this mashup song thingy. Which just makes me hate lawyers even more and endorse marching them into the ovens (okay that one is probably too far). Anyways, watch this awesome mashup some crazy wacky awesome YouTube guy made without consent from Jay Z, Arctic Monkeys, and Gorrilaz [sic]. Beyonce is taking a six month break from singing and performing to just enjoy life. Rumor has it that she is planning on doing more than just enjoying the sights.

Once she hangs up the microphone in February, she’s planning on recharging her batteries and just living life. She also admitted that she’s been waiting for some downtime to start family planning with hubby Jay-Z.

She told Allure, “I definitely want to have a child. I hope that those things will just happen naturally. I still haven’t had time to relax.”

Take all of the time you need, Bey. Your fans will be waiting.

Jay-Z is on the front cover of the February 2010 issue of “Interview” magazine.

It just goes to show you that you don’t have to be good looking to be a successful musician. Or to shack up with one of the hottest singers out there.

When speaking with Gotham magazine’s Cristina Greeven Cuomo, Jay-Z let it slip that he and Beyonce have been practicing a lot to have some babies.

Most recently, at the MTV EMAs, she thanked him for “putting a ring on it” and gave him a big smooch.

So what kind of mother do you think Bey will be? I’m totally guessing hover mom.

Jay-Z was giving an interview on BBC radio when the host asked about the whole Kanye West/Taylor Swift kerfuffle. The DJ said, “I think he’s picking his victims a bit, I don’t think he would’ve done it if that was 50 up there.”

Hov came back with, “I think he would’ve done it if that was 50 Cent, no one’s scared of 50 Cent.”

The DJ said, “Well, you know what I mean”, to which Jay-Z said, “I want everyone to be clear, no one’s scared of 50 Cent, so I just think that, that’s what he believe [sic]. I think it was rude. I thought it was inappropriate. And I told him as much. But I don’t think he was wrong.”

We can all look forward to some new Rihanna tunes as she gears up for the release of her fourth album. Play.com lists the new album becoming available on November 23, 2009.

She has enlisted the help of Tyson Ritter of The All-American Rejects, along with Ne-Yo, Drake, and Akon. Her new song with Jay-Z, titled “Run This Town” is also making the rounds.

The new album is yet to be titled.

Of course Jay-Z is defending Kanye West’s “Imma Let You Finish-Gate 2009″! That’s Hov’s woman that Kanye was praising.

Kanye West created a kerfuffle when he hijacked the stage from new VMA winner, Taylor Swift. He apologized twice on his blog, once on Jay Leno, and finally called Taylor to apologize on the phone.

Jay-Z is coming to Kanye’s defense…like we didn’t expect that!

He said, “Of course it was rude because it was her moment, but that’s the way he really felt. I think it was rude, but the way they’re treating him … He’s on the cover of every paper. He didn’t kill anybody. No one got harmed.”

He’s right, it wasn’t a murderous occasion, but Kanye was being a d-bag…and that’s all we want recognized. What’s funny is that Taylor is actually thinking about writing a song about it.

Kanye West really stole a special moment for Taylor Swift, but there are rumors surfacing now that this was all part of the act.

Reportedly, MTV wanted Jay-Z to perform for the VMAs, and he said that he would — under one condition: they would have to let Beyonce perform and make her look good. Didn’t you walk away from the awards show thinking that Beyonce was a total class act? Hmmmm….
