Former “Friends” actress Courteney Cox has ruled out the possibility of us ever getting a reunion for the show. In fact, she says that it will never happen. Ugh. She said that it would be a virtual impossibility to reunite the cast in one area long enough to film a reunion show or movie.
In a new interview, she revealed, “Let me tell you something. There’s six friends and I’ve been trying to put together a cast dinner for ten years. It doesn’t happen! I can get the girls to come, maybe Matthew Perry. Matt LeBlanc canceled last time right at the last minute, Schwimmer lives here [in New York City], so it’s just not gonna happen.”
When asked by David Letterman is she gets tired of all of the “Friends” questions, she said, “Only because once you say, ‘Well, I’d like it’, then they have to contact every other cast member and be like, ‘Courteney’s into it!’ And then I get in trouble. It’s not going to happen.”
She also said that there isn’t much of a scope left for a reunion story even if the cast members agreed to do the show. It ended on a good note for the cast in 2004 after a ten-year run. She added, “We did the whole show on a soundstage in Monica’s apartment. So what are you gonna do?”
