Jim Carrey’s 24-year-old daughter Jane opted to enter herself into the fray that is American Idol on last night’s special Sunday episode of the talent competition.

She appeared to not want to get a passing mark on the show just because of her famous father. In the end, isn’t that kind of what happened? We’re not saying that she’s not talented, but was she amazing? No.

In case you’ve missed the show last night after the NFC game, you can read our full recap of it here. The auditions took the cast and crew to San Diego, California, aboard the USS Midway. It was here that Jane said she wanted to make it on her own.

She was a bit flat in her version of Bonnie Raitt’s song, Something To Talk About. She hit some good notes, but was she overall American Idol quality? We don’t think so.

In the end, we feel that while talented, she likely got past the auditions because of who her father is. Having said that, we wish her luck on the show, because there is some fierce competition this season!

Jim Carrey spoofed the new movie, Black Swan, on Saturday Night Live – and by the looks of things, he was simply hilarious.

The Daily Mail has more:

The 48-year-old made a very unattractive woman as he strutted into the ballet studio saying, ‘Sorry I’m late. I had to go numbers 3 and 4′. When he sheds his jacket, instead of having angel wings he reveals chicken-wing like tattoos on his shoulder blades and made his presence felt.

He announced, ‘Get ready to rock, bitches’ as he started flailing around clumsily and looked more like a headless chicken running around rather than a graceful swan. When he is told to warm up in the ballet studio he says: ‘I’m already warm. I’ll all… swampy in my pants’.

As in the movie, Carrey seduces the director by sucking his finger provocatively but in Carrey-style then stuffs his fist in his mouth. When Carrey’s character is rejected for the lead role he looks into the camera and says, ‘Once you go Black.. Swan – you never go back… Swan’.

The actor then appears in the White Swan make-up and crown – but looks decidedly like a haggard drag queen.

Conan O’Brien tweeted last night that he was doing his “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On TV” show from his former spot at the Universal lot. He said, “I’m doing my live show tonight from the Universal lot where I taped The Tonight Show. So if a shot rings out, tell my wife I loved her.”

This is way too funny not to share. 50 Cent was at Sundance promoting his Vitamin Water when he got up on stage and brought Jim Carrey up there with him. Fiddy started rapping, “In Da Club” for Jim’s birthday.

It’s too funny. Someone didn’t tell Jim that white boys can’t dance….LOL
