American Idol judge Steven Tyler turns 64-years-old on March 26th and what better way to celebrate than to have his buddy on stage. Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry took to the stage to play Happy Birthday on his guitar for Steven.
To assist him in the song, he had the top ten contestants sing the song with the audience to Steven.
Happy birthday Steven Tyler!

Joe Perry involved in a motorcycle accident
by Jeffrey Noble on Jul.16, 2010, under articles

Aerosmith’s lead guitarist, Joe Perry was in a motorcycle accident with a 62 year-old woman named Linda O’Brien. They where both unharmed, but Linda was charged with following too closely. The police said he was driving his 2009 Ducati Monster 696 when he was hit. He was taken to Morton Hospital and released shortly thereafter.
Thank god his injuries where minor. Watch what you’re doing, lady, he has to play at the ‘Cocked, Locked, Ready to Rock’ tour. I wonder what she was thinking (OH MY FREAKIN GOD, I JUST HIT JOE PERRY). She must feel terrible….if she even knows who he is.
What would you do if you hit a famous guitar legend?
Steven Tyler said Led Zeppelin was already the best
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.10, 2010, under articles
Joe Perry recently outed Steven Tyler for auditioning for Led Zeppelin. Now, the singer comes forth with the story and why he loved the experience.
Perry said that the auditions were “shambolic” because Steven was under the impression that they were recording new material.
Of the auditions, Steven said, “The kid in me was dying. I got to sing every song from ‘Black Dog’ up and down and I’ll never forget it as long as I live. I don’t think a band like theirs needs a singer like me. They already had the best; they were the best.”
Talent knows talent, what can I say? He wouldn’t have been great in Zeppelin, but Aerosmith is nothing without him.
Steven Tyler tried out for Led Zeppelin
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.04, 2010, under articles
According to Contact Music, Steven Tyler auditioned to be Led Zeppelin’s frontman right after Robert Plant bailed from their planned reunion tour in 2008. Who knew?
Joe Perry said Tyler tried out for the job but rehearsals between him, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were chaotic.
Perry said, “Steven disappeared and I called around. Somebody said he was in London trying out for Led Zeppelin.” (continue reading…)
Aerosmith is replacing Steven Tyler
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.19, 2010, under articles
According to guitarist Joe Perry, the guys in Aerosmith are looking for a “temporary” replacement for singer, Steven Tyler.
They are set to start auditions in February for a new singer to fill in for Tyler as he readies himself to return to the band. Tyler is set to undergo some operations that will keep him out of the band for up to a year-and-a-half.
Perry said, “We’re already getting the word out there. The word’s been out there for a while. We’ll start having some auditions, making some phone calls. Hopefully, we’ll have found a new singer by the summer, and Aerosmith will be able to go back out on the road. From what I’ve heard, [Tyler] hasn’t left the band. As far as I’m concerned, he hasn’t left the band. He’s never said he was going to leave the band. But his manager has told our manager that he wants to take some time off. And then lately he’s been saying he wants to come back.” (continue reading…)
Buckcherry Frontman Josh Todd to replace Steven Tyler in Aerosmith?
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.17, 2009, under articles
Even though it’s been said that the guys in Aerosmith are not breaking up, Steven Tyler might be on hiatus from the band for an entire two years.
Joe Perry has said that the band still wants to play, so they may be looking around for replacements. In a new poll, “Rolling Stone” asked its readers who should replace the aged rocker. The readers responded that Buckcherry’s frontman, Josh Todd, would be an adequate replacement.
Here are their top five replacement selections:
1. Josh Todd (Buckcherry)
2. David Johansen (New York Dolls)
3. David Lee Roth
4. Iggy Pop
5. Adam Lambert
I don’t think anyone would be able to replace Steven Tyler. He’s unique, old school, and classic. To replace that would take away from the band’s signature sound. What do you think?
WTF? Aerosmith is still splitting up?
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.12, 2009, under articles
Now I’m confused.
Joe Perry and Brad Whitford said that they would be looking for a new singer for Aerosmith, since they thought Steven Tyler had quit the band. Even more recently, Steven performed “Walk This Way” with the Joe Perry Project and gave the proclamation that he’s “the rainbow” and that he’s not leaving the band.
Fast forward to today, where Joe is saying that he’s not convinced Steven is still with the band. Joe said that even though Steven made an appearance, he left right afterward without speaking to anyone. Joe seems like a little girl here, doesn’t he? It’s like he’s waiting by the phone for HIM to call. Jesus, dude, pick up a phone, send a text, tweet him, skywrite that crap, do something. But, please, never whine.
Joe says, “There was all this commotion during our encore break and somebody said, ‘Steven is here.’ I was like, ‘What?’ So he came up and sang and that was the last I saw of him.”
Joe and the guys are still considering taking a break without Steven.(!) He added, “He wants to take two years off from the band. The rest of the band wants to keep on working. We have so many different options to fill up that time. Anything is possible at this point.”
Fans will be lost while you guys search for your new frontman and still call the band Aerosmith. Trust.

Steven Tyler is not quitting Aerosmith! (Video)
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.11, 2009, under articles
After creating a mass hysteria (thanks to Brad and Joe), we’ve just learned that Steven Tyler will continue on as the mouthpiece for Aerosmith. Thank God for small favors!
The news started when Brad Whitford was quoted as saying that they may have to seek out another singer, along with Joe Perry whining that Steven doesn’t return his calls and blah blah blah.
Well, folks, none of it is true. Steven isn’t going anywhere and Aerosmith will remain intact. He took the stage while Joe was performing with his act, The Joe Perry Project and cleared the whole thing up.

Joe Perry tweets that Aerosmith is not breaking up
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.09, 2009, under articles
A couple of days ago, I unleashed a bit of a tirade against the guys in Aerosmith for trying to give frontman Steven Tyler the axe. Now, Joe Perry is tweeting about the rumors.
Steven Tyler cannot be replaced as Aerosmith’s frontman
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.06, 2009, under articles
Note to Brad Whitford, Joe Perry, and you other twats involved in this nonsense: If you try to replace Steven Tyler as the singer in Aerosmith, you will lose A LOT of fans. A LOT!
According to NME, Joe Perry said that after Steven fell off the stage, ACCIDENTALLY, that he had “got to get his act together” if the band are to survive.
HE FELL OFF OF A STAGE, MORONS.
Brad said, “I’m not sure how good that would look, it would largely depend on who we could get and who would want to do it. That’s big shoes to fill.”
You’re freakin’ right those are big shoes to fill. No one can.
