Adam Lambert’s For Your Entertainment goes gold!
by roberta on Feb.11, 2010, under articles
Our congratulations go out to Adam Lambert on his debut album, “For Your Entertainment”, for going gold!
FYE has now sold over 500,000 copies, which marks its status as a gold record. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard Top 100 Chart and hasn’t yet fallen below the top fifty since being introduced.
It also appears that there’s been an effect on new American Idol competitors, as well. This was thought to be brought on by Lambert’s willingness to add his own style and flair to a song. Of the Adam Lambert effect, Kara DioGuardi said, “I think that people were interpreting songs from the get-go in audition week. They weren’t just singing them the way they were sung by the people who originally recorded them. They were kind of taking some risks, and I like that. And maybe that is because of Adam.”
Congrats Adam!
Howard Stern would replace Simon Cowell for $100 million
by roberta on Feb.08, 2010, under articles
Howard Stern addressed rumors that he is gearing up to replace Simon Cowell as a judge on “American Idol”.
The shock jock said, “They’d have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough. Yeah I would do that show for $100 million.”
I would love to see that. We’d have Howard, Ellen and Randy. Now if they would only can Kara DioGuardi, it would be the best show ever.
Kara DioGuardi says there was no Katy Perry feud
by roberta on Jan.27, 2010, under articles
According to Kara DioGuardi, there was no feud between herself and singer Katy Perry on last night’s “American Idol”.
When talking about the so-called feud with Ryan Seacrest, she said, “I think that’s really funny. People actually think that I was upset by this – like there was tension. When I look at it, I think that it’s really funny. I think that it’s really good that she disagreed with me. I think that it’s important that people have different opinions or else wants to watch the show. It’d be boring.”
When asked by Seacrest if there was any tension between the two, she replied, “Not really.”
She said, “It’s Katy. I’ve known Katy for a long time. I remember Katy when she was jumping up and down on consoles. She had more energy than the room could actually take.” (continue reading…)
Photo: The 2010 American Idol judges
by roberta on Jan.07, 2010, under articles
Now that Ellen DeGeneres is in as the fourth “American Idol” judge, the talent competition has released this photo showing all of the judges.
I can’t help but to think that they should have kept Paula Abdul and traded Kara DioGuardi for Ellen. Either way, I hope Ellen will run the show with her comedy and that somebody will tell Kara to keep her trap shut.

Adam Lambert & New Mystery Man – Photos
by roberta on Jun.02, 2009, under articles
Adam Lambert didn’t seem to mind all of those gay rumors as he walked out of Guys & Dolls nightclub in West Hollywood last night. He was hand in hand with a new mystery man, confirming previous speculation as to his sexuality.
He was smiling for the cameras as he made his exit from the club. Even though “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi took it upon herself to out him to the world via “The View” and his mother’s refusal to confirm the news, this seals it in for the unbelievers.
His mother, Leila Lambert, said, “I would rather not answer until it comes out”, adding that she signed a contract with “American Idol” prohibiting her discussion of his personal life. It was also rumored that Adam would be coming out officially in an upcoming issue of “Rolling Stone” magazine.
The View Ladies Talk About Kara DioGuardi Outting Adam Lambert – Video
by roberta on Jun.01, 2009, under articles
The ladies from “The View” talked about “American Idol” judge
Kara DioGuardi’s outting of Adam Lambert on the show previously.
Barbara Walters said that she asked about Adam Lambert because of the consensus of people saying that he lost “American Idol” because he’s gay. I even asked that myself, on the night of the announcement that Kris Allen had won, because it seemed so clear that Adam was the better entertainer.
Kara DioGuardi Outs Adam Lambert On ‘The View’ – Video
by roberta on May.29, 2009, under Uncategorized
Kara DioGuardi has the let the gay cat out of the bag as far as “American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert is concerned.
Even though Lambert hasn’t really addressed the rumors circulating as to whether or not he’s gay, DioGuardi has called it like she sees it.
Considering all of the pictures that were leaked of him in drag and smooching up on another guy, I didn’t think it was an issue worthy of him being closeted.
Rumor has it that Lambert will declare his sexuality with the inevitable, “Yes, I’m Gay!” “Rolling Stone” cover. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Kris Allen & Adam Lambert Perform On ‘The Today Show’ – Videos
by roberta on May.28, 2009, under articles
Adam Lambert and “American Idol” winner Kris Allen performed on “The Today Show” earlier today.

First, the guys talked about the show and how things have changed for them. Kris was also asked about “TextGate” whereas AT&T were said to have rigged the results in favor of his win on the show. Kris joked that he didn’t call AT&T and tell them that he needed more votes.
Adam said that he rolled his eyes when he heard the news and said that people are just looking for something to be dramatic about. He adds that there is no conspiracy, so relax.
And Adam says that he will not be working with Queen!
The guys also performed for the show, with Kris singing “Heartless” and Adam singing, “Mad World”:
Kris also sang the “American Idol” coronation song, written by Kara DioGuardi, “No Boundaries”:
I love how well they got along throughout the show and the results. It bodes well for both of their careers.

Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell Slams Kara Dioguardi
by roberta on May.22, 2009, under articles
I guess Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell really wants to keep her fifteen minutes going, but seriously, someone should tell her that her time is up.

When she performed “Vision Of Love” by Mariah Carey on the season finale of “American Idol”, Kara DioGuardi came out and showed her up.
Not so, says Darrell, in a new interview.
When asked who has the better body in a bikini, Katrina said, “I’m not 50-years-old and I do spray tan.”
She was then asked what she was thinking throughout Kara’s performance, what was going through her mind? She answered, “Well, at first I’m singing, and I hear this voice and I had no idea where it was coming from. And I’m thinking is that Mariah? Nooooo. It’s not Mariah. Then I realized who it was. And then I didn’t know if I was supposed to keep singing, so I started to sing again, but then they had shut my mic off, and I’m like ‘Oh, well I guess she’s singing.’”
She goes on to say that she didn’t think that American Idol tried to embarrass her, but they tested her. When asked whether or not she thought if Kara should come back next year, she responded that she wasn’t sure why they added a fourth judge in the first place. She added that Kara’s ratings aren’t too good, so we’ll see.
Who do you want to see more of? Kara DioGuardi or Katrina Darrell?

Kara DioGuardi Tries To Outdo Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell – Photo
by roberta on May.20, 2009, under articles
Remember when Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell auditioned for “American Idol”? She showed up bikini-clad and kissing on Ryan Seacrest. People said that she got the male vote because of how she looked….

Well she showed her face again on tonight’s finale…and who better to show her up again, but Kara DioGuardi!
The bikini look: Who owned it? And why does Kara have to make EVERYTHING about herself? Just sayin’.

Kris Allen Becomes The Next American Idol!
by roberta on May.20, 2009, under articles
After winning the coin toss last week and having Adam Lambert go first, the two of the guys really gave it their all.

Adam sang “A Change Is Gonna Come”, “Mad World”, and Kara DioGuardi’s song, “No Boundaries” and really wowed the crowd.
But it wasn’t enough! The underdog, Kris Allen, has come through as the winner of the American Idol crown for season eight!
Are you upset that Adam didn’t win? What are your thoughts?
American Idol Song Choices
by roberta on May.19, 2009, under articles
Tonight’s American Idol finale sing-off is going to be a rockin’ occasion…or not.

Kris Allen won the coin toss last week, so he chose Adam Lambert to sing first.
Check out their song choices:
Adam Lambert:
Producer’s Choice: A Change is Gonna Come (Patti LaBelle version)
Contestant’s Choice: Mad World (Tears for Fears)
Coronation: No Boundaries (written by Kara DioGuardi)
Kris Allen:
Producer’s Choice: What’s Going On? (Marvin Gaye)
Contestant’s Choice: Ain’t No Sunshine (Bill Withers)
Coronation: No Boundaries (written by Kara DioGuardi)
What do you think of the choices? And what is up with the coronation song being written by Kara DioGuardi? I liked what they did with that last year better. They had an unknown songwriter pen the song and flew him and his partner in for the finale. Boo on American Idol.

Kara DioGuardi Only On ‘American Idol’ For One Season?
by roberta on May.01, 2009, under articles
Kara DioGuardi, the fourth judge on American Idol, says that she’s not sure whether or not she’ll be back for another season of the show.

She says, “I’m only here for one season. That’s what we’ve discussed. So we’ll see what happens. Hopefully, they’ll keep me on.”
First, it was rumored that Paula Abdul would be the one leaving the show. Prior to that, Kara was noted as being the feisty judge, talking smack about Bikini Girl, Katrina Darrell and calling Simon Cowell out for not letting her speak.
Cowell commented this on whether or not DioGuardi would return, “I would imagine so, but the only say I have is about Ryan, Randy and Paula. I’ve always made it clear that I wouldn’t like to do the show without them. So that’s all I’m really concerned about.”
Either way, she says it’s all good:
“My life has become extremely exciting and I am so excited for this opportunity,” she says. “I feel grateful to America that they let me grow and they let me find my groove on the show and that they were patient. And hopefully I haven’t disappointed them. It’s been a scary experience at times.”
Think she should stay or should they let her go?
At least she’ll always have work.

Is Paula Abdul Leaving ‘American Idol’?
by roberta on Apr.21, 2009, under articles

Paula Abdul insists that her and fourth American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi are good friends and that she couldn’t possibly replace her on the show. Her contract is up after this season and it just might be time to move on for the former singer.
It was also rumored that DioGuardi was brought in to the show to replace her. To that she says, “I don’t think anyone can. First of all, Kara says, ‘I could never replace you.’”
She adds, “Whenever there is change, it’s not about replacing anybody, it’s about possibly moving on. But I love the show, I do. I love what I do on the show, and I’m loving it more this season than ever. It’s taken me awhile to get comfortable in my own skin with the show.”
Think she’s going to leave? What else is she going to do? Perform? I miss her singing days, even though I don’t know what kind of performer she’d be at the moment.

Kara DioGuardi In ‘Theory Of A Deadman’s’ New Video
by roberta on Mar.31, 2009, under articles

Here’s American Idol’s new fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi, in the new video for “Theory Of A Deadman“, called “Not Meant To Be”.
I guess their stunt-casting worked, because I had no idea who this band was until I saw that she was in it. And they’re not bad, either. Anything that draws my attention to decent new music is good enough for me.
They remind of a little bit Hinder mixed in with Chris Daughtry. Maybe it’s just me. Very melodic and it has a catchy hook. Not too shabby. Well played guys.
What do you think? Besides that, what do you think of Kara’s part in the video as the love interest?

Bikini Girl Katrina Darrell VS. Kara DioGuardi Round Two
by roberta on Feb.04, 2009, under articles
Katrina Darrell was pushed forward to Hollywood Week on American Idol because the guys were so infatuated with her “attire” at her audition. At Hollywood Week, she sang “Breathe” by Faith Hill.
It looked like new judge Kara DioGuardi was going to say something nice about her singing, but then it just went downhill from there.
How does this girl keep getting pushed through to each round? She doesn’t sound all that bad, but she’s picking the worst songs to sing for the type of voice she has.
Hopefully soon enough, we’ll be able to move this girl to the American Idol Rejects category of the site, it’ll be her new home. Bo Bice and Danny Noriega will keep her in good company.
Update: Katrina Darrell got the boot when it came to the group round. (I’ll start watching when it gets good, I promise.)
