Jaleel White Reacts To 'Dancing With The Stars' Elimination

“Family Matters” stars Jaleel White and his professional dance partner Kym Johnson have become the latest couple to be eliminated from “Dancing With The Stars“. White isn’t mad about his exit from the hit dancing competition, in fact, he doesn’t have any regrets about taking part in the show.

After the elimination, he said that the biggest thing he is taking away from the experience is “Friendships!” He went on to say, “Believe me, when I go to Miami I’m calling William Levy!”

He also talked about working with Johnson, saying, “If anything, I really respected her work ethic, so that’s why I enjoyed having my daughter around her. I always want my daughter to see me work and it’s not all fame and games. It’s work. We put it in.”

White will next take on his new game show, “Total Blackout”, of which he says, “I’m really happy people are seeing me in a different light. I’ve been stepping out my comfort zone and I’m going to keep on doing it.”

VIDEO: Dancing With The Stars Eliminates Jaleel White

Dancing With The Stars” claimed another victim in last night’s elimination episode. “Family Matters” actor Jaleel White and his professional dance partner Kym Johnson was eliminated from the competition.

The dancing duo were pitted against Disney star Roshon Fegan and his partner Chelsie Hightower. The bottom two couples had to perform a Rumba in the last Dance Duel of the season.

Both displayed excellent technique and form in their dances, but the judges couldn’t save both. In the end, it was a unanimous decision to save Roshon and Chelsie. Watch the video below:

Do you think the judges sent home the right couple? We’ve heard rumblings from “DWTS” fans that the Dance Duel should have included Melissa Gilbert. She had already commented that she would not be able to survive the Rumba in the Dance Duel. Do you think it was her time to go?

On tonight’s episode of Dancing With The Stars, Family Matters actor Jaleel White and his professional dance partner Kym Johnson are taking on the Viennese Waltz. It’s our favorite week of the season!

As always, we are live-blogging all of the action in tonight’s show, so you can read all about that here.

Our commentary on the dance:

They’re dancing to I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction) by The Rolling Stones. The dance isn’t bad at all. He’s very light on his feet and has the right moves.

Judge’s comments:

Carrie Ann: She loved it. There was something funky and weird about it. It was smooth, but try to be more staccato.
Len: He agrees with Carrie Ann and likes the humor he put into it. It needed more attack. As a performance, it was great.
Bruno: He loved it. He’s got to have the stalking, but the performance was good. Len is right, it needed more drive and more aggression in the footwork.

Carrie Ann Inaba: 8

Jaleel White Talks About Dancing With The Stars

Jaleel White Talks About Dancing With The Stars

Jaleel White is ready to rock the dance floor on the new season of Dancing With The Stars. In a new interview with Starpulse, the actor opened up about his attempt to win the Mirror Ball trophy.

For season 14, Jaleel is partnered up with Kym Johnson and talked about how he’s going to try to win the dancing competition.

When asked how he reacted to learning that his partner is Kym, he revealed, “I was thrilled – it was the feather in my cap! I am happy to have someone reputable and I don’t have to question her background. I’m just doing what I am told with her.”

He was asked what scares him the most about putting himself out there on the show and he said, “Just going from one dance to another one, the sense of accomplishment is a little short lived.”

He was also asked how he feels about being one of the fan favorites this season. He said, “I’ve been on television for a majority of my life and I’m so grateful for that and I’m honored that all the times I have been on television has translated to the fan favorite thing.”

When speaking of being a fan of the show or watching it on television, he said, “I’m not going to be one of those cornball people who work in TV but say they don’t watch TV. I’ve never really watched the show in its entirety but if you are on the net at all you are obviously going to see clips of Rob Kardashian and Hines Ward and whoever and I watched those. So that’s all I really watched of the show but my mom and my manager were huge fans and convinced me to say yes, so that’s basically why I am doing Dancing With The Stars.”

He added, “Can I tell you my secret weapon? I am taking it one week at a time. I’m not thinking about week 5 or 6 – I have five days to prepare for this week and that’s all that matters.”

Will you be rooting for Jaleel tonight?

David Arquette's Dancing With The Stars Performance Video 10/17/11

It’s 80′s Week on Dancing With This Stars and dancing seventh is David Arquette and his professional dance partner, Kym Johnson. They’re doing the Tango to Tainted Love by Soft Cell.

David does a good impression of Len, it’s hilarious. He said that he wants to show a connection to the dance. He wants to show the audience that he can really dance. Love the outfits! Do you think he’s got enough zippers???

WATCH:

They dance very nicely together, I like it. What a great performance, I can feel that he put a lot of work into it and he doesn’t look half bad, either. Very nicely done!

Len Goodman said he’s the old fuddy duddy, but it had a great eighties feel and the choreography was great. He said David has to show up or shut up and David showed up and it was fantastic.

Bruno Tonioli said it was a Tango with a rebel yell. He said that’s the way to go.

Carrie Ann Inaba said he’s improving tremendously over the weeks. What he needs to work on is musicality and he’s coming up to be a contender.

Scores:

Carrie Ann: 8
Len: 9
Bruno: 8

David Arquette & Kym Johnson's Dancing With The Stars Week 4 Tango 10/10/11 (Video)

Dancing second on last night’s Dancing With The Stars was actor David Arquette and his professional dance partner Kym Johnson, doing the Paso Doble to the theme from Raiders Of The Lost Ark. In case you’ve missed the show last night, you can check out our official recap here.

This was a really interesting dance, as always….we thought it was pretty good. But we really like David Arquette and want him to stay in the competition, because he tries so hard. The results are well executed, as well.

Bruno Tonioli said that he loved the way David cracked his whip! The only advice he had to offer was to watch his turns.

Carrie Ann Inaba said that David saved the day! She also said that this week, there has been an incredible amount of bravado.

Len Goodman said that he liked the entry and his attitude, but afterward, it was the Temple Of Doom. The crowd boo’ed! Len said that he didn’t see the good posture or the tight buttocks (like Bruno said he did…)

David Arquette & Kym Johnson's Dancing With The Stars Rumba (Video)

On last night’s performance episode of Dancing With The Stars, actor David Arquette and his professional dance partner Kym Johnson performed a Rumba. In case you’ve missed last night’s show, you can read our official recap here.

The video:

Taking to the floor last, David dedicated his Rumba to his daughter, Coco. He said that his most memorable year was the year that he became separated and fell into alcohol abuse. They danced very well and this was definitely his comeback dance.

Len Goodman started off the judge’s commentary by saying that he did a great job and he’s proud of David.

Bruno Tonioli said the dance was wonderful.

Carrie Ann said that the dance was a nice comeback and he brought back more of himself. She called the dance pure and honest.

David Arquette & Kym Johnson’s Dancing With The Stars Jive (Video)

David Arquette & Kym Johnson's Dancing With The Stars Jive (Video)

Actor David Arquette and his professional dance partner, Kym Johnson, danced third on last night’s episode of Dancing With The Stars. They performed a cute and fast Jive and it was an improvement over last week’s dance (even though that was pretty well done, as well).

Check out the video:

Carrie Ann Inaba said that Carson has some competition. She said that it was a little bit “Carson-esque” and what she loved about it was that incredible enthusiasm about it that came out of him. She said that he totally let loose and let it all hang out. She commented that last week he was in his head a lot and was too serious, but this week, it all came out. She said he almost lost control a few times, but this is the direction he needs to stay in.

Len Goodman said that he is almost speechless and asked if it was time for Castle now? He said that any connection that had with a Jive was coincidence and that the technique wasn’t there. He said he liked the enthusiasm that he came out with, but it was a little bit wild and frantic.

Bruno Tonioli said they told him not to hold back and he definitely did not hold back. He said David is like a runaway train and the problem is that he went on the border of derailment. He said David lost some of the timing and technique, but he is starting to find his persona and he’s performing with confidence.

Judge’s Scores:

Carrie Ann: 6
Len: 6
Bruno: 6
Total: 18/30

What did you think of David and Kym’s Jive? Were they too harsh on him? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. If you’ve missed last night’s show, check out our recap here.

POLL: Was The Right Couple Eliminated On ‘Dancing With The Stars’?

by on May.18, 2011, under articles

Was The Right Couple Eliminated On 'Dancing With The Stars'?

Last night’s Dancing With The Stars saw the elimination of professional dancer Karina Smirnoff and her partner Ralph Macchio. Upon our examination of the comments from our recap on the show, some thought it was unfair to oust the actor from the Semi-Finals show.

On Monday night’s show, Ralph and Karina performed the Argentine Tango first, scoring them a total of 25 points. For their second dance, they scored 23 points for their Salsa, which wasn’t as bad as the judges made it out to be. Bruno Tonioli even insulted Karina’s choice of attire, with a terrible comment. Afterward, they were pitted against Hines Ward and Kym Johnson for the first round of the newly implemented “Winner Takes All Cha Cha”.

Our friends at CelebDirtyLaundry made the suggestion that perhaps the judges were trying to rig the competition. We were thrown off by the addition of the “Winner Takes All Cha Cha”, considering that it put Chelsea over fan favorite Ralph with that extra fifteen points.

So, since the voting from the public didn’t come into play on Monday night’s show, do you think that the judges had their favorite to be in the finals? Do you think it was right of them to put Ralph up against Hines? Or would it have been more fair if Ralph went up against Kirstie? Let us know your thoughts!

Take our poll: Was the right couple eliminated on Tuesday night’s results show?

Dancing With The Stars week two recap 3/28/10

Dancing With The Stars is back for week two and they all have another chance to make good scores due to the fact that no one was eliminated last week!

Dancing first were Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya, doing the Jive. Len commented that Sugar Ray was in jeopardy already. Bruno said that it was too soft around the edges. They scored 17 points.

Dancing next were Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel, doing the Quickstep. Len commented that her posture was a bit hit and miss. Overall, there was improvement over last week. They scored a total of 19 points.

Up next on the dance floor were Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas, dancing the Jive. It was an entertaining dance, yet the judges said that there wasn’t much of a Jive to it. Carrie Ann said that she didn’t care for the choreography. They scored a total of 18 points.

Dancing the Quickstep are Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke. His dancing seemed a bit stiff, but overall, it looked like he was having fun. At points, it seemed a bit effortless for Chris, which is a bonus. They scored a total of 23 points.

Up next are Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin, doing the Jive. She did a pretty good performance. Len said, “Long legs, bad technique”, but she “did it beautifully.” They scored a total of 18 points.

Dancing next are Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, doing the Quickstep. They did a good job, I loved their dance, even though it wasn’t my favorite song choice…Ha. She ended the dance with a big kiss for Maks! They scored a total of 20 points.

Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer are up next, doing the Jive. He was truly awful and slow and stiff — and that’s being kind. Obviously, this guy needs to stick to radio. They scored a total of 17 points.

Dancing next are Romeo and Chelsie Hightower, doing the Quickstep. They looked cute and a little disconnected. He looked like he was about to mess up at any minute. They scored a total of 23 points.

Next up are Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani doing the Quickstep. This dance wasn’t very quick, considering that it’s a Quickstep. Too many props, too, in my opinion. They scored a total of 17 points.

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff danced the Jive next. They did really well, the dance was fast and fun! He’s 49 and he’s dancing like he’s 20. You go, Karate Kid! They scored a total of 21 points.

Hines Ward and Kym Johnson danced the Quickstep next. They did decent, but not spectacular. I can see him doing better in a ballroom styled dance, instead of something that was supposed to be so fast. They scored a total of 23 points.

Who are you rooting for???
