Chaz Bono Upset At DWTS Judges Over Animal Comments
by Roberta Ferguson on Oct.25, 2011, under articles

As it turns out, Maksim Chmerkovskiy wasn’t the only one miffed at the judges on Dancing With The Stars last night. Apparently Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer were also offended — but for different reasons.
After performing their Tango, judge Bruno Tonioli had some rather unflattering comments for the author. Bruno said, “It was like watching a cute little penguin try to be a big, menacing bird of prey. It has to be menacing, dark, dangerous, hypnotic…like a panther stalking.”
After the show, Chaz said, “I always go out there and give my best and I feel like I’ve improved week to week and I don’t feel like this week was any different.”
His partner Lacey said, “They called you an animal. They said you have a bad personality. I think it’s fair to say he’s not a favorite.”
Chaz said, “I’ve been called an Ewok, a cute and cuddly bear, now tonight a penguin. It’s disrespectful to me.”
Lacey said, “It’s rude and unnecessary, and as his friend I’m embarrassed. We are both anti-bullying…And having the judge refer to him as animals or dis his personality, it’s unnecessary. It’s rude and it’s going back on everything that people are trying to fix. It’s disappointing that it has to be here and it has to be one of my friends.”
She added, “I cried today because I was so hurt, and I was so embarrassed that they had said that. I’m glad that Maks stood up, because I was about to jump on that table and rip their heads off.”

Chaz Bono’s Dancing With The Stars Samba Performance Video 10/17/11
by Jessica LeFevre on Oct.17, 2011, under articles

Dancing sixth on 80′s Week of Dancing With The Stars is activist and author Chaz Bono and his professional dance partner, Lacey Schwimmer. They’re doing the Samba to Kool & The Gang’s song, Get Down On It.
They brought in Lacey’s father, Buddy Schwimmer, to show Chaz that bigger men can shake it, too.
It’s a shame that Chaz didn’t pick up any of the tips that Buddy offered, because this dance is heinous and terrible. Ugh, if he gets through again, I might have to stop watching.
WATCH:
Carrie Ann Inaba said it was the most dancing she saw him do during the competition.
Len Goodman called it a gallant effort and he came out and really gave it a go.
Bruno Tonioli said he was giving the wiggle, which is hard to do. He said that J.R. was a tough act to follow, but he did very well.
Scores:
Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
Total: 21/30

Chaz Bono & Lacey Schwimmer’s Dancing With The Stars Paso Doble 10/10/11 (Video)
by Jessica LeFevre on Oct.11, 2011, under articles

Dancing in eighth place on last night’s performance episode of Dancing With The Stars was Chaz Bono and his professional dance partner Lacey Schwimmer doing the Paso Doble to the theme from Rocky. In case you’ve missed last night’s show, you can check out our official recap here.
This dance was the most awful dance of the entire night. It really was truly awful and we’re not sure exactly why Chaz is allowed to keep coming back every week. Oh yeah, that’s right, because his mother, Cher, was there last night. She cried and applauded, which just goes to show, Cher was proud and doesn’t know a good Paso Doble from anything. If we would’ve cried, it would’ve been because it sucked that much.
Bruno Tonioli said that no matter how many knocks he takes, he just keeps coming back and getting stronger.
Carrie Ann Inaba said he makes her root for him and that he has true courage.
Len Goodman said that he keeps getting stronger, but it wasn’t a knockout performance. But, after the audience boo’ed appropriately, he added that it was his best performance, to date.
Still, that’s not saying much, is it?
Scores:
Carrie Ann: 7
Len: 7
Bruno: 7
Total: 21/30

Chaz Bono & Lacey Schwimmer’s Dancing With The Stars Rumba (Video)
by Jessica LeFevre on Oct.04, 2011, under articles

Dancing in third place on last night’s Dancing With The Stars was Chaz Bono and his professional dancing partner, Lacey Schwimmer, doing the Rumba. He dedicated the dance to his late father, Sonny Bono. If you’ve missed last night’s show, you can read our official recap here.
The dance was a bit slow and boring to me. It seemed really uninspired, considering it was supposed to be an emotional time in his life.
Check out the video:
Starting off the judge’s commentary, Carrie Ann Inaba said that she was impressed by his courage, but this was not his best performance.
Len Goodman said this Rumba was his best dance this season.
Bruno Tonioli ended the judge’s commentary by saying that Chaz has an endearing quality about him and that the Rumba is a difficult dance. He said that Chaz did really well.
Scores:
Carrie Ann: 6
Len: 6
Bruno: 6
Total: 18/30

Chaz Bono & Lacey Schwimmer’s Dancing With The Stars Quickstep (Video)
by Jessica LeFevre on Sep.27, 2011, under articles

Dancing eighth on last night’s episode of Dancing With The Stars, was Chaz Bono and his professional dance partner, Lacey Schwimmer, doing the Quick Step.
Slow and boring, like he didn’t know what was going on. But he was wearing a pasted on smile. Terrible. Bruno said the Quick Step has to be fast. Carrie Ann said he handled the pain well and it can’t cover the fact that he didn’t dance quickly. Len said he got through it, however, it is a Quick Step and he moves faster through the car wash.
Check out the video below:
Chaz was in pain, but does that make up for poor dancing skill? Are you giving him another chance to try again next week? Or should he go home and rest his knees?

Chaz Bono Will Dance His Butt Off On Dancing With The Stars
by Lydia Harris on Sep.05, 2011, under articles

Chaz Bono, along with the producers of Dancing With The Stars have received a lot of flack for signing on to the show’s thirteenth season. But it hasn’t been all bad. For his fans, Chaz says that he vows to dance his butt off to show his appreciation.
He said that he and partner Lacey Schwimmer plan to perform to the best of their ability when the show launches on September 19th.
On his Twitter page, he wrote, “Thanks again to everyone for all the support, @LaceySchwimmer and I appreciate it. To show our gratitude we’ll dance our butts of on 9/19.”
He also revealed that he is intimidated by fellow celebrity Carson Kressly’s moves and thinks he’ll make some fierce competition. He tweeted, “@CarsonKressley I bet you’re going to be fierce competition.”
Lacey also said that Chaz has already lost five pounds in six days of training for the show. She said, “He’s lost 5lbs in six days. It’s so great. He says he’s not eating any differently, he’s just dancing. He’s such a great guy. He is so nice, and he’s such a kind person. He’s awesome. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner this time.”

The next couple safe are Romeo and Chelsie Hightower, leaving Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer to find out their fate later on in the show. I’m still convinced that Mike is going home tonight.
Chris Brown performed Forever in some human light show garbage. I wasn’t impressed. Moving on.
Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel are safe, in addition to Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin. Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani are set to find out their fate soon.
Wendy and Tony are safe, leaving Sugar Ray and Mike in the bottom two.

Dancing With The Stars week two recap 3/28/11
by Roberta Ferguson on Mar.28, 2011, under articles

Dancing With The Stars is back for week two and they all have another chance to make good scores due to the fact that no one was eliminated last week!
Dancing first were Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya, doing the Jive. Len commented that Sugar Ray was in jeopardy already. Bruno said that it was too soft around the edges. They scored 17 points.
Dancing next were Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel, doing the Quickstep. Len commented that her posture was a bit hit and miss. Overall, there was improvement over last week. They scored a total of 19 points.
Up next on the dance floor were Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas, dancing the Jive. It was an entertaining dance, yet the judges said that there wasn’t much of a Jive to it. Carrie Ann said that she didn’t care for the choreography. They scored a total of 18 points.
Dancing the Quickstep are Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke. His dancing seemed a bit stiff, but overall, it looked like he was having fun. At points, it seemed a bit effortless for Chris, which is a bonus. They scored a total of 23 points.
Up next are Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin, doing the Jive. She did a pretty good performance. Len said, “Long legs, bad technique”, but she “did it beautifully.” They scored a total of 18 points.
Dancing next are Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, doing the Quickstep. They did a good job, I loved their dance, even though it wasn’t my favorite song choice…Ha. She ended the dance with a big kiss for Maks! They scored a total of 20 points.
Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer are up next, doing the Jive. He was truly awful and slow and stiff — and that’s being kind. Obviously, this guy needs to stick to radio. They scored a total of 17 points.
Dancing next are Romeo and Chelsie Hightower, doing the Quickstep. They looked cute and a little disconnected. He looked like he was about to mess up at any minute. They scored a total of 23 points.
Next up are Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani doing the Quickstep. This dance wasn’t very quick, considering that it’s a Quickstep. Too many props, too, in my opinion. They scored a total of 17 points.
Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff danced the Jive next. They did really well, the dance was fast and fun! He’s 49 and he’s dancing like he’s 20. You go, Karate Kid! They scored a total of 21 points.
Hines Ward and Kym Johnson danced the Quickstep next. They did decent, but not spectacular. I can see him doing better in a ballroom styled dance, instead of something that was supposed to be so fast. They scored a total of 23 points.
Who are you rooting for???

After last night’s performances on Dancing With The Stars, we’re curious as to whether or not Bristol Palin will finally go home. She was truly awful last night and doesn’t deserve to go to the semi-finals.
