In case you hadn’t heard, Lindsay Lohan was selected to portray Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie “Liz And Dick”. We’ve heard reports that Lindsay was causing some trouble over the casting decisions about who would star opposite her in the movie. She wanted approval over who should be cast as Richard Burton in the flick.

Since we first heard of Lindsay’s search for Dick, there were numerous sources that said Lindsay was not happy with any of the casting director’s choices for the role. It was so bad that she even wanted to venture off to London in search of her Dick. Now, it appears her search is over. Her Dick is “True Blood” actor Grant Bowler AKA Cooter!

The movie’s producer, Larry Thompson said, “Richard Burton was quite older than Elizabeth Taylor. This is from a visual point of view just about equal to Liz and Dick. Visually speaking it is a perfect match.”

On Thursday, Lindsay and Grant met for the first time. The producer went on to reveal, “This morning we had Lindsay and Grant come into a room at Lifetime and the chemistry exploded. It was just Fourth of July firecrackers going off in the room. We knew from the chemistry that Liz and Dick live again.”

We’re still flabbergasted that the good folks behind the Elizabeth Taylor movie “Liz And Dick” have decided that Lindsay Lohan was the best choice for her portrayal. It’s a good thing that this is on the small screen and not some huge production. So I guess they were feeling that Lindsay would bring some sort of publicity to the Lifetime movie. As they say in Hollywood, any publicity is good publicity, so I digress.

Apparently Queen Lindsay isn’t happy with the casting choices for her co-star who is set to play Richard Burton in the flick. She isn’t a fan of any of the actors who have auditioned for the role of Dick in the movie, so she wants to hand select him. Of course she does, this is Lindsay Lohan we’re talking about here.

Reportedly, casting for the role of Richard has come down to being between Matthew Settle, Sean Maguire and Craig Robert Young. A source revealed, “Lindsay declared that none of the actors were the right fit and that she wanted to go to London to look for a possible Burton actor there.”

The source went on to say, “Lindsay is being an absolute nightmare about who should play Burton. She believes Matthew Settle is too old to play the role, and she wants a major A-list star to be her co-star. However, her salary for the role took up a major portion of the budget, and the Burton gig will likely pay $200k, max. The producers don’t need to get Lindsay’s approval of who will play Richard Burton, but they want to keep her happy.”

The source added, “They are already in pre-production and it’s very hard to conduct any rehearsals without the pivotal role of Richard Burton. There is also cause for concern because Lindsay partied all night last week with Paris Hilton, Barron Hilton and Brandon Davis. All three, including Lindsay, have been arrested for DUI and/or drug charges previously. Lindsay shouldn’t be out partying all night long, no good can come of that.”

Will Lindsay get her way, per usual? “Hell no!” says the source. “There just isn’t any money in the budget, or time, to do so. The producers will try to land someone that Lindsay likes, but, if push comes to shove, they will just cast the role without her approval.”

In case you hadn’t heard by now, Lindsay Lohan has been given the greenlight to star in the Lifetime movie “Liz And Dick”. She’s set to portray Elizabeth Taylor in the flick and the Lifetime president says that the two are so alike that it’s “undeniable”. Is it really?

The network’s president Nancy Dubuc said, “I think the parallels between Liz Taylor’s story and Lindsay’s story are undeniable. The creation of the paparazzi really came from the beginnings of the relationship with Liz Taylor and Richard Burton and clearly Lindsay has had to endure her own challenges when it comes to that and the attentions that she garners. I think that this role will be a really interesting journey for her and hopefully one that the audience will embrace wholeheartedly.”

She also spoke about taking out extra insurance to support Lindsay after her legal troubles. She added, “There are logistics around her situation that we had to manage, but we did it in the spirit of trust and a partnership and we did it hand-in-hand. We stood by her every step of the way, and we will all the way to air.”

The flick’s producer Larry Thompson said, “Lindsay Lohan may be the most insured actress that ever walked on a soundstage for this movie. We’ve tried to anticipate a lot of things – we hope none of them happen.”

We’re not sure who thought it was a good idea to have Lindsay Lohan portray Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime’s new movie, “Liz And Dick”, but we’re not buying it. It’s not a huge movie, there will be no red carpet rolled out and likely no big fuss will be made over Lindsay. She wants a comeback for her career and this is how she’s going about it?

We still believe that the casting people over at Lifetime could have put some effort into finding someone that resembles Liz to play her in the movie. Don’t you agree? Or do you believe that Lindsay possesses the acting chops to pull this off?

Elizabeth’s family doesn’t seem to care for the idea of a former rehabbed child star playing Liz in any movie. They are said to be furious over the casting decision — and we can’t really blame them for that, can we? Sure, Liz had her problems, but she was a legendary actress, not some self-entitled former (?) drug addict that falls out of nightclubs, steals jewelry and makes an idiot out of herself on a regular basis.

A family friend is speaking out about the casting decision, saying that Elizabeth’s family is none too pleased about Lindsay taking on the role — even if it is for some low budget Lifetime film. The pal said, “Liz’s sons, Michael and Chris Wilding, feel there are many other actresses who are far more qualified to play their famous mother. They think gorgeous and talented stars such as Cate Blanchett or Emily Blunt should have been short-listed for the role. Liz’s children feel their mom deserved better!”

The friend added, “Liz was not only a great movie star, but a great philanthropist, and it’s a slap in the face to her memory to have this errant party girl play her. She’d be screaming bloody murder over this whole fiasco!”

Lindsay Lohan and celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson dated back in 2009, but broke things off after two years together. Now, there are rumors popping up that the duo have rekindled their flame.

Shortly after their 2009 breakup, Lindsay said, “I never really thought about women before. It kind of just happened with Samantha. It surprised me. She’s the only woman I’ve been attracted to. We love each other. We might reconcile the relationship, maybe. I don’t know. We’re still in touch. She has always been one of my best friends.”

Now, it appears that they have reconciled. After spending time together earlier this week at Le Baron in New York, rumors have circulated that they’re back on. A source revealed, “Lindsay and Sam were whispering and laughing, and they left the club holding hands. They didn’t care who saw them, and they definitely seem to be back on. It was just like the old days – they couldn’t get enough of each other!”

Rehabbed actress Lindsay Lohan needs to get her stuff together – and fast. Earlier today, LiLo was set to hop a plane at LAX at 1PM to Washington DC for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Apparently, she was supposed to be traveling with her attorney Shawn Holley. But unfortunately for Lindsay, Shawn made the flight — but Lindsay did not. Shawn was aboard the flight with Hollywood hunk George Clooney. I wonder if they were seated close to one another?

Why did Lindsay miss her earlier flight to our nation’s capital? Well, we’ve heard numerous reports that she was out late last night, partying it up. Who knew?!?

As far as Lindsay’s co-star for the movie? She has an idea of who she wants to play the role of Dick, but she doesn’t want to jinx it. When someone suggested that Gerard Butler would be perfect for the role, Lindsay replied, “I don’t know if he would do that, but he actually does remind me of Richard a lot.”

Interesting. I don’t think Gerard would lower himself from doing real movies that are in theaters to doing something for the Lifetime Channel. That’s one step above doing commercials, isn’t it? He would probably make a good Richard because he’s talented in his field, but he would just end up making Lindsay look stupid. What do you think?

Rosie O’Donnell began a war of words when she heard that Lindsay Lohan had finally signed on to play the late Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie Liz and Dick.

During her appearance on Today, Rosie said, “The last thing she did good, she was 16. I don’t think she’s right for the role and I don’t think she’s capable at this point to portray that character.”

Lindsay said in response, “It’s funny that someone you don’t know at all can say something so intrusive and so knowing. I did one of my first interviews with her when I was little. I was so excited.”

Dina Lohan chimed in, “I just wanted to know if Rosie O’Donnell played the Parent Trap for her children and she said Lindsay hasn’t done any movies, you know, since she’s 16, but that’s absolutely not factual. I mean I just want to get the facts straight.”

Michael Lohan is taking to his daughter’s defense, calling O’Donnell a “washed up failure at life” who “only stayed famous because she adopted a bunch of kids.”

The elder Lohan said, “Who the hell is Rosie O’Donnell to judge anyone, especially Lindsay, who has far more talent than Rosie ever had? Lindsay’s talent isn’t limited to being a comedian or getting notoriety for adopting and raising a bunch of kids. Sure she has her pitfalls, but she is 25 and how old is Rosie?”

Lohan added, “Two failed talk shows, a failed marriage, etc. He/she who is without sin. May they cast the first stone.”

If you’re like us, then you think that Lindsay Lohan couldn’t hold a candle to the acting legend that was Elizabeth Taylor. She’s an icon and you would think that the Lifetime Channel would have found someone more appropriate for the role. Perhaps someone less troubled?

Lindsay Lohan is featured in the latest issue of OK! magazine, asking the question of whether or not she could ever look like Elizabeth Taylor. In short, we’ve got their answer: NO. NO NO NO. Sorry Lindsay, but you will never hold a candle to Liz. So we’re going to take that as a rhetorical question.

Over the weekend, a woman filed a police report with the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department claiming that Lindsay Lohan attacked her. She said that Lindsay didn’t like the fact that she was talking with Lindsay’s male friend.

It all went down on Thursday, according to the woman who is alleging battery against Lindsay. She claims that Lindsay disliked that she was having a conversation with her guy friend so Lindsay began pushing and shoving her.

Lindsay’s publicist, Steve Hoenig, has issued a statement denying the reports of an altercation. He said in a statement, “Lindsay was absolutely not involved in any sort of altercation whatsoever. This is clearly another case of someone looking for money and 15 minutes of fame.”

Of course he’s going to say that she had nothing to do with it. Isn’t that the “go-to” response for every celebrity who has been in trouble?

Rehabbed actress Lindsay Lohan was said to have sold off a truck load of her designer clothes in an attempt to raise some cash. It’s not for charity either, unless you count her bank account as such. I guess “modeling” for Playboy doesn’t really pay as well as we first thought, eh?

Reportedly, Lindsay is so strapped for cash following her rehab stays that she has decided to part with some items, including designer clothes and accessories.

According to Now magazine, “Lindsay’s got zero income and a shed-load of bills. She’s so desperate for cash she took a truck load of designer clothes, shoes and bags to Los Angeles’ Crossroads Trading Company, who agreed to a price of $13,886 for the lot. She needed a huge truck to transport it all to the company’s head office.”

Lindsay is hoping that she will ensure her comeback with her new role as Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie Liz And Dick. She has even recently commented that she will have no time for dating as she gets her career back on track.”

A source said, “Lindsay wants to devote all her spare time to reading the script and getting Liz’s persona down pat rather than focus on a new relationship.”

Lindsay really wants to work on getting everything in her life back in order. She previously said, “People can say things all they want, but I think I still need to go through the process of proving myself. I could see where it could be scary for people to invest in me. And I don’t want people to have that reason to be scared anymore.”

She has already landed the headline role in the Lifetime movie Liz & Dick and has hosted a recent episode of Saturday Night Live. Now, the rehabbed actress is said to be in talks for a role on Glee — as a judge!

It seems weird that Lindsay would even consider doing an episode of Glee, considering how the show allowed Gwyneth Paltrow to take a stab at her back in November of 2010. Gwyneth played a substitute teacher, trying to use Lindsay’s rehab stays as a common bond with her students. Lindsay didn’t take too kindly to the jab and said that she was upset over it.

Reportedly, Lindsay will play a celebrity judge during her episode, along with Kathy Griffin and Josh Groban. Also becoming part of the guest cast are Matt Bomer and Whoopi Goldberg, though their particular episodes and arcs are yet to be announced.

Lindsay Lohan has had her share of troubles, but since Judge Stephanie Sautner has given her strict guidelines on completing her probation, she has given it her best go. Lindsay recently went out to say hello to a friend and was said to have hit a manager of a club. Since he basically said that he didn’t know who she is, he didn’t want to do anything about it.

Since learning who she is, the manager has gone to the emergency room and has planned to file charges against Lindsay. So now that she only has two weeks left in her probation, Lindsay is putting herself on house arrest!

Her rep said, “I can tell you she is very focused on completing her community service.”

So there you have it! Lindsay isn’t exactly on “lockdown”, but she is trying to lay low so that she can just get on with her life. Finally a good decision!

Lindsay Lohan’s spot on the Today show is set to air tomorrow morning, and the network has released some tidbits about her appearance from the show. She talks to host Matt Lauer about being sober and wanting to prove herself in the acting world.

She said that she is “clean and sober” and wants “to continue to move forward and in the right direction.”

She is gearing up for her hosting duties on this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, but said, “I still need to go through the process of proving myself.”

Lindsay is almost where she wants to be with her DUI court case and was asked by Matt if she was in denial when they spoke last. To that, she responded, “Definitely. And I think it was – it’s a scary thing to have to kind of express to people. I wasn’t as comfortable with myself then. I think it was a fear factor that I had about what was really going on. And, you know, I had to get that wake up call.”

She also said that she is avoiding the night life, saying, “That’s not my thing anymore. I went out, actually, a few months ago with a friend. And I was so uncomfortable. Not because I felt tempted, just because it was just the same thing that it always was before. And it just wasn’t fun for me. I’ve become more of a homebody. And I like that.”

Matt then asked, “Do you think people have gotten back, or can get back to the point where they trust you? In other words, professional people? You know, if they say to you, ‘Come host ‘Saturday Night Live’, that’s a big commitment. And do you think the producers and directors of movies and television projects are going to get back to the part where they can go, ‘You know what? Yeah, we can count on Lindsay. We can bank on her?’”

In response, she said, “I think that’s gonna take – I think that takes time. And I think that it’s actions. Because people can say things all they want, but I think I still need to go through the process of proving myself, you know, with ‘SNL’, being on time, being, you know, keeping my — can’t say the word — but stuff together.”

With regard to her role in the new Elizabeth Taylor biopic, she revealed, “We’re in the middle of casting and figuring – we start production soon. I’ve been doing tons of research. But I’ve always kind of researched her. She’s always been a fascinating woman to me. So I’m really honored. And I will not let anyone down, especially myself.”

She added, “I don’t want people to have that reason to be scared anymore. So being able to have this opportunity with ‘SNL’ and the film, I’m gonna do what I’m supposed to do, and enjoy doing it, and do it as best I can.”

It’s good to see that she’s seemingly on the right track.

The same night that Lindsay Lohan appeared in court for her progress hearing, she was out partying hanging out.

On Wednesday, the rehabbed actress went in front of Judge Stephanie Sautner, who advised her that she is in the home stretch of her probation. She received a rave review and was told that she only has a few more requirements to fulfill along with one final court appearance before being freed from probation. This was all stemming from her 2007 DUI bust.

That night, she was seen attending the Domingo Zapata art show at Mr. C’s Hotel in Beverly Hills. She kind of looks ridiculous, doesn’t she? Earlier this month, she attended an amFAR event, where she was seen looking pretty haggard. Is it the wig? Is it the lack of contrasting colors between her wig/hair and that dress? Or is it something else?

During Wednesday night’s adventure, she looked like a completely different person. I can’t seem to put my finger on it. It’s the duck lips, right? How about that eye makeup? She sort of looks like she would be related to Sophie Monk — like Sophie’s older sister, perhaps?

Lindsay Lohan is in the home stretch after receiving a glowing review from Judge Stephanie Sautner at her court appearance yesterday.

She was arrested for DUI in 2007, but soon all of her legal troubles will be behind her. She is just one hearing away from securing her freedom completely. Then, she will be able to proceed with trying to make her comeback in the entertainment industry.

Lindsay was hired on to portray Elizabeth Taylor in the new Lifetime biopic Liz And Dick. The executives in charge of the flick say that they will allow Lindsay to go forth with the role if she stays on the right path with her court appearances.

Judge Sautner told her, “Miss Lohan, you’re in the home stretch. Your probation officer is pleased. You seem to be getting your life back on track, and that’s what we all hoped for.”

Before she is due back in court on March 29th, she has to complete 15 more hours of community service at the morgue along with attending five more therapy sessions.

The judge added, “After March 29, all you have to do is obey all laws, stay out of trouble and move on with your life.”

It looks like Lindsay Lohan is really trying this time to get her life together. She has already scored hosting duty for Saturday Night Live on March 3rd and now we’ve learned that she has also landed the part of Elizabeth Taylor in her Lifetime biopic, Liz And Dick.

A source has confirmed the reports, saying that there is one caveat to her role in the movie: She has to stay right with the courts. The spy revealed that if Lindsay continues to stick to the judge’s orders, she will definitely be playing the part in the upcoming movie.

On Saturday night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, NBC announced in an on-air promo that Lindsay Lohan would be taking on the hosting duties. Her spot is set for March 3, 2012, as she presumably tries to make a comeback after all of her troubles.

Does that mean Lindsay is finally getting her life back on track? It’s about time!

After the promo aired, Lindsay took to her official Twitter page to say, “SNL! I love @NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Lindsay has already hosted the show three times previously. She hosted on May 1, 2004, May 21, 2005 and April 15, 2006 — so this will mark her fourth hosting appearance. She will be joined by musical guest, Jack White.

NBC’s official Twitter account confirmed the news. They tweeted, “That’s right: March 3rd, @lindsaylohan with musical guest Jack White!! See you then!”

According to TMZ, Lindsay was dying to do the show again so that she can work on kickstarting her comeback. Reportedly, she contacted the show’s executive producer, Lorne Michaels, directly to work something out with him.

Spies close to Lindsay say that she has always felt that he was like a father-figure to her over the years. In addition, she has always enjoyed doing the show, but she was merely waiting for the right time to make her return. It’s been six years since she last hosted! Given all of the reports that suggested Lindsay Lohan’s cover shoot for Playboy magazine has gone over so well, it appears that she might just do another one. For the money, perhaps? Has she burned through the cash that she made from the first one?

Some have said that Lindsay’s issue didn’t go over so well, but others stated that her issue of the men’s magazine was flying off of the shelves. She channeled Marilyn Monroe for the photos, leaving little to the imagination.

After the photos leaked online, Playboy was forced with no other choice but to release her issue earlier than planned. When the issue was made public, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner tweeted, “The Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales records.”

In an even more recent interview, he said, “It was huge.”

Given all of that success, we are hearing that it is a very distinct possibility that Lindsay will go naked for the magazine once more. Hef said that she will “quite possibly” do another shoot. Lindsay’s rep stated that they have no plans to do so — for now.
