Who was eliminated on Dancing With The Stars 4/26/11

Last night’s Dancing With The Stars had a bit of a mishap when Karina Smirnoff hit the floor in the middle of her dance with Ralph Macchio.

Now, Len asked Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel to re-do their stripper happy Samba from last night. Oh God, someone please vote this broad off already. She’s seriously awful.

American Idol castoff Pia Toscano performed I’ll Stand By You and she sounded great! I haven’t been keeping tabs on Idol at all, but I have to wonder how she was voted off at all???

SAFE:

Romeo & Chelsie Hightower
Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas
Hines Ward & Kym Johnson
Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Kendra Wilkinson & Louis Van Amstel

So who was eliminated out of Chris Jericho & Cheryl Burke and Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff????

CHRIS JERICHO & CHERYL BURKE!

Chelsea Kane tweets Maksim Chmerkovskiy shirtless photo

Further rushing forth our efforts to make a Maksim Chmerkovskiy Playgirl photo shoot happen, Dancing With The Stars contestant Chelsea Kane tweeted the above photo of the pro dancer, shirtless.

She tweeted, “God bless America! @ CBS Television City” along with the picture of Maks showing off his look for America night on DWTS.

In response, he re-tweeted the photo, adding, “That was privately for you, Kane! LOL”.

Does this mean that Chelsea and Maks are an item? Will we get a Playgirl shoot after all? These questions and more will be answered in the next episode! (Of what, we don’t know…) Hey Maks, can we get an answer???

On last week’s episode of Dancing With The Stars, we said goodbye to Sugar Ray Leonard! So who’s next on the chopping block??? It’s anyone’s guess! (They kept Kendra, remember that.)

Dancing first are Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff, doing the Samba. The dance was awkward, but well done. Len said he needed to work on rhythm and Bruno agreed and said, “Give me sex, man.” Carrie Ann said the performance was entertaining. Score: 22 (continue reading…)

Maksim Chmerkovskiy to pose nude for Playgirl magazine?

Maksim Chmerkovskiy to pose nude for Playgirl magazine?

Dancing With The Stars pro dancer Karina Smirnoff might not have a problem shedding the clothes for an upcoming issue of Playboy, but will Maksim Chmerkovskiy be joining her?

Reportedly, Karina was keeping quiet about her photo shoot while backstage at DWTS. She said, “I don’t think it’s fair to this experience to talk about it. I’m enjoying it way too much to take attention away [from it].”

An insider says Maks might want to jump on the nude bandwagon and pose for Playgirl magazine. The snitch said, “I’m sure Maks would jump at the chance to appear in Playgirl, but I doubt Derek or Mark would ever do it. However, I doubt the show would ever sign off on that. Even if Maks has plenty to show off!”

Double standards!

Is Kirstie Alley a victim of a conspiracy on Dancing With The Stars?

by on Apr.12, 2011, under articles

Kirstie Alley performed her Waltz on last night’s Dancing With The Stars with dancing pro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, but had trouble with her shoe coming undone mid-dance. Could she be the victim of a conspiracy?

In a new interview, she said, “I think it’s a conspiracy1 I think the other girls cut my shoe!”

Of the dropped shoe, she said, “I don’t know if I handled it well or not well! When your shoe comes off, you either put it back on or you take it off, one or the other.”

She also revealed that she’s tired of being the one who’s so accident prone on the show. She said, “I don’t want to be that girl!”

Still, she definitely wants to win. She added, “I want to win. And I want to win by being the best! I got an 8 — but I can’t help but think if I did the dance correctly, we could have gotten some 9s. I really do want to be a good dancer and I’m working on it.”

Kirstie tweeted the news of her new ink last night, saying, “No longer broken… In body or spirit”.

You go girl!

Afterward, she tweeted this message, “Just FYI… I was planning on getting a tattoo for awhile. Your votes sealed it. Thanks for al the great ideas….xxoxo”

You can tell that Maks was in some serious pain:

They scored 21 points for the dance. Afterward, Kirstie tweeted this message, “@MaksimC .,, I salute u… U r a gladiator …. A champion… I’m honored to be your partner.”

Dancing With The Stars week two recap 3/28/10

Dancing With The Stars is back for week two and they all have another chance to make good scores due to the fact that no one was eliminated last week!

Dancing first were Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya, doing the Jive. Len commented that Sugar Ray was in jeopardy already. Bruno said that it was too soft around the edges. They scored 17 points.

Dancing next were Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel, doing the Quickstep. Len commented that her posture was a bit hit and miss. Overall, there was improvement over last week. They scored a total of 19 points.

Up next on the dance floor were Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas, dancing the Jive. It was an entertaining dance, yet the judges said that there wasn’t much of a Jive to it. Carrie Ann said that she didn’t care for the choreography. They scored a total of 18 points.

Dancing the Quickstep are Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke. His dancing seemed a bit stiff, but overall, it looked like he was having fun. At points, it seemed a bit effortless for Chris, which is a bonus. They scored a total of 23 points.

Up next are Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin, doing the Jive. She did a pretty good performance. Len said, “Long legs, bad technique”, but she “did it beautifully.” They scored a total of 18 points.

Dancing next are Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, doing the Quickstep. They did a good job, I loved their dance, even though it wasn’t my favorite song choice…Ha. She ended the dance with a big kiss for Maks! They scored a total of 20 points.

Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer are up next, doing the Jive. He was truly awful and slow and stiff — and that’s being kind. Obviously, this guy needs to stick to radio. They scored a total of 17 points.

Dancing next are Romeo and Chelsie Hightower, doing the Quickstep. They looked cute and a little disconnected. He looked like he was about to mess up at any minute. They scored a total of 23 points.

Next up are Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani doing the Quickstep. This dance wasn’t very quick, considering that it’s a Quickstep. Too many props, too, in my opinion. They scored a total of 17 points.

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff danced the Jive next. They did really well, the dance was fast and fun! He’s 49 and he’s dancing like he’s 20. You go, Karate Kid! They scored a total of 21 points.

Hines Ward and Kym Johnson danced the Quickstep next. They did decent, but not spectacular. I can see him doing better in a ballroom styled dance, instead of something that was supposed to be so fast. They scored a total of 23 points.

Kirstie Alley was worried she’d leave Dancing With The Stars first

Kirstie Alley was worried she'd leave Dancing With The Stars first

Kirstie Alley was really worried that she would be the first celebrity eliminated from the cast of Dancing With The Stars! But not after Monday night’s performance! She did so well!

A source said, “Kirstie’s only wish was that she wouldn’t be the first star sent home from the show. She has been rehearsing for the past six weeks with her partner Maks, in almost total seclusion. No contestants really had any idea what was going on in the other rehearsal rooms. None of them really knew how good or bad their competition would be. Everyone doubted themselves a little, and no one wanted to be remembered as the David Hasselhoff of their season.”

The snitch went on to say, “You can’t just rely on your fame to get you far in this competition. Yes, having an active fan base does help, but at the end of the day even the most passionate fans stop voting if your dancing doesn’t improve. David is a worldwide phenomenon, having starred in some of the biggest TV hits of all time. If he can get voted off the first week, so can anyone.”

Dancing With The Stars marks its twelfth season tonight and we’ve got the lowdown on the dances, the dancers and all of the scores from tonight’s show!

Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas danced the Foxtrot for the first dance of the night. They were cute for their very first dance together. The judges liked the dance, as well. They scored a total of 21 points.

Up next were Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani doing the Cha Cha. The dance was slow and somewhat disconnected. It seemed like she wasn’t into it. The judges told her that she needed to bring her personality into the dance more. They scored 14 points.

Dancing next were Hines Ward and Kym Johnson doing the Cha Cha. Hines was confident and looked like he was having a blast. They scored a total of 21 points. (continue reading…)

Dancing With The Stars exec explains Bristol Palin controversy

by on Nov.19, 2010, under articles

If you wondering why Bristol Palin is still a contender on DWTS? Well, you’re not alone there. Half of the planet said, “WHAT?!??” when they announced that she was heading to the finals over Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Dancing With The Stars producer Conrad Green said, “She deserves it. And a significant portion of our viewing audience believes that, too. There’s nothing in the voting system that looks at all strange.”

So he’s saying that it’s not rigged? I beg to differ.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy disses Bristol Palin on Dancing With The Stars

by on Nov.19, 2010, under articles

And the drama between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Bristol Palin continues!

Maks called in to Entertainment Weekly to discuss Dancing With The Stars. In the beginning of the interview, Maks gives props to Kyle Massey, saying that he always thought Kyle would make it to the finals. He said that he was looking forward to having a Brandy, Jennifer and Kyle finals, but “what can I do?”

He was asked if he was swearing on the inside, to which he replied, “Was I swearing? No. I was laughing on the inside. It’s funny to me. Nothing I could possibly say would make me seem like a sore loser.”

Check out the audio, below, and listen to Maks call BS on Bristol’s advancement to the finals:

Ha! He just got real!!! I love it.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy responds to Bristol Palin comments

by on Nov.18, 2010, under articles

In an effort to possibly gain more votes on Dancing With The Stars for the sympathy factor, Bristol Palin released a quote recently stating that Maksim Chmerkovskiy said that he doesn’t like her.

This had me wondering how long it was going to be before Maks released a statement about Bristol and her comments. Earlier on Wednesday, the professional dancer said that he was disappointed.

He said, “I felt really disappointed with Bristol. On Monday night, I found out that she went on record saying that I said something about her along the lines of, ‘I don’t like her because she’s still here and she’s not a good enough dancer.’ Every time I’ve opened my mouth about Bristol, I’ve been nothing but supportive…”

He went on to say, “For her to come out on Monday night and totally smear my name the way she did, that’s just completely uncalled for. I have no idea where she got it from, but wherever she got it from, shame on her and shame on whoever told her that.”

He went on to reveal that the voting system is jacked up. He said, “I definitely think that the system is flawed. I think there are a lot of problems with it. I have a lot of friends in the Philadelphia area who couldn’t call at all. People here, in front of me, picked up the phone, dialed one time and it said, ‘Thank you for voting. You are over your limit….’ I think it’s just a flawed system.”

There’s one person he’s not rooting for to win the mirrorball trophy! At this point, he could care less. He said, “I really don’t care.”

Having said that, out of the three remaining contestants, he does think Kyle Massey would be a good winner.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy doesn’t like Bristol Palin?

by on Nov.16, 2010, under articles

Is Bristol Palin going on the offensive after learning that professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy doesn’t like her? Interesting…

Seeing that the scores from last night’s Dancing With The Stars were pretty neck and neck and knowing that Bristol isn’t that great of a dancer, we’re left wondering how she’s lasted on the show so long. So, what makes me even more curious is the fact that, now that we’re heading into the finals next week, Bristol is unleashing upon Maks, claiming that he doesn’t like her. Is this a farce to gain the sympathy of the public for more votes? Or does he genuinely dislike her???

In Touch Weekly reports:

Some viewers are criticizing Bristol Palin’s longevity on this season’s Dancing With the Stars, and according to the Alaskan beauty, certain fellow dancers are giving her the cold shoulder, as well! “Maks (Chmerkovskiy) does not like me. He thinks I don’t deserve to be here because I’m not the best dancer,” Bristol tells In Touch about contestant Brandy’s professional partner. The reality star, who remains amongst the final four pairs on the ABC hit dancing competition series, thinks she even has a chance to win the mirror ball trophy. “The show is all about taking someone who has never performed, never danced and turning them into a dancer,” she explains. “I guarantee I am the most improved. I really do work my butt off!”

They should just eliminate her already. I’m sick of whatever movement they’ve started to keep her on the show. She really is a terrible dancer and should be made to leave. Knowing the show, however, they’re probably going to make Kyle Massey leave tonight, which would just be ludicrous.

The jig is up, Bristol. You suck…it’s official.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Carrie Ann Inaba hug it out

by on Nov.10, 2010, under articles

Apparently a lot of goodies are happening behind the scenes of Dancing With The Stars. Who knew?!??

On Monday night’s show, some drama was started between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Carrie Ann Inaba, after Maks and Brandy performed their Cha Cha Cha. Carrie Ann ripped on Maks for starting the dance so late and Maks blew her off, saying, “Relax. Don’t worry about it.”

Carrie Ann looks like she’s about ready to pull her hair out at about 3:31. Check out the video:

Since, we’ve learned that the two of them hugged it out and made nice. Hollywood Life reports:

Carrie Ann Inaba was visibly annoyed and rolled her eyes after watching the video package that showed Maksim being overly dramatic and calling out the judges. She was mad at him, but after the show completed, they both embraced and hugged for a good two minutes as Carrie Ann spoke calmly in his ear. It was nice to witness them both reconcile their differences.

Here’s the short version of the behind-the-scenes action:

  • A guy warmed up the audience and had all of the celebrities’ families dancing, except for Bristol Palin’s clan.
  • Kyle Massey was a beacon of sunshine and even watched the show from within the crowd.
  • Kurt Warner knew the jig was up and was sad throughout the night. The judges were sad to see him go and kept calling him a “class act”.
  • John Legend pre-taped his performances and wasn’t actually in the studio.
  • When Brandy was in the bottom two, her daughter started crying. Brandy saw that and almost cried herself. She kept saying, “Don’t cry” to her daughter.

Who was eliminated on Dancing With The Stars 11/9/2010?

by on Nov.09, 2010, under articles

After last night’s performances on Dancing With The Stars, we’re curious as to whether or not Bristol Palin will finally go home. She was truly awful last night and doesn’t deserve to go to the semi-finals.

Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer performed their Viennese Waltz at the judge’s request.

Safe:

Kyle and Lacey
Bristol and Mark

Jeopardy:

Kurt and Anna
Brandy and Maksim

So who got eliminated tonight??? KURT WARNER & ANNA TREBUNSKAYA!

It’s FIXED! Bristol should’ve been sent home!
