Matt Giraud Eliminated On ‘American Idol’ Tonight
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.29, 2009, under articles
It was Rat Pack Standards night on American Idol last night, with Jamie Foxx mentoring the wannabe singers.
Matt Giraud sang “My Funny Valentine” and even though he was saved by the first judges veto in American Idol history, he was given the boot.
What do you think? Was he given a raw deal or was it meant to be?
Oh yeah, Slash is mentoring next week’s show for ROCK WEEK. I may actually watch this one.
Matt Giraud Saved By The Veto On American Idol
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.16, 2009, under articles
On American Idol last night, Matt Giraud was about to get the axe, when the judges pulled together to exercise their only veto for the entire season.
I thought his performance of “Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman” was totally forgettable. His version of the song makes the baby Jesus cry.
What this means is that two contestants will be sent home on next week’s show. Let’s hope he was worth it.
Think they made a mistake? Or maybe the song choice just wasn’t right for him?
