Conrad Murray Files Docs For Release From Jail

On November 7, 2011, Conrad Murray was convicted of the manslaughter of Michael Jackson. Subsequently, he was sentenced to four years in jail.

Murray has filed the documents to request a release from jail pending his appeal. He claims that the grounds for the appeal include “improper exclusion of defense evidence and witnesses that resulted in violating the defendant’s State and constitutional rights to due process, to present a defense and to the effective assistance of counsel.”

If he gets turned loose, he wants to live with his baby’s mother, Nicole Alvarez and would agree to wear an electronic monitoring device.

He hasn’t even done that much time and he already wants to be released? That is pretty bold, considering the length of time he’s been incarcerated. What do you think? Too soon?

Paris Jackson Talks About Advice Her Father Gave Her

Paris Jackson Talks About Advice Her Father Gave Her

Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, talked to Ellen DeGeneres for a new interview, where she talks about the advice that her father gave her. The advice was simple and to the point: Always remember.

She told Ellen, “He said, ‘If I die tomorrow, always remember what I told you.’ I took his advice, and I remembered everything he told me.”

Paris is currently starring in her first movie, and said that her father shaped a lot of her life, including her decision to get into acting.

She revealed, “My dad was in the movie Moonwalker, and I knew he could sing really well but I didn’t know he could act. I saw that and I said, ‘Wow, I want to be just like him.’ We would do improv together. He would give us little scenarios. He would go, ‘Okay, in this scene you’re going to cry’, and I’d cry on the spot.”

When Paris was younger, her famous father had her face shrouded with a mask. She said, “I’m like, ‘This is stupid, why am I wearing a mask?’ But I kind of realized the older I got, like, he only tried to protect us. And he’d explain that to us, too.”

She added, “I’m treated the same. When I came to school, they didn’t know who I was. I was like, yes, I have a chance to be normal.”

Conrad Murray Glad To Have Done Documentary

Conrad Murray Glad To Have Done Documentary

Yesterday, Conrad Murray appeared in front of Judge Michael Pastor to be sentenced over the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson. The Judge seemed so infuriated with Murray over the fact that he did a documentary of the case, even before the jury reached its verdict.

He sold the rights to the documentary, reportedly, because he needed the cash. The Judge called him out for what he was, a doctor who sold his soul to the highest bidder. Murray even recorded Michael secretly, probably in hopes of using it against him, if their relationship went South.

In recording his documentary, Murray said that he doesn’t feel any guilt over Michael’s death, because he didn’t feel as if he had done anything wrong. This made the Judge upset, because Murray is obviously showing no signs of remorse in doing what he did. In the end, he got the maximum sentence of four years in the Los Angeles County Jail.

Don’t think for one second that Murray is upset over the documentary, because he’s not. In fact, he’s happy about it because he wanted the public to hear his side of the story.

TMZ reports:

Murray — who declined to testify in his trial — spoke with friends and family after the sentence. We’re told Murray said he knew he was going to get the maximum sentence, so it didn’t bother him that he became Judge Michael Pastor’s human punching bag over the things he said in the documentary — in particular, trashing Michael Jackson and not accepting any blame for his death.

And we know more about Murray’s reaction to the sentence. He’s saying he’s “surprisingly upbeat” about the sentence, telling one friend, “I’m just relieved it’s finally over,” adding, “Don’t worry, I’m fine, and I’ll be out soon.”

Douche.

Dr. Conrad Murray Sentenced In Michael Jackson Manslaughter Trial

Dr. Conrad Murray Sentenced In Michael Jackson Manslaughter Trial

Dr. Conrad Murray appeared in court today to be sentenced in the Michael Jackson manslaughter trial.

Dr. Murray’s attorney tried to object to the cameras being in the courtroom. Judge Michael Pastor overruled the defendant’s right to privacy with regard to the cameras, due to the fact that he recorded a lot of his interactions prior to the court’s ruling for his documentary.

The Prosecution presented the court with statutes that dictate that this involuntary manslaughter should be classified as a serious felony. They want Conrad Murray to serve out his sentence in State Prison.

The Prosecution asked the Judge to allow the family’s representative to speak on their behalf. Mr. Brian Panish spoke as the family’s attorney. He said that Michael’s parents couldn’t imagine living past Michael and his children will grow up without a father. They aren’t there to seek revenge, as there is nothing they can do that would bring him back.

They want the judge to impose the maximum sentence to remind physicians that they cannot bypass their Hippocratic oath to do no harm.

The Prosecution’s attorney David Walgren recounted how Dr. Murray was careless and reckless with the life of Michael Jackson. He said that Dr. Murray looked out for himself and not Michael, nor his family, even after Michael’s death. He is asking the Judge to deny probation, citing the Judge’s words regarding the “homicide” of Michael Jackson – during the reading of the verdict. He said that it’s the People’s position that the doctor should be mandated to serve four years in State Prison after he played Russian Roulette with Michael’s life nightly. (continue reading…)

Lindsay Lohan’s Attorney, Shawn Holley, Talks Dr. Conrad Murray

Lindsay Lohan's Attorney, Shawn Holley, Talks Dr. Conrad Murray

Lindsay Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Holley, apparently has an opinion on the manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray. On November 7th, Conrad Murray was found guilty of manslaughter in the Michael Jackson case and faces up to four years if convicted.

Shawn is a person who has battled the judge in defense of Lindsay, so she knows a thing or two about being the devil’s advocate. She claims that the Doctor should not get the full four year sentence for his role in the death of Michael — primarily because it wouldn’t be fair.

TMZ reports:

With Murray’s sentencing hearing set for tomorrow in L.A. — we asked the effervescent Shawn Holley if Conrad deserves the 4 year prison sentence he’s expected to receive.

Holley makes it clear she doesn’t excuse Murray’s “horrible” crime … but claims he shouldn’t get the full sentence because, “He has no record.”

Murray’s hearing is set to begin at 8:30 AM tomorrow — TMZ will be livestreaming the whole thing.

Stay tuned to see how long the Doctor gets for a sentence. The worst case scenario is that he gets house arrest and a very minimal amount of jail time when he appears in court tomorrow.

What do you think of Shawn’s comments? Does he deserve the entire four years? Sound off in the comments below and let us know your thoughts!

Conrad Murray To Pay Over 100 Million Dollars To MJ’s Kids?

by on Nov.25, 2011, under articles

Conrad Murray To Pay Over 100 Million Dollars To MJ's Kids?

The prosecutors in the case against Conrad Murray are asking the judge to make Murray pay over 100 million dollars. The documents filed by the D.A. says that the kids are “entitled to wages or profits lost due to injury incurred by the victim.”

The three kids are considered victims under the and require compensation for their loss. This includes wages, lost profits and funeral expenses. They claimed that they would make at least 100 million in the “This Is It” tour. The D.A. also says that they want the maximum sentence of four years because he was “risking Mr. Jackson’s life every night” by giving him Propofol to get him to sleep.

The D.A. claims that Doctor Murray lied to cover up his mistake of administering too much Propofol. Even if Murray gets the four years he will not go to prison….which is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. The new California law prohibits it. Instead, he will spend about two years in the Los Angeles county jail.

The questions still remain: Did he do it on purpose? Does Murray deserve the full sentence of four years? What do you think? Sound off in the comments below!

Conrad Murray Wants To Commit Suicide In Jail

Conrad Murray Wants To Commit Suicide In Jail

When Conrad Murray was handcuffed and carted off to jail for the manslaughter of Michael Jackson, it was rumored a day later that he was placed on suicide watch. Now, we’re hearing reports that Conrad is telling people in jail that he wants to kill himself!

He’s had visitors, but he’s been telling them that he no longer wants to live. Reportedly, it’s hard for him to cope with the fact that he was found guilty of actions that led to the death of Michael.

TMZ has more:

Sources tell us, Murray has told various people he wanted to kill himself, including baby mama Nicole Alvarez, his bodyguard Jeff and his lawyers. He’s told all of them he’s lost his will to live.

We’ve also learned Murray remains in the medical ward at L.A. County Jail, which is where he’s been for more than a week. Sources directly connected with Murray tell us he has no physical ailments and he is there because he’s on suicide watch.

Steve Whitmore, the spokesperson for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept., tells TMZ they will not comment on why Murray has been in the medical ward, adding, “A person’s medical or mental health status in the Los Angeles County Jail is protected under the law.”

He should feel guilty, his actions led to a family losing a father, brother, son and friend. But he should pay for his crime and not be allowed to take the easy way out.

Michael Jackson Was A Bed Wetter?

by on Nov.12, 2011, under articles

Michael Jackson Was A Bed Wetter?

According to Dr. Conrad Murray, the King Of Pop, Michael Jackson, was a bed wetter. Michael passed away as a result of Propofol intoxication from his former doctor’s lack of proper care. Yet, still he was able to make a documentary, and all of these claims about Michael — and make a profit.

Conrad Murray said that Michael regularly “peed the bed.”

He said, “The bedroom that he slept in I had to persuade him, eventually to have it cleaned. He peed the bed. It did not smell good. It was mildew, and I had to get it clean.”

He went on to say, “Who would ever believe that a man his age would still be wetting his bed?”

He revealed that he was “entrapped” with the singer, saying, “I went there to take care of a healthy man, who said he was fine, to just keep surveillance. But once I got in there I was entrapped. He had very close acquaintances, but friends he did not have. He told me, ‘I’ve found one friend, which is you.’”

Sad.
