Dr. Conrad Murray Manslaughter Trial To Resume Wednesday
by Roberta Ferguson on Oct.17, 2011, under articles

The manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray is set to resume on Wednesday. The doctor is accused of being grossly negligent in his care of the late Michael Jackson.
Witnesses have testified that Dr. Murray was negligent in the fact that he was using Propofol in a home setting without adequate monitoring of his patient. Couple that with the fact that he didn’t call 911 within two minutes, and the Prosecution has nearly made its case.
The case wasn’t in court on Friday due to scheduling conflicts and it will not resume until Wednesday. One of the witnesses for the Prosecution suffered a loss in his family.
Los Angeles Judge Michael Pastor made the announcement Monday morning at a hearing attended by the District Attorney and the cardiologist’s lawyers; the jury wasn’t present.
Today’s session of the trial was canceled after the father of the prosecution’s final witness died this weekend, but Judge Pastor ordered the delay of one more day so that Murray’s defense team can get more details from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office test results of Lorazepam levels in Jackson’s body at the time he died.
Dr. Mark Shafer, will be called to resume his testimony on Wednesday when the trial resumes. Stay tuned!

It’s the second day that the jury is hearing the testimony in the Michael Jackson manslaughter trial, in which Dr. Conrad Murray told cops how he administered Propofol to the late King of Pop. The jury heard testimony on Friday via the recording, which Dr. Murray admitted to giving Michael Lorazepam along with Versed, prior to giving him a somewhat small dose of the anesthetic.
Today, after the recorded testimony is played, we’re likely to hear from Detective Orlando Martinez.
In the recording, Dr. Murray told the police that he didn’t know the reason why Michael died, so he advised the family to have an autopsy done.
The taped evidence directly attacks the defense’s primary argument stating that Michael self-administered the lethal dose of Propofol. What do you think?
What do you think of the trial so far? Have you been following along? Do you think Dr. Conrad Murray is guilty? Sound off in the comments below!
Dr. Conrad Murray To Testify In Michael Jackson Manslaughter Trial?
by Jessica LeFevre on Oct.10, 2011, under articles

On Thursday and Friday, the court heard testimony from Dr. Conrad Murray via a taped recording he made with the police and his attorney, just a couple of days after Michael Jackson died.
On the recording, Dr. Murray explained that Michael knew what Propofol was and was receiving it prior to his care. He wanted some “milk” and told Dr. Murray that it was the only thing that he knew would work, to get him to sleep.
Dr. Murray admitted to giving Michael the drug, after having given him Lorazepam and Versed. It directly goes against the defense’s argument that Michael self-administered the lethal dose of Propofol that killed him.
A source said, “The fact that the jury has heard Dr. Murray admitting to giving the Propofol almost forces Dr. Murray to testify. His lawyers have been preparing him to take the stand. However there are significant problems. Dr. Murray can come across as very, very arrogant, and seems to be a know-it-all. This could alienate the jury very quickly. If Murray hadn’t given that interview to cops, his lawyers probably wouldn’t be seriously considering putting him on the stand.”
Do you think that Dr. Murray should take the stand in his own defense? It was his attorney who claimed that Michael administered the dose of Propofol himself that created “the perfect storm” in his body and led to his death.
What are your thoughts on the matter? The court is in recess today due to Columbus Day and will resume hearing testimony tomorrow.
Aaron Carter Denies Michael Jackson Cocaine Reports
by Jed Eckert on Jul.01, 2011, under articles

Yesterday, it was reported that Aaron Carter had claimed that Michael Jackson gave him cocaine and wine. While most of the world shook their heads with a resounding, “We’re not surprised”, Aaron is hitting back at the claims.
Aaron’s rep has joined in the fray to say that the coke claims are all just a bunch of BS. The rep said that the magazine, OK! Australia, completely fabricated the entire story. TMZ reports:
The controversy stems from an article that ran in OK! Magazine in Australia, written by international journalist Daphne Barak. In the article, Carter was quoted as saying, “Yes, [MJ] gave me wine. I mean, I could have refused, but I was 15. As for drugs? He gave me cocaine.”
But Carter’s rep tells TMZ, “Nothing was said that was reported” … and directed us toward a YouTube video of the interview with Barak … which seems to back up Aaron’s side of the story.
Case closed….Right?!??
Leaked photo of Paris Jackson

Here’s a leaked photo of a candid of Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris. She’s pretty, but I’m still having a hard time believing that she’s his biological child.
Still, he raised them well. Good job, Mike, she’s a beautiful kid.

Joe & Katherine Jackson to divorce?
by Roberta Ferguson on Aug.26, 2010, under articles

After sixty years of marriage, Joe and Katherine Jackson are filing for divorce. She’s said to have had it up to “here” with him, after he accused her of being the reason for their son, Michael’s death.
Mr. Jackson, who was accused of abusing Michael as a child, said in June: “I begged her to go over and stay with him, but she insisted he needed his privacy.”
Mrs. Jackson retaliated, saying through her spokesperson: “Joe Jackson’s statement and conduct toward Mrs. Jackson are outrageous.” Referring to the abuse of their children, the spokesperson then said: “The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget.”
According to a report by Showbiz411, a source says of the alleged divorce explained, “She’s never gotten over [Joe Jackson blaming her for Michael's death].”
It’s about time. I don’t think I would’ve stood for that kind of treatment even one day, let alone as long as she has. Good for her.
Chris Brown grasps at what’s left of his career
by Roberta Ferguson on Aug.26, 2010, under articles

Chris Brown is still coming to terms with the loss of his career. What he needs to do is go through the steps so that he can mourn his loss and move on.
He was really hoping that the whole Michael Jackson tribute would’ve brought his butt out of hot water, but that only endeared him to his die-hard fans.
Now, he’s making friends with some up and comers. Contact Music reports:
Brown and Drake put the past behind them and proved they are good pals with an evening out in the Big Apple with their mutual friends Idris Elba and Lil’ Jon on Tuesday. After dining together, the foursome headed to exclusive hotspot Greenhouse and partied with stars including Wilmer Valderrama and Marlon Wayans.
Brown later slipped into the DJ booth to play Drake’s tracks, and stunned the crowd by taking the mic and performing a live rendition of his own songs in a five-track set, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
Does he still have fans left?
BET officials declare Chris Brown’s tears real; world still spins
by Lydia Harris on Jul.02, 2010, under articles

Chris Brown let out a lot of emotion at the BET Awards when he sang Michael Jackson’s Man In The Mirror. He was crying on stage like a little girl, prompting his fans to say OMG CHRIS IS BACK!!
It was then rumored that Lloyd told Chris to cry to get back into the good graces of fans worldwide. Lloyd then denied those rumors. Then it had emerged that Chris actually used eye drops to fake cry. But, never fear, BET officials are declaring that Chris’ tears were, in fact, real.
Stephen Hill, BET’s Executive VP of Entertainment and Music Programming, said, “I think the pressure of the year and the lyrics of that song really just resonated. And, as someone who was backstage, there was nothing fake about that. I think there is a… story today about like his bodyguard gave him something to induce tears. It’s just not true. I’ve been around actors who cry and when you fake cry, you don’t get… your throat doesn’t get swollen like it does. When he was trying to sing, he couldn’t get anything out. That’s a hard thing to fake. I appreciate people wanting to create controversy, but this guy has gone though a lot this past year, let this emotion be what it is. Everybody comes to the moment where you gotta make that change.”
Did he really just use a Man In The Mirror lyric in Chris’ defense? “Gotta make that change!” All hail MJ, revivor of careers, even one year after his death.
Chris Brown’s BET tears were FAKE!
by Lydia Harris on Jul.01, 2010, under articles

During Chris Brown’s performance of Michael Jackson’s song, Man In The Mirror, at the BET Awards this year, he cried like a little girl.
Some say that Lloyd told him to cry, while others said it was genuine. Either way, it was a good move for his career, obviously.
Now, a witness is claiming that the whole crying thing was FAKED!
An insider tells UsMagazine.com the crying was fake.
Before he took the stage to belt out “Man in the Mirror,” a backstage source tells Us one of Brown’s bodyguards gave the singer, 21, tear-inducing eye drops.
Brown’s rep denies it, telling Us that Brown simply “was moved by the opportunity to pay tribute to his idol.” But the witness says Brown definitely used drops. See the top 10 shameless male crying displays.
Says the source, “He rubbed it in and he started crying.”
Oh snap! That can’t bode well for his precious career, now can it? Do you feel duped?
Chris Brown cries over saved career, not Michael Jackson
by Roberta Ferguson on Jun.28, 2010, under articles

In case you missed it, Chris Brown really busted a Michael Jackson move at the BET Awards last night. He donned his best MJ gear and danced until he got emotional and cried. Given that it was just after the one year anniversary of Michael’s death, you would think he would’ve gotten emotional about his idol. But no….
In addition to his onstage meltdown, the REAL waterworks occurred backstage, HollywoodLife.com can exclusively report. “This night saved my life, and my career. Thank you for everything,” he told pal Ray J backstage. The men hugged twice before Chris started welling up once again. Our eyewitness adds that his tears were genuine, and he seemed both relieved and elated to finally have his career back on track.
He might as well have just said, “I’ve waited an entire year to cry onstage so that people will love me again. Thanks MJ!”
Michael Jackson ambulance report leaked
by Roberta Ferguson on Mar.21, 2010, under articles
When the ambulance picked up Michael Jackson on June 25, 2009, Dr. Conrad Murray reportedly failed to mention to the EMTs that he had administered propofol to the singer.
The report, published by News of the World, states what TMZ has previously reported — that paramedics felt Jackson was dead when they got to the singer’s home but Dr. Murray, as the senior medical professional present, demanded that Jackson be taken to the hospital.
According to the report, Jackson had flatlined by the time paramedics arrived at the house, and he had no blood pressure, pulse or breath, and his pupils were dilated.
According to the report, Dr. Murray told paramedics Jackson was exhausted because he couldn’t fall asleep and he had given Jackson Lorazepam — a sedative. Omitting the fact that Dr. Murray gave Jackson Propofol is no doubt something the paramedics should have known about and will almost certainly be used by prosecutors in the trial.
I’m not sure how much news I would necessarily believe coming from News Of The World, but this would make sense, considering how shady Dr. Murray is.

Video: Chris Golightly butchers Michael Jackson song
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.23, 2010, under articles
Chris Golightly held a press conference because he’s trying to convince American Idol producers that he deserves another shot on the show.
Chris was ousted from the show over record contract issues, but says that it’s not fair. To prove (or not) that he’s got the chops to go forward in the competition, he sang Michael Jackson’s “Man In The Mirror”.
It was awful, to say the least. (continue reading…)

Paris Jackson wants to be a singer
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.15, 2010, under articles
Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, wants to follow in her dad’s footsteps and become a singer.
A source said, “Talking to Prince is like talking to Michael. He’s so smart and mature – way beyond his age. Paris, meanwhile, wants to be a singer.”
Good for her. Now that she has the ability to recognize her own talents and do what she can with them, it’s only a matter of time before she’s in the media spotlight for her own successes. I don’t know that Michael would have wanted that, considering he used to make them wear masks in public, but I would love to hear what she sounds like.

Michael Jackson’s doctor; Somebody to blame …again
by mothman on Feb.08, 2010, under articles
So apparently MJ’s doctor is getting blamed for Michael Jackson’s death, I guess I’m glad I’m not a doctor, or especially one who cares for famous people. It’s so weird to me how last year if you mentioned the name Michael Jackson, everybody would snarl “THAT PERVERT FREAK!!!” or make some completely tasteless joke about MJ and his “childish” behavior. Now not only does everybody pretend like they’ve always loved him, but they want to blame somebody else for his death, maybe as some way to make themselves feel better about saying so many bad things about him for so long.
Lets face it, the guy was a mess. I don’t know what he did with kids, nobody really does, but he certainly had a life unlike any one else. I seriously can’t imagine the doctor being to blame for his poor lifestyle choices, he was undoubtedly messed up and any drugs he was being administered were not being given to him against his will.
So now the public won’t rest until somebody goes down for the un-murder of the guy that everybody called a pervert and now everybody “always loved” Now some poor doctor is going to go to prison for 4 years because he gave a shot to a drug addict who had already butchered his own face and body for 20 plus years with plastic surgery and God knows what else.
The human race is a confusing bunch sometimes.
