We knew it was coming — and it was only a matter of time, but Maria Shriver has officially filed for divorce from her soon-to-be ex-husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Things have been on a downward spiral since the media attention focused on Arnold and his former mistress, Mildred Patricia Baena. Now, it has all come to a head.

Maria cites irreconcilable differences in the petition and is asking for spousal support. In addition, she’s asking the judge to deny Arnold support. She is asking for joint custody of their sons, Patrick and Christopher. She is also asking the judge to make Arnold pay all of the attorney’s fees.

And — drum roll — there is no prenuptial agreement, therefore, all of their earnings and property for the 25 years that they were married, will get split down the middle. We’ve heard that it’s no paltry sum, either. We’re talking hundreds of millions of dollars.

Arnold has an estimated net worth of $300 million, while Maria’s is roughly $100 million. So this may get interesting….even if it will be all behind closed doors. The settlement and property division is likely to be confidential.

Yesterday, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s former mistress, Mildred Patricia Baena, came clean in an interview with Hello! Magazine. She talked of how she was questioned by Maria Shriver about her son’s resemblance to Arnold and how they finally broke down together, crying.

Now, Mildred is blasting reports that she earned some quick dough by coming clean to the publication. She is insisting that she didn’t make anything for the interview and that the whole thing wasn’t about money.

Her attorney said, “Mildred was tired of people selling their lies to the media or claiming to speak for her when they do not. She gave the interview in order to set the record straight once and for all. All she wanted to do was put the lies and rumors to rest. And we believe that she has done that through this interview.”

Do you think she should have just kept her mouth shut about the whole thing? No one wants to really sympathize with the other woman, do they? She seduced this man in his marital bed while his wife left for work. I really don’t see her side, she set out to deceive people and that is just not right.

What are your thoughts on the situation?

In a new interview with Hello! Magazine, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s former mistress and housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena spoke out about the scandal involving her affair with him and their son.

She said that when Maria Shriver finally found out about her 13-year-old son Joseph, they both cried together. When Arnold found out that he is Joseph’s father, he said, “Cool!”

She revealed that Maria knew “something was up” after hearing “whispers” in the house about how much Joseph looked like Arnold. She said, “She would say things like, ‘I’m here if you need to talk.’ I sensed something was up. I have so much love and respect for Maria.”

Could she really have that much love and respect for someone whose husband she tried to steal away every time she left the house for work? Seriously? I really find that hard to believe. Love and respect, my butt. The only thing she was loving was the idea that she could rake in the dough for having Arnold’s baby. That’s what I think.

She went on to say that Maria finally just asked her “point blank” and she got so emotional about it that she fell to her knees in front of Maria. She said, “She was so strong. She cried with me and told me to get off my knees. We held each other and I told her it wasn’t Arnie’s fault, that it takes two.”

Did she neglect to reveal that “Arnie” really wasn’t pursuing her in the first place? Did she tell Maria that she tried to seduce Arnold whenever she left and wanted to play house with him?

Arnold Schwarzenegger and soon-to-be ex-wife, Maria Shriver announced their separation on May 8th, but he’s still supporting his mistress, Mildred Patricia Baena both financially and emotionally. Just over a week after their separation was announced, we’d learned that he fathered a child with his mistress. Now, we’ve learned that the former California Governor is also still taking care of both Mildred and their son. He should take care of his son, but the mistress?!? Maybe not so much.

A source said, “Arnold has been very supportive of Mildred throughout all of this. The scandal going public has really taken a toll on Mildred, so Arnold encourages her not to listen to what people are saying about her and just tells her to stay strong.”

The source went on to reveal, “Arnold has always taken care of the boy financially and he’s continued to do so generously amid this whole ordeal.”

As well he should. He played and now he has to pay. It’s the stand-up thing to do. Still, he should’ve been more honest about what was going on with his wife. On the other hand, she had to have known something was up. That kid looks just like him. Was she in denial???

She sought out a relationship with the former California Governor, and thus had his baby as a result. Another of his ex-employees has come forward to say that he was a good guy around her. The former nanny said that Arnold never touched her inappropriately or any other member of the staff. Of course, she wasn’t hiding in his pocket, or she would’ve known about the affair that he had with Patty…right?

The former nanny said that he “was a flirt, but he never touched me inappropriately, or anyone else that I could tell.”

This former employee worked with Arnold and his wife during the same time that Patty did. Like I’ve said, she couldn’t have watched him 24/7, but she was probably privvy to some gossip, right?

Now that the affair and illegitimate child has been made public, Maria Shriver is said to be gearing up for divorce. And of course, he wants another chance to make things right with his wife. That is impossible, unless he’s in possession of a time machine….and some morals.
