EW Grammys Poll

And the poll numbers are in! So far it’s not looking too good for Beyonce, who is dead last in the poll of who the public is most excited about seeing perform at the Grammy Awards.

At this time, the Foo Fighters are tied with Carrie Underwood at 28%. 18% percent are looking forward to seeing Aretha Franklin and 15% wanna see Rihanna.

For the record, I voted for Beyonce, cuz that broad can sing!

Rock of Love’s Lacey sings “Whore”

by on Sep.06, 2007, under articles

This is from Lacey’s band, Nocturne, it’s called “Whore”. I’m imagining that the other girls from the show are thinking this about her…hehe

I’m not too thrilled with her voice….she sounds to me like an 80′s rejected Pat Benatar.

What do you think?

Apple lowers iPhone price & hypes up the iPod Touch

by on Sep.05, 2007, under articles

Via Apple’s home page, they have lowered the cost of the iPhone to only $399! This is news, considering how many people stood in line for hours upon hours to pay much more for the product. Most of the people that I know were waiting on the price to come down prior to purchasing one.
Now, the iPhone is that much more affordable.

Also, in other Apple news, they are hyping up the new features for the iPod:

As for the iPod Touch, Apple watchers had speculated for days that Apple would unveil an iPod similar to its new mobile phone. Though slimmer than the iPhone, the iPod Touch features a similar multitouch interface, built-in Wi-Fi and the Safari Internet browser.

The iPod touch sounds cool. What I’ve always liked about my cell phone is the ability to purchase songs on the fly. This feature in an Ipod should’ve went hand in hand from the beginning.

Here is a picture of the new Touch, by Apple:

Say wha? Starbucks’ music label, eh?

by on Mar.14, 2007, under articles

I guess they’re trying to get you when you go in for that morning latte…or, that afternoon frappuccino. Starbucks is launching their own music label, Hear Music.

According to CBC News, Starbucks is basically trying to infuse themselves into our musical selections and tastes:

Since buying California-based music retailer Hear Music in 1999, Starbucks has been making increasingly greater inroads into entertainment distribution.

The coffee chain had its biggest success with the non-exclusive sale of the Grammy-winning Charles album in 2004. Starbucks ultimately accounted for approximately a quarter of the album’s four million copies sold.

Are there any aspects that Starbucks won’t tread onto? Remember when they did that Yahoo Personals thing and speed dating over coffee?

What’s next? Starbucks baby blankets for nights when you’re kept up with your newborn and you’re trying to stay awake?
