Neil Patrick Harris says that he feels lucky to have his twins, Gideon and Harper. He co-parents his children with his long-time partner, David Burtka and says that he feels really blessed to have them because they will be able to learn how to share and will always have someone else to play with.

He said, “I love watching them learn to understand language. And watching them interact with each other is fantastic. We’re lucky that we have two because they always have a playmate and they get to learn complicated concepts like sharing and cooperation.”

He went on to say, “They get to learn those things a little earlier because they’re with each other all the time. Watching their minds tick is fun.”

He also said that he’s able to juggle all of his work and fatherhood commitments and is able to pick and choose the roles that he takes. He said, “I have an unbelievable assistant who handles all of my scheduling! It’s like a Tetris game. I’ve been doing this for a while and sometimes you have spells of busyness and other times you’re clamoring for work. It’s nice to not be put out by being so busy, but to try to embrace it and make smart choices. I guess I’m in a nice position that way. I get to choose things that interest me as opposed to trying to get any job that will have me, which for a vast majority of actors is the case.”

Neil Patrick Harris is said to be looking forward to getting married to his long-time boyfriend David Burtka! Let’s hope this is true, because they are such an adorable couple…Aren’t they?

Reportedly, the How I Met Your Mother actor is looking forward to being able to call David his “husband”. Aww…how sweet! And if this is true, we can’t wait to see photos of their wedding!

For the past few years, Neil and David have been engaged, but over the past year, Neil said that he didn’t have plans to walk down the aisle anytime soon. They can get married in New York, but we’re sure that he didn’t want to tie the knot just because he could.

In a new interview with Out magazine, Neil commented on labels for his partner, David. Will they finally make it official?

He said, “I’m not the biggest fan of the word ‘partner’. It means that we run a business together or we’re cowboys. ‘Boyfriend’ seems fleeting, like maybe we met two weeks ago. I’ve been saying ‘better half’ for as long as I’ve been able to. I think it’s a little self-deprecating and clearly defines that we’re in a relationship, but it would be nice to say ‘my husband’.”

The happy couple are parents to twins Harper and Gideon, who were born in 2010 via a surrogate mother.

Neil Patrick Harris is loving life and his beautiful family with partner David Burtka!

The happy couple welcomed twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace into their lives last October, and most recently, they took the babies for a cute little boat ride (more on that here). But that’s not the only reason NPH is a happy camper, he’s living it up — and loving every minute!

In a recent interview with Total Film, he said, “I’m one of the luckiest people around, these days. Not only do I get to act in a TV show that I love, as a hilarious character, but I now get to dabble in big movies; I have a wicked fun life and a family now. I do theater when I can. I guess my portfolio has diversified recently, and in great ways. I’m busy, but I certainly can’t complain.”

He and his family are so freakin’ cute! Don’t you just wanna pinch those babies’ cheeks? And don’t you just love how down to Earth this guy is? He’s got a cute movie out, a hit TV show and a lovely family, what more can you ask for?

This may just be one of Oprah Winfrey’s better ideas. According to reports, the talk show titan is thinking about giving Neil Patrick Harris his own show!

We’ll surely watch! But we have to ask….can he do it as Barney Stinson? That would be hilarious!

The National Enquirer reports that Neil is in talks to join Oprah’s OWN network as the host of a talk show. Reportedly, he pitched the idea to Oprah and the response was good. A source said, “After their initial conversation, Oprah was intrigued enough to set up two followup brainstorming meetings on Skype with Neil. Oprah is mentoring Neil while also trying to bolster her own brand.”

NICE!

The source added, “Oprah realized Neil’s mass appeal to TV audiences, as well as his unique perspective as a gay parent juggling home life and a high profile career in Hollywood. Oprah needs a shot of adrenaline in the OWN network and a hot daytime talk show could be just the ticket.”

Will you watch? I know we would! I think this would definitely liven up the new network, don’t you?

Last night, the state of New York legalized gay marriage!

Before the ruling, Neil Patrick Harris tweeted that he would love to tie the knot. He said, “I’d sure love to get married. Please, NY Senate, vote in favor of marriage equality today. My family would really appreciate it.”

After the ruling passed, he took to Twitter to express his excitement. He said, “It PASSED! Marriage equality in NY!! Yes!! Progress!! Thank you everyone who worked so hard on this!! A historic night!”

He went on to reveal that he and partner David Burtka have been engaged for five years, but were holding out for it to become legal. He added, “David and I did propose to each other, but over five years ago! We’ve been wearing engagement rings for ages, waiting for an available date.”

Good for them! Congratulations to all of the happy couples that this ruling brought together. Now, will the rest of the States follow suit already? We should be ashamed of ourselves as a nation for letting it take this long to give everyone equality.

I wonder when Neil and David’s big day is going to be?

Congratulations are in order for How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris and his boyfriend David Burtka! The hot couple are expecting the bundles of joy this October after visiting a surrogacy clinic in Los Angeles last year.

A source tells E! that the happy couple have put baby shower plans in motion, as if Harris’ chance of winning three Emmys this month wasn’t already enough to celebrate!

I wonder if they’re going to have boys or girls and what they’re going to name them. How sweet! I bet they’ll be wonderful parents!

Tonight, “How I Met Your Mother” aired its 100th episode and the show ended with Neil Patrick Harris singing this little number. It’s called “Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit” and features the cast, singing along, while wearing suits.

It was a cute episode tonight.
