America’s Got Talent Season 8 Promo (Video)
by Jessica LeFevre on May.01, 2013, under articles

The hit talent competition “America’s Got Talent” is making its way back to the small screen on NBC on June 4, 2013 at 9PM EST. With that, the show will have four judges: Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Mel B. and Heidi Klum. In a new interview, Howie opened up about the show adding a fourth judge to the fray.
He said, “Because there are four judges, it changes the rules. You need three yeses to move forward. Because you need three, I think that has upped the game in the talent. You have to do that much better to convince more judges that you’re worthy of it. And I think that has proved great. America is going to be so surprised at what they see.”
The show’s host, Nick Cannon, said, “I’m excited because Radio City Music Hall is one of the most historic stages in the world. There are entertainers out there that are professionals that have never performed on that stage, and to give an everyday America that opportunity to experience that is going to take the show to a whole new level.”

With regard to the judges, Nick added, “They all bicker. Mel B. bickers with Howard a lot. Howard and Howie still go at it. But it’s all love.”
Is this a show that you’ll want to tune in for when it makes its premiere this summer?

“American Idol” judge Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon took time out of their busy day to share a Valentine’s Day kiss with all of their fans. The duo smooched it up for the special day and shared the above photo on Twitter. CottenKandi reports:
Well, who else but these two would be so cheesy. Mariah Carey shared this photo of her and husband Nick Cannon just this morning with the message, “Happy Valentine’s Day lovers!!!! Our valentine’s day began last night…TBC : ) @nickcannongram”
The couple recently revealed they may want more kids and will be working on it on Valentine’s Day. We guess, they started early. We can’t wait to see more little Monroe and Morrocans walking around
In addition to being successful stars, Nick and Mariah have become just as famous for revealing holiday photos, so of course this one is no different. Check out their family Christmas photos with Roc & Roe.
Cute couple, right? Are you excited for more offspring from Nick and Mariah? Hit the comments and let us know your thoughts! If they do have more children, what do you think they should name them?
Nick Cannon Comments On ‘American Idol’ Drama; Says It Was For Ratings
by Jed Eckert on Oct.07, 2012, under articles

Even though Mariah Carey said that her fellow “American Idol” judge Nicki Minaj threatened to shoot her during a recent audition, her husband Nick Cannon doesn’t seem to think that there is anything to worry about. Was it just a publicity stunt?
On Saturday, Nick was hosting the Safe Communications 1st Annual Family Day in Santa Monica, California. At that time, he was asked if he is concerned at all about his wife’s safety on the hit talent show. If you’ll recall, Mariah and Nicki shared quite the beef. Mariah talked to her pal Barbara Walters about the feud, while Nicki took to her Twitter page to discuss not “needing an army”.
In a new interview, Nick said, “I wasn’t concerned. That’s exactly what you called it was drama. With drama, it’s theatrics. I’m not worried about that stuff.”
There were reports that Nicki threatened to shoot Mariah, which caused the singing legend to beef up her security team. To that, he said with a laugh, “I don’t know. I wasn’t there. It made for good news. It sounded good, right? Good job Fox.”
Do you think their feud was drummed up for publicity’s sake? Or do they really dislike each other that much? We’re guessing that Fox is trying to manufacture some drama to keep viewers interested until the show airs in January. What are your thoughts?
Mariah Carey Finalizing ‘American Idol’ Judging Deal
by Megan Lindsey on Jul.22, 2012, under articles

Even though Mariah Carey’s husband Nick Cannon said that it would take $100 million for him to let his wife out of the house to judge the upcoming season of “American Idol”, she is going through with it. The latest gossip suggests that Mariah is, in fact, in the final stages of negotiations to sign on for the show’s twelfth season. Did they come up with that $100 million? Or was Nick just being silly?
“Deadline” reports (via MTV News) that the “Idol” producers didn’t have to cough up the $100 million that Nick was referring to, but it did cost them. How much?
Mariah is said to be receiving more than $17 million for one full season on the show, which is even more than Britney Spears received for her first run on “The X Factor USA”. If Mariah is actually signed on for the show, who will be her judging partners?
Now that Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez have both jumped ship, will Randy Jackson stay? Or will he be replaced, as well? They do need to shake things up if they expect people to watch, no? What do you think, “Idol” watchers? What would make your eyes glued to the screen for “American Idol”?
Nick Cannon Won’t Let Mariah Carey Do ‘American Idol’ For Less Than $100 Million
by Megan Lindsey on Jul.20, 2012, under articles

“America’s Got Talent” host Nick Cannon said that he won’t let his wife Mariah Carey do “American Idol” for less than $100 million! We knew that Mariah was said to be in talks for the upcoming twelfth season of the talent competition, but we didn’t think it would cost the powers that be that much money. Can they even afford to entertain that idea?
Reportedly, Mariah was being considered to fill the vacant judging seat that has been left by Jennifer Lopez, but her husband wants it to be worth their while. In a new interview, Nick revealed, “They want her, I know that….but I ain’t letting her outta the house for less than $100 million. They’ve got to step it up if they want that. That’s Mariah Carey, she’s got more number ones than anyone ever. She’s the biggest singer/songwriter in the history of music; that’s worth something. And who’s gonna watch my kids if she does on American Idol?”
So basically she is interested, but we’re doubting that the “Idol” producers are flocking to sign any checks that big. What do you think? Is $100 million too much to pay for just one judge — or is she worth that? Hit the comments with your thoughts!
