Rapper Dollar Shot & Killed At The Beverly Center
by Roberta Ferguson on May.19, 2009, under articles
You may not have heard of Dolla before today, but he was an aspiring rapper out of Atlanta, Georgia. Dolla was murdered Monday afternoon, after the perpetrator brandished a gun at The Beverly Center in L.A. and shot him in the head.

That was the only photo that I could locate of the victim, from a 2008 CD, titled, “I’m Tore Up”.
TMZ has found out the identity of the suspect, who was trying to board a plane at LAX, with a gun. The perp, Aubery Berry, who was sitting there at the airport:
LAX police spotted a man who matched the description, sitting in the lobby area of Terminal 1. Cops approached Berry and almost immediately he said he knew why cops were there and then raised his hands and told them he had a 9 millimeter handgun in his waistband.
R.I.P. Dolla, he was only 21.

Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament Beaten & Robbed – Video
by Roberta Ferguson on May.16, 2009, under Uncategorized
Pearl Jam’s bass player, Jeff Ament was arriving at the studio in his SUV when three guys jumped out of the bushes and busted his windows. Jeff tried to run, but was caught by one of the guys who hit him in the head and left him with a gash.
The thieves made off with $3,000 in cash in addition to $4,000 in computers and equipment. This is just awful and we can only hope that the thieves can be identified and brought to justice.
Get well soon Jeff!

Courtney Love Trying To Hook Her Daughter Up With Robert Pattinson
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.19, 2009, under articles

Courtney Love thinks she’s rock royalty and that she can try to hook her 16-year-old daughter with anyone she wants. And that includes Twilight star Robert Pattinson.

That’s Rob, pre-haircut days. Think he’s interested in being Frances’ first date? And if you thought it was creepy that Miley Cyrus was dating a 20-year-old, then this is super creepy. I mean, sure he’s a new breakout “heartthrob” and everything, but isn’t it illegal?
A source says, “Courtney thinks he’s charming and handsome and absolutely has to be Frances’ first date. She’s doing everything she can to engineer another meeting.”
What would Kurt Cobain do?

by Roberta Ferguson on Aug.09, 2008, under articles
I know this has nothing really to do with music. But I wanted to give a shout out in rememberance to Bernie Mac, who passed away today.
He suffered from complications due to pneumonia. He was expected to make a full recovery. He was only 50 years old.
Rest in peace, Bernie Mac.

A worthwhile cause

I just got an email from our friends at Indie-Music.com and they’ve experienced a terrible situation:
Indie-Music.com’s regularly scheduled newsletter will delayed for an indefinite period of time, as will updates on the website. We apologize for the inconvenience.
On Saturday, June 8th, Indie-Music’s offices and the home of founders Suzanne Glass and Paul Bultman in Indiana were destroyed by flood waters.
We are currently without anywhere to live or work until matters can be resolved. Thankfully, everyone is safe. But operations at Indie-Music.com are suspended until the immediate emergency situation has passed.
We greatly appreciate donations already sent by friends and family. If anyone else wishes to contribute, you may send to our Paypal account at billingATindie-musicDOTcom.
If you can help out, I’m sure that they’d greatly appreciate it.
PR3 Celebrity blog, Tragicomical.com for sale on eBay
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.12, 2008, under articles
Now usually I don’t use this blog to peddle my wares at all, cuz you know I don’t endorse CRAP. (Except for endless amounts of Def Leppard concerts).
I’m selling off my celebrity blog, Tragicomical.com, because I don’t have time to keep it updated. It has a pagerank of three and it already has tons of content and several backlinks from some pretty cool celebrity blogs.
Check out the auction details here. Feel free to ask any questions.
