Okay, so I’m excited. I got a brand spanking new phone from Sprint, as a part of their Ambassador program, free. This rocks! So they want feedback, I’ll give them feedback :)

Isn’t it just sweet? I’ve had it since late yesterday and can’t stop playing with it. On one side you have the phone and camera, and on the other, you have the media player. I just figured out that I could watch E! on this thing.

Thanks Sprint, I love it! And I also love the six months free.

At the tail end of my last post, I offered a tidbit of information on how anyone of us can win a mascot at BloggingTips.com. I’d like to formally throw my hat in and see what happens.

What kind of mascot can they make for this site? Something musical, I’m sure. I’d like to really win a mascot at BloggingTips.com, but however unlikely it may seem, we shall see.

Update: I’m on the second page of the results for win a blog mascot so I’m going to keep putting forth some effort to try to get up there.

I am very curious as to what type of superhero concept they can come up with for Earsucker. That would be cute…or not….maybe an evil blog mascot, that would be cool.

I’m done rambling, for now.

Earlier today, I did a google search for blogging contests and tips, in an attempt to learn more about blogging to spruce up my content or even pick up some cool plugins and whathaveyou. I stumbled upon (not literally) John Chow’s blog about how to make money online. Apparently, this guy has made some serious cash just from his blog. He is offering a free link back to you and all he is asking is that you review his blog.

With a neatly designed website and a gazillion comments and links, I was/am on a path to find out what makes his blog so popular. He doesn’t center his blog around just one topic, like internet marketing. No, he has several: Investing, Cars, and Fine Dining, to name a few.

A few days ago, I was contacted by Sprint. I almost dismissed the email as spam, but I’m glad I didn’t. They invited yours truly to participate in their Ambassador program. And, they are sending me a Samsung SPH-m610 phone. Woohoo, this thing has a camera in it and it plays music and video.

Maybe I’ll start taking the phone to live shows and take some live shots of the bands and maybe some video clips. I can’t wait to tinker with my new toy. It’s like Christmas :)

The last time I participated in Darren Rowse’s Problogger contest, I had a lot of fun. I wrote about Britney Spears’ 2007 possible comeback and actually won a $100 gift card.

These contests are a fun and creative way to get people who normally wouldn’t share the link love, to do so. I can’t wait to do this again. It sounds as if the prize will be pretty nifty this time around, too.
