Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart won’t attend the Oscars together
by Lydia Harris on Feb.18, 2011, under articles

The Oscars will be airing on February 27, 2011, but there’s one couple that won’t be attending the ceremony together: Robert Pattinson and real life girlfriend Kristen Stewart!
Reportedly, Rob will be attending the awards show by himself, as Kristen will be busy working. Kristen had expressed an interest in attending the ceremony after being offered the chance to present an award, but has to back out due to filming commitments.
There has been a lot of buzz surrounding these two lately. Rumors were flying that they were planning on getting married, which was debunked. Even more recently, Rob admitted that shooting a love scene for Breaking Dawn with Kristen was “awkward”.
He said, “It’s always awkward, in a way, if you’re doing it with anybody. It really depends on how it’s staged and stuff. It’s like doing Twister.”
Kristen Stewart defends her Oscars speech
by Roberta Ferguson on Mar.11, 2010, under articles
Kristen Stewart drew criticism online over her throat clearing at the Oscars. I wasn’t sure why that was such a big deal, but some were offended, I imagine.
Kristen felt the need to defend the cough and even went as far as explaining herself.
She said, “I wouldn’t have been able to finish the sentence had I not gone and cleared my throat. Then I would’ve gotten more criticism for not being able to speak at the Oscars – which is worse than clearing your throat at the Oscars. It’s all good. There are a few things that replay in my head like, oh that happened, why? Why? A lot of it I find funny. The coughing I did find funny. This is going to baffle some people, but I was so proud of myself that night. I didn’t fall down or anything!”
I still don’t see what the big deal was over an “ahem” at the Oscars. PS. I loved her dress!

Miley Cyrus not taking Liam Hemsworth to the Oscars
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.25, 2010, under articles
Miley Cyrus will be presenting at this year’s Oscars, but don’t expect to see her Australian boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth on her arm. She’s taking her mother Tish, instead.
It’s no disrespect to Liam, either, she just said that she doesn’t want her appearance overshadowed by her relationship with the actor.
A source said, “Liam’s a pretty low-key guy anyways, he doesn’t mind not going.”
Her rep confirmed that “She’s taking her mom, Tish.”
Miley said, “We’ve decided that any type of relationship that we have, we will always just keep it very down low. First and foremost, we are best friends, so that’s what I tell people all the time. All you want is for one person to say, ‘You did a really good job today.’ Or, ‘You look really beautiful’, or, ‘I was really moved by that.’ You just want one person to make you feel good about something you’re doing.”

Jennifer Lopez should have won an Oscar?
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.07, 2010, under articles
In the latest issue of “Latina” magazine, Jennifer Lopez rants a little bit about how she should have won an Oscar for her role in “El Cantante”.
Lopez starred in the 2006 movie, alongside husband Marc Anthony. She expressed her disappointment with the Academy voters in her non-receipt of a nomination for the golden statue.
She said, “I feel like I had that [Oscar worthy role] in ‘El Cantante’, but I don’t even think the academy members saw it. I feel like it’s their responsibility to do that, to see everything that’s out there, everything that could be great.” (continue reading…)
