X Factor USA’s Rachel Crow Wants To Be Huge Like Justin Bieber
by Jessica LeFevre on Dec.15, 2011, under articles

The X Factor USA’s most recent cast-off, Rachel Crow, has high aspirations for her career. After getting eliminated from the show, she has revealed that she wants the same success as teen singer Justin Bieber.
In a new interview with Kelly Ripa, she said, “I want to wind up being huge, like Justin Bieber huge!”
There were also a bunch of rumors floating around that Rachel had been approached by head honchos over at Disney, but she has dismissed them, saying that she hasn’t heard anything from them.
She also spoke of her shocking elimination from the show. She said, “Yes, very surprised. I’ve been walking around and people see me and say, ‘I’m so sorry you lost and got booted out.’ I’m like, ‘It’s okay!’”
We thought it was unfair that she got eliminated instead of Marcus Canty. She is a talented girl, she will definitely go far. But can she be as “huge” as Justin Bieber? What do you think?
Marcus Canty Almost Quit After Rachel Crow Was Eliminated From The X Factor
by Roberta Ferguson on Dec.14, 2011, under articles

Last week, it was a contentious decision for Nicole Scherzinger to send the X Factor competition into a deadlock. In the end, it was Rachel Crow, who was eliminated from the show. Marcus Canty had been in the bottom two for three times, but the public voted for Marcus to stick around.
Now, he’s saying that he almost quit the show!
A source behind the scenes said, “Marcus was crying backstage. It took him a few hours to pull himself together. He felt so bad, his first reaction was to quit.”
Of the shocking elimination, he said, “I’ve got plenty of negative backlash. People saying, ‘Marcus go home.’ I’ve got called names.”
After being put up against Drew Ryniewicz on the previous week and Rachel this week, he said, “I knew people would say, ‘Marcus the baby-killer’, and I got the little girls crying. But people should be prepared for a heartbreak, cause everybody can’t win. If people wanted Rachel to go through, they should have voted for her.”
Now that he’s in the top four, he said that he’s not going to give up. He added, “I am a cat with nine lives. They try to get rid of me, but they can’t.”
Who do you think is going to win the competition? Stay tuned, we’ll be recapping the show live, as it airs tonight!
Rachel Crow Consoled Nicole Scherzinger After X Factor USA Elimination
by Lydia Harris on Dec.12, 2011, under articles

Since Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul received death threats over the elimination of Simon Cowell’s favorite competitor, Drew, on The X Factor USA, it appears that they are taking extra precautions to make sure that the same thing didn’t happen when favorite Rachel Crow was eliminated.
After the shocking elimination, Rachel went backstage to find a sobbing Nicole — and comforted her!
Rachel said, “Nicole’s amazing! I consoled her backstage, she was very sad. It was really hard to watch her. I hugged her and we sat for a long time and we talked and we made it all better.”
Rachel also praised her former mentor, Simon. She said, “I learned from Simon that no matter what happens it will all be okay. Life does go on and you either get bigger or smaller. He said, you always have to follow your dreams and be yourself and don’t let anyone change you.”
With all of the Disney talk surrounding the young star, she says that she has yet to sign any deal with them. She said, “I personally haven’t gotten any calls from Disney! I don’t know where that’s coming from. I really want to get a song or two our there and then maybe go there, movies and TV or something.”
As far as the future is concerned, she said she wants to collaborate with a mega-star, Eminem. She added, “Eminem’s just amazing and I want to sing with him very badly!”
Rachel Crow Responds To The X Factor USA Elimination
by Jessica LeFevre on Dec.09, 2011, under articles

In a shocking elimination, Rachel Crow was cast off from The X Factor USA last night. It came down to between Rachel and Marcus Canty. It was familiar territory for Marcus, who was in the bottom two for the third time in a row. This was a first for Rachel, who has always performed way above par.
After their respective performances, Nicole Scherzinger made the decision to allow America to decide who was going home. In the end, Rachel had the lowest votes and was eliminated.
Simon Cowell wasn’t upset with Nicole’s decision, however. He said, “I know when someone’s doing something for the right reasons and I have to be fair like that. There were no games being played tonight. Because I thought we were so safe, I thought, that’s quite a nice gesture to do, to let Marcus go. I went to see her afterwards and this is all off-camera stuff. You know when someone’s lying. She was distraught.”
Rachel took to her Twitter account to discuss the elimination. She said, “Thank u so much to all of my fans I love you so much. I am sad tonight but I will bounce back and be fine tomorrow :) Please don’t be angry with @nicolesherzy she was put in such a tough position. I love u all so much.”
As far as who she’s throwing her support behind? She tweeted, “@MrChrisRene @TheXFactorUSA I miss u already too now go win this thing!!”
In the end, she tweeted, “I am so thankful to have such amazing fans thank u for sticking by me. I love u with all my heart.”
We’ll miss you on the show Rachel!

The X Factor USA: Rachel Crow Eliminated – VIDEO & POLL
by Roberta Ferguson on Dec.08, 2011, under articles

Tonight was quite the shock on the elimination episode of The X Factor! We were utterly shocked to see the bottom three, which consisted of Melanie Amaro, Rachel Crow and Marcus Canty.
When Melanie’s name was announced as safe, we didn’t know what to expect. We had assumed that since Marcus had been in the bottom two twice before, that surely America would have voted to send him home.
Alas, they performed their “Save Me” songs and put all they had into them. Marcus sang I’m Going Down first and he nailed it. Afterward, Rachel killed the Etta James classic, I’d Rather Go Blind.
VIDEO:
We were SHOCKED that Rachel was eliminated! Were you? Take our poll:
The top four contestants are Melanie Amaro, Josh Krajcik, Marcus Canty and Chris Rene. What do you think of tonight’s show? Sound off in the comments and let us know your thoughts!
The X Factor USA Final 5 Performance Review
by Jessica LeFevre on Dec.08, 2011, under articles

Last night’s performance episode of The X Factor USA was a good one! In case you’ve missed the episode, you can read our recap here or enjoy the performance videos here.
For the first round, each act performed a dance song, as DJ’ed by Nervo. Melanie Amaro shined with her cover of Adele’s Someone Like You. Rachel Crow’s cover of B.O.B.’s hit Nothing On You was happy and bright, but not exactly the best song choice for her. Josh Krajcik seemed out of place with his Rihanna cover of We Found Love. His voice can handle the song, but it’s obviously not his genre. Marcus Canty was decent with his Chaka Khan cover of Ain’t Nobody…that seemed like his best performance. Chris Rene’s cover of T.I.’s song, Livin’ Your Life was so-so.
Was it just me or did you think that Simon Cowell was trying to nudge Josh out of the competition?
At the last minute, the contestants were informed that they would be performing their Pepsi Challenge songs next week, so they were advised to sing their “save me” songs.
Melanie belted out Whitney Houston’s When You Believe and killed it! Not just anyone can cover Whitney, so she should be proud. Marcus’ Leon Russell song, A Song For You, was slow and somber. Rachel’s cover of Michael Jackson’s song, Music And Me, was cute and happy. I love Rachel, she’s so peppy and sweet. Disney will be calling her if she doesn’t win. Josh sang Something In The Way She Moves by The Beatles and we are just in love with this man’s voice. Seriously. After Chris’ first performance, we weren’t sure if he would end up in the bottom two, but he nailed the second song with his own original track, titled, Where Do We Go From Here. That song sounds like something that would do well on the radio.
Who earned your votes last night? Sound off in the comments and let us know! As always, stay tuned for our official recap tonight, as the show airs!
UPDATE: Elimination Recap Here
The X Factor USA Results Top 7 Double Elimination Live Recap 12/1/11
by Jessica LeFevre on Dec.01, 2011, under articles

On last night’s performance episode of The X Factor USA, it was Michael Jackson night. All of the remaining contestants put their own spins on our favorite tunes from the King Of Pop. In attendance, were Michael’s brothers, his children, Paris, Prince and Blanket, along with his mother, Katherine, who is a big fan of the show. [Recap, performance videos]
Here’s who sang what on last night’s show, along with our brief commentary:
Josh Krajcik – Dirty Diana [Overshadowed by overproduction.]
Astro – Black Or White [Good rap, excellent stage presence.]
Drew – Billie Jean [Boring, but great voice. Yawn.]
Rachel Crow – Can You Feel It [Did not feel it.]
Marcus Canty – PYT (Pretty Young Thing) [His vocals were off]
Chris Rene – I’ll Be There [Going home.]
Melanie Amaro – Earth Song [Best performance of the night.]
So, who’s getting eliminated tonight? Our guess is Chris Rene and quite possibly Marcus Canty or Rachel Crow. Even though Josh Krajcik’s performance left a lot to be desired, the man can still sing. One bad night should not exclude him from going through to the top five.
Who are you rooting for tonight? Stay tuned, we’ll be providing our live up-to-minute coverage of the show when the show airs at 8PM EST.
It’s showtime! Over 16 million people voted for last night’s finalists! The top seven are kicking off the show with a tribute to Michael Jackson’s Man In The Mirror. I love it! Josh and Melanie really are stars! Astro is rapping, nice! Best group performance of the show yet.
Going through the competition:
Chris Rene
Melanie Amaro
Rachel Crow
Josh Krajcik
Marcus Canty
Tinie Tempah is performing his new song, Pass Out.
Between Astro, Marcus Canty and Drew, the act with the lowest amount of votes and will be leaving immediately is Astro! Wow! Now, Drew and Marcus will have to go head-to-head in the final showdown! Steve Jones still cracks me up with his “Off you go, Astro!” Drew is whiny, jeez. Perhaps tonight, she’s going to give us an upbeat performance?
Regarding Astro, he has talent, there is no doubt about that. I just think America fell out of love with him after he demonstrated his attitude. If he would’ve remained grateful, I think he would still be in the competition. I guess Vote For The Worst couldn’t save him this week.
Drew is up first, performing Listen To Your Heart by Roxette. I was hoping for that swift, upbeat ending, but we didn’t get it. Snooze.
Up next is Marcus, singing Neither One Of Us by Gladys Knight. It has feeling and soul, but will it be enough?
So who has been eliminated from tonight’s show???
L.A. Reid is sending Drew home.
Simon Cowell is sending Marcus home.
Nicole Scherzinger is sending Drew home.
Paula Abdul is sending Drew home.
Drew Ryniewicz has been eliminated! Shocking! What do you think of tonight’s elimination?!!!??

Singing last on tonight’s episode of The X Factor is Rachel Crow, singing I’d Rather Go Blind by Etta James from the Cadillac Records Soundtrack. What a good song for Rachel! She’s a gem, isn’t she?
You can tell that Simon is really enjoying the performance, along with the audience.
L.A. Reid said that up until now he wasn’t sure that she was a true contender, but tonight she proved that she has her eye on the target. by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.07, 2011, under articles

The competition is getting stiff on the first season of The X Factor USA! On last week’s episode of the show, we saw the elimination of Paula Abdul’s group, inTENsity. With a five million dollar recording contract on the line, what will the contestants do to take it to the next level?

Rachel Crow – ‘Walking On Sunshine’ – The X Factor Live Performance Video
by Jessica LeFevre on Nov.03, 2011, under articles

Rachel Crow took on Katrina & The Waves on last night’s performance episode of The X Factor!
She performed a happy, energetic version of their hit song, Walking On Sunshine, much to the delight of the judges and audience. We bet that she does feel like she’s walking on sunshine, after having made it this far in the competition. We just love everything about this pint-sized singer, but perhaps this wasn’t exactly a good song choice for her?

Simon Cowell Gets Extra Security For His X Factor Girls
by Jessica LeFevre on Oct.31, 2011, under articles

On last week’s episode of The X Factor, we’ve told you how the judges have eliminated singers from their teams.
Now that Simon Cowell had to eliminate two girls from his team, he’s down to his top three contestants, Drew Ryniewicz, Melanie Amaro and Rachel Crow. Apparently their security has become an issue!
According to our sources, Simon has grown concerned about the safety of the three girls — Drew Ryniewicz, Melanie Amaro, and Rachel Crow — after a recent trip to the mall turned into a mob scene.
Our sources says the incident prompted Simon to instruct his personal bodyguards … they are not to let the girls leave the studio without some form of security. We’re told Simon wants the girls to be able to feel safe while doing the kinds of things normal girls do.
Simon sure is protective of the talent! Good for him! He is super confident that one of his girls has what it takes to go all the way in the competition. Who are you rooting for? Sound off in the comments below and let us know what you think.

Rachel Crow performed Justin Bieber’s hit song, Baby for the live X Factor performances last night.
I wasn’t sure of the song choice, considering that the song was already sang on the show. But still, she brought a really cute age appropriate performance to the show.
Check out her performance:

Rachel Crow ‘I Want It That Way’ X Factor Performance Video
by Lydia Harris on Oct.16, 2011, under articles

Rachel Crow may be young, but she’s not short on talent!
On tonight’s Judge’s Houses episode of The X Factor, Rachel performed I Want It That Way by The Backstreet Boys, for Simon Cowell.
She did a great job, but she left us unsure if her talent was enough to get her through to the next round. We love her positive attitude about the whole process and she’s totally funny.
Check out the video, below:
