Debunked: Rihanna is not giving away ‘Rated R’ with Pizza Hut
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.30, 2009, under articles
If you believed for one moment that you could order two medium topping pizzas and 5 breadsticks from Pizza Hut and get three copies of Rihanna’s “Rated R”, then you are sadly mistaken.
Some Photoshop junkie took Pizza Hut’s holiday meal deal and took the liberty of adding a nice little photo of “Rated R” into the mix. And you won’t just get one copy of the album, you would get three. How thoughtful.

Rihanna changed her album title
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.25, 2009, under articles
Rihanna had to change the title of her latest album, after getting some flack due to her choice.
The singer dropped her latest album, “Rated R”, on November 23rd and has revealed that the name wasn’t her first choice. She said, “I actually wanted to name my album, ‘Such A F***ing Lady’, but a couple of stores, a couple of major outlets didn’t allow that…That was the title for a while, but ‘Rated R’ made more sense because of the overall story. It’s a movie really, the album. But ‘Such A F***ing Lady’ – we take everything back to that – especially in our style.”
I can’t imagine Best Buy or Walmart buying that up in droves with that title, even if it’s more fitting as to her vision for the album. Having said that, I must say that I loathe censorship. She should have been able to keep her original album title, with no quips from the little guys.

Rihanna sings about Chris Brown attack in ‘Cold Case Love’
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.16, 2009, under articles
Rihanna has written a song on her new album, “Rated R” about her attack by Chris Brown. The song is called “Cold Case Love” and it was written about the incident in February.
She said, “It was one of the first songs I did for the album and it is one of the most emotional.”
She also revealed that she wanted to get back into the studio quickly after the incident to avoid the public pity. She added, “When I was given time off in March, it was a little crazy. Being at home was driving me mad. I couldn’t go anywhere. It was, like, ‘Look at the poor victim!’ So I called my label and said, ‘I’m ready.’”
I hope writing that was cathartic for her and that she never subjects herself to that loser ever again.

Rihanna is nervous about first concert since her attack
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.11, 2009, under articles
Rihanna is set to take the stage to perform in London on November 16th at a secret location, and she’s nervous. The concert marks her first return to the stage since Chris Brown attacked her in February.
She’s set to perform songs from her newest album, “Rated R” and is worried about everyone’s eyes being on her.
She said, “It’s a live stream worldwide, which means everyone can watch it at the same time all over the world, live, all at once, which is exciting. It makes me nervous, because it’s not just the 6,000 people in the venue, it’s millions of people across the world watching it all at once. It’s exciting, though; it’s a big thing that everyone can see it.”
She also added that she hopes to feed off of the energy at the secret show. She added, “London is one of my favorite cities to go in the world; it’s where I get most of my creative energy.”
Good luck, RiRi, you’ll do just fine!
