Last night, we recapped the season 16 premiere episode of The Bachelor with Ben Flajnik. Ben was flanked by 25 women, but only had one first impression rose along with 17 more roses to pass out at the rose ceremony. Boy, was last night’s show filled with nothing but drama, drama, drama!

What stood out for us, along with some highlights of the show:

Monica! Why did they introduce a woman on the show who was into other women? (Not that there’s anything wrong with that) I thought that all of the women were supposed to be there to find love with Ben. She was weird.

What was even more weird was how she and Jenna (the blogger) didn’t get along. I didn’t understand any of that mess. I did not get their seemingly fake feud. Did you?

Speaking of Jenna, why was she so emotional? Why was she a constant sniveling mess?!? Does she need anti-depressants? WTF?

Was it the first time in the history of the show that someone (Lindzi C.) arrived using something other than a limo? She rode in on a horse and also snagged the first impression rose.

Does some of the drama seem fake and scripted? Did they pay Jenna to be this blubbery mess that we saw on television last night? Why does Ben remind us of the Geico caveman so much?

Rihanna is all throughout the video, but doesn’t sing. Kanye sings and there’s like 800 of him floating around in the beginning.

It’s a good song, maybe Rihanna should’ve sang it? What do you think?

During a show in Aspen, Colorado, some guy thought it was a good idea to pass money out like it grows on trees during a Pitbull concert.

The rapper pulled the guy on stage and decked him!

And he never missed a beat. Security got the guy after Pitbull knocked him to the floor, and kicked him out. He was let back in after he was deemed not to be a threat. The police were not called as a result of the incident.

After hearing the song over the past few weeks, I think it had a lot of potential to be much better than it is.

Lady Sovereign agreed to play a free set at Easy Street Records in Seattle on May 21st. The performance was in support of her new CD.

After performing one song, Lady Sov tells the crowd that it sounds like crap and that she’d take their names for the concert later that evening. The audience member who filmed the video started recording when she stopped singing.
