There were rumors floating around that Jennifer Lopez was set to leave “American Idol” after this season of the show. She hasn’t really spoken out about all of the talk until now.

The latest Hollywood gossip suggested that J-Lo wouldn’t be reprising her role as a judge on the popular singing competition. It was said that she was just too busy to do the show next season with all of her other commitments. Now, she has taken to her official Twitter page to discuss the reports.

She tweeted, “There is no truth to the reports that say I am definitely leaving Idol. All I said was I haven’t decided what I am doing next year. When I know for sure what I’m doing I will let the #LOVE!RS know!”

It’s no secret that “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest’s girlfriend Julianne Hough was harboring a crush on contestant Phillip Phillips. After Phillip performed on April 25th, Ryan called Julianne out for her crush — on national television. After the judges’ commentary on Phillip’s Dave Matthews Band cover of “The Stone”, Ryan put it all out there.

Ryan said that his girlfriend was watching Phillip backstage. He told the audience, “I think she sighed and blushed and said, ‘Yummy’.” She was laughing backstage when the cameras panned to her and he added, “We’ll be having this conversation after the show darling.”

After telling Ryan that he wasn’t trying to steal his girl, he took to Twitter to say this to Julianne: “@juliannehough hahahah it was soo funny when ryan called you out last night, i didnt excpect that! haha”.

Now, it appears that in the wake of the hilarity, Ryan is getting serious about asking Julianne to be his wife. They have been dating for two years and the “Idol” host said, “It’s something we talk about. On our anniversary night we talked about the things that we’d done that year. I think I did everything right! We wouldn’t televise our wedding.”

Of course all of that didn’t stop Ryan for faking a proposal on Wednesday night’s show. We thought he was going to pop the question right then. Instead, he wanted her to give a note to Tom Cruise. Meh.

Now that Kim Kardashian and her family have signed a $40 million deal with E! to keep their reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians on the air for another three years, Kim wants to branch out into scripted television!

Hey Kim, just because you can play yourself on television, doesn’t mean that you can really “act”. Listen to Jon Hamm’s previous comments — because he’s totally right.

According to reports, Kim is in the beginning stages of developing her own scripted half hour comedy series. A source said, “Kim wants to move beyond reality TV and become a comedy actress. She really wants to be the next Sofia Vergara.”

Another source said, “Acting is something she wants to just for her. Kim wants to do something that wouldn’t involve her sisters. Will Ryan Seacrest back her new idea to become a sitcom actress?

On Wednesday night’s performance episode of American Idol, host Ryan Seacrest caught his current girlfriend Julianne Hough scoping out hot Leesburg, Georgia native Phillip Phillips. So he called her out on it — despite never having publicly spoken of his relationship with the former Dancing With The Stars pro.

After Phillip performed The Stone by the Dave Matthews Band, Ryan said that Julianne was basically checking him out. He revealed, “I think she sighed and blushed and said, ‘Yummy’.”

Afterward, the camera panned to an embarrassed Julianne, with Ryan adding, “We’ll be having this conversation after the show, darling.”

Phillip responded, “I’m not trying to steal your girl, Ryan.”

Julianne has been gushing about her man on Twitter, saying of his sickness, “I am so proud and inspired by my man @RyanSeacrest Nothing can and ever will stop you from delivering the very best Even at your weakest! :)”

Since, Phillip took to his official Twitter account to tweet to Julianne. He said, “@juliannehough hahahah it was soo funny when ryan called you out last night, i didnt excpect that! haha”.

He also had some words of wisdom for ousted contestant Elise Testone. He tweeted, “you killed it tonight! You’re so awesome and dont forget that! See u soon and be good ha”.

Ryan Seacrest still hosted last night’s performance episode of American Idol even though reports were flowing in that he was sick with a stomach virus. He hugged the judges, got close to the contestants and promptly became “patient zero” on the singing competition. He’s a trooper, for sure.

Despite all of that, we couldn’t tell that Ryan was sick at all — so he’s definitely a class act. What we didn’t expect was for Ryan to publicly talk about his girlfriend, Julianne Hough, on national television.

He did just that last night after Idol favorite Phillip Phillips performed his rendition of the Dave Matthews Band’s song, The Stone. After the judges’ commentary, Ryan said that Julianne was watching Phillip backstage. He said, “I think she sighed and blushed and said, ‘Yummy’.”

Just then, the cameras cut to her backstage laughing it all off. Ryan said, “We’ll be having this conversation after the show, darling.”

Phillip reassured the Idol host, “I’m not trying to steal your girl, Ryan.”

This is the first time that Ryan has ever said that he was dating anyone on the show. Why now? Perhaps he’s going to ask Julianne to marry him? Or could it be that he was just goofy from being sick? What do you think? Can you blame Julianne for thinking Phillip is hot?

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest has signed a new contract for two more years serving as the host of the singing competition. He co-hosted the show with Brian Dunkleman when it first aired in 2002, but has solely presented the show since.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Seacrest will earn a total of $15 million annually for re-upping his contract with Fox. The show is currently in its eleventh season and has seen stiff declines in ratings, but Seacrest has been a long-running staple on the show, alongside judge Randy Jackson.

Fox executives have dubbed Seacrest as “the glue” that keeps American Idol together. As such, all of the other positions besides his and Jackson’s have been changed up throughout the show’s run. One insider revealed, “The goal has always been to keep him.”

Seacrest said in a statement, “For the last eleven seasons, I’ve had the privilege to be a part of one of television’s most iconic shows. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m excited for my journey with American Idol to continue. The legions of fans, amazingly talented contestants, judges, and producers, along with the hard working ‘Idol’ crew, impress me every time we go on air and make hosting the show a dream job.”

On American Idol last night, the top seven took on songs from “Now & Then”. Kicking off the show, host Ryan Seacrest paid tribute to the late, great “oldest teenager” Dick Clark. In case you’ve missed the show, read our full recap here.

Tonight, we are expecting a more fitting tribute to the late TV great. On tonight’s elimination, seven will finally become six as the show eliminates a contestant.

AMERICAN IDOL TOP 7 ELIMINATION RECAP HERE!

We have learned from American Idol host Ryan Seacrest that the show will find some way to pay tribute to fallen singer Whitney Houston.

During his coverage of the Grammy Awards, he said, “I can tell you now that I was on the phone with American Idol producers. We are trying to figure out how we can go in and obviously pay tribute in some way and acknowledge the impact that she had on popular singers, popular music and young singers that are trying to make it. So we’ll see.”

Simon Cowell recently revealed that he was considering Whitney for a judging spot on The X Factor USA. Also of note, Nigel Lythgoe claimed that he wanted Whitney as a mentor on this season of American Idol.

Whitney was 48 when she passed away suddenly on Saturday afternoon. It was said that she could have passed away as a result of a dangerous combination of Xanax and alcohol. She was found by her aunt in her Beverly Hilton suite, with her face submerged underwater.

Rest in peace, Whitney. Let’s hope the show pays you a fitting tribute.

Now that Steve Jones is out at the host of The X Factor USA, who is going to fill his shoes? It’s being rumored that American Idol host Ryan Seacrest might be taking the job.

If Ryan were approached to take the hosting duties for Simon Cowell’s talent show, wouldn’t that mean the show is becoming American Idol 2.0?

Ryan is a good host and the show definitely needs a boost since ousting the Welsh host, Steve. However, after hearing Ryan utter the words, “This…is…American Idol!” so many times, would you want him to join The X Factor? Could you imagine him as the host of both shows?

Will Simon seek out Ryan to host the show? Or will he opt to find some new talent for the hosting job? Who should he hire to take on that role?

It’s also being rumored that Simon is looking to get Mariah Carey on the show as a judge. That move would definitely bring some star power to the show, but is she the right choice?

It’s an all new auditions episode of American Idol tonight, as the show rolls into Aspen, Colorado to find its next star!

The show has already taken the competition to Savannah, Georgia, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and San Diego, California and has already cultivated some talent for its roster of Hollywood Week stars. You can check out the recaps of the premiere, second and third episodes at the links provided.

So far, we were impressed with David Leathers, Jr., Gabby Carrubba, Shannon Magrane, Amy Brumfield, Phillip Phillips, Eben Franckiewitz, Hallie Day, Jayrah Gibson, Ali Shields, Kyle Crews and Jason “Wolf” Hamlin.

We weren’t so impressed with a slew of the singers and even some who got the golden ticket. Among them were Jennifer Diley, who wore a bikini to her audition and claimed that Steven told her she was guaranteed to get through to Hollywood.

Also leaving us unimpressed was Jim Carrey’s daughter, Jane. Sure, she sounded alright, but this was her chance to try and make it without the help of her father. She performed Bonnie Raitt’s song, Something To Talk About and it was a bit flat. They’ve let go of better talent than she has, only to push her through to the next round. It was also rumored that Jane received special treatment from the show — and didn’t have to wait in line like the rest of the people competing.

The show airs on FOX tonight from 8-9PM EST. We’ll be watching…Will YOU? Apparently, they’re going to have some pretty awful singers tonight. We’ve heard a funny quote from Steven Tyler: “Some days you’re the bird, and other days you’re the statue.” Let’s see if that rings true later on tonight!

In case you hadn’t heard, there were rumors floating around the internet suggesting that Ryan Seacrest was set to be axed from American Idol. Rest assured Idol fans, Ryan isn’t going anywhere!

The Hollywood Reporter said that Ryan might not get his contract renewed after this upcoming season, possibly because he’s been raking in $15 million per year for the show. However, those reports turned out to be false, after the show’s executive said that they couldn’t do it without Ryan.

Fox exec, Mike Darnell, revealed, “We love Ryan. I can’t imagine the show without him. He’s an enormous part of the show – our expectation is he’s going to be on the show as long as we can get him.”

The President of Entertainment at Fox, Kevin Reilly, added, “It’s very hard to imagine the show without Ryan. It’s a tough negotiation and one that will come to conclusion pretty quickly.”

I bet they’re just going to get Ryan into a meeting, ask however much he’s looking to earn and try to seal the deal with another multi-year contract. If he’s that much of an integral part of the show that they couldn’t imagine doing the show without him, then they’re likely to give him whatever he wants to keep him staying put.

The new promo for the eleventh season of American Idol has been released!

In the video, you can see the judges, Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson, along with host Ryan Seacrest, encouraging some Idol hopefuls to follow them to the auditions for the famed singing competition.

According to American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, pop singer Lady Gaga wore some pretty insane shoes for her appearance on the show tonight!

Ryan put the news ever so discreetly on his official wesbite, saying that the shoes were “broadcast standards sensitive” and revealed that she was “wearing a very popular female tool on her feet.”

He added, “Only Gaga can put herself into footwear that is a device of pleasure.”

Yesterday, we’ve learned that Ryan Seacrest is really, super kind to famewhores. Not like that’s any kind of surprise, considering that he keeps Kim Kardashian on television.

But, since being a reality show villain has worked out so well for Spencer Pratt (enter sarcasm here), he is now groveling at the feet of the most well liked guy in the entertainment world right now.

He reportedly wrote an email to Ryan’s talent agent, Amy Sugarman, asking for the chance to work for Ryan. He told her, “I’m trying to change my image and make myself more likable.”

Good luck with that one! Let us know how that works out for ya!

Thursday, he called in to discuss the idea with Ryan. He said, “How do you go from being hated to even a little bit likable? It’s about who you’re around. I’ve learned you need to be around likable people to even start to be likable. Who’s the most likable person in America, if not the world? That would be Ryan Seacrest.”

Too funny. At least he really wants some honest employment…that’s got to count for something, right?

Kim Kardashian premiered her new single, Jam, during Ryan Seacrest’s radio show today and YES! It’s just as awful and autotuned as you thought it would be!

It was widely believed that the song would make its official debut on Sunday’s Kourtney & Kim Take New York, but it has just reached our eardrums today! And SURPRISE! It SUCKS!

Thankfully, she has previously said that she won’t be releasing a full album, so can we close this Pandora’s box of craziness and never hear from her again? Please?

When Ryan Seacrest asked Kesha for her New Years Eve resolution, two minutes before midnight, I think he was a bit thrown off. She responded, “To not be a douchebag”. He said, “You can do that”, as he quickly moved on to the New Kids on the Block.

Can she keep her resolution for 2011? We’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we?

Lady Gaga, among others, are giving up social networks for a day — for a good cause!

Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest, Justin Timberlake and others are giving up Facebook and Twitter, to raise money for AIDS.

The celebrities involved will stop tweeting and updating their Facebook pages until they reach a total of $1 million for Keep A Child Alive, a charity that was co-founded by Alicia Keys and Leigh Blake.

This Wednesday, World AIDS Day, Kardashian, who has more than 5.4 million Twitter followers, will be joined by the likes of Lady Gaga, Ryan Seacrest, Justin Timberlake and a host of others and sign off from all social-networking platforms.

The macabre move is designed to show solidarity with those in Africa and India affected by HIV/AIDS.

And here I thought there wasn’t anything that could shut Kim Kardashian up!

It was rumored that once Jessica Simpson heard the news of Nick Lachey’s engagement to Vanessa Minnillo, she became obsessed in finding out every last detail. She even had a friend of hers setup a Google Alert just so she wouldn’t miss out on any of the juicy gossip.

Now, she has released an official statement, and she couldn’t be happier for the happy couple. She went on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to dispel the rumors that she was saddened by the news of their engagement.

She said, “I am extremely, extremely happy for him. I couldn’t be more happy for Nick. I don’t know where all those rumors came from. My mom actually called me and told me that everybody was saying I was ‘saddened’. And I was just in complete shock.”

She added, “You know, our relationship was over a really long time ago, so it would be nice if everybody could move on with us and really just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa. I do, and I wish him nothing but the best.”

Jersey Shore starlet Jenni “JWoww” Farley was offered $400,000 to bare all in an upcoming issue of Playboy magazine, but has since turned it down.

She talked to Ryan Seacrest yesterday morning to discuss why she turned down the offer for the men’s publication.

She said, “I’m not gonna do Playboy in the near future. There is a better opportunity out there that everyone will probably see soon, and that’s what I’m going to go with.”

Then Ryan asked, “What’s better than $400,000?”, to which she responded, “You’ll have to wait and see!”

There was quite the speculation as to whether or not pop princess Britney Spears would appear on the Glee episode dedicated to her, but it has since been confirmed.

Just an hour ago, Ryan Seacrest took to his Twitter to confirm the news. He said, “Spoke to @gleeonfox creator ryan murphy. Said @britneyspears will appear on glee. Also no plans yet but wants to do Prince, Beatles & MJ eps.”

Hey, just because you dress slutty doesn’t mean that you are slutty. Right, Miley Cyrus?

Apparently that’s her argument toward people who think she’s coming off as too adult for her age. After her bird-like costume in her video for Can’t Be Tamed was revealed, Miley was berated for coming off as dressing too provocatively.

Huffington Post reports:

“I’m not trying to be ‘slutty,’” said Cyrus in a recent interview. “I’m not trying to be like, go to the club and get a bunch of guys … What I’m trying to do is to make a point with my record and look consistent, in the way my record sounds and the way I dress.”

Also, Miley has spoken out about the controversy surrounding Perez Hilton tweeting an upskirt photo of her.

“Isn’t it funny that things like that, that are so negative, have to come out right before my record?” she told Seacrest. “It’s like no one can let positive things happen. All I do is focus on the positive, and I hope this record does well.”

When talking to Ryan Seacrest in a new interview, teen queen Miley Cyrus dished on her Australian boyfriend Liam Hemsworth and his home land.

She said, “[Our relationship] is going strong as an ox. We’ve been together a year, so that’s pretty cool. He really is an awesome friend,” she says, explaining that he offers advice worth listening to.”

She said that things are going so well between the two of them that she would actually consider leaving the States and moving overseas to be with him. She added, “I like Australia. I’d hang out.”
