Slash Says There Could Be A Guns ‘N’ Roses Reunion
by Jeffrey Noble on Dec.30, 2011, under articles

The almighty fret shredder, Slash, says that he wants to make nice with Axl Rose before they are inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
He said, “When I see footage of Guns N’ Roses, I see that f***ing hunger and attitude. You could not f**k with those five guys. It was just raw. It was this lean, hungry thing on its way up. It was as sincere as any rock ‘n’ roll that I’ve ever heard, and I’m proud of that. The split between Axl and I was a quiet one. But because there was so much attention on the break-up – and are we going to get back together – it got built up into this monster that led to a kind of animosity that wasn’t the focus for me. Neither one of us wants to be down each other’s throats for no reason. At this point, I’m trying to put it to rest.”
The two haven’t talked to each other for years but Slash is willing to make up for it. This would be amazing if they where to join up at the induction ceremony and play a song.
Do you think they would actually get along? Do you want to see them get back together?

by Jed Eckert on Aug.30, 2010, under articles

Rocker Slash has just filed for divorce from his wife of nine years, Perla Ferrar.
According to the legal papers, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Slash cites the reason for the divorce as irreconcilable differences.
He is seeking joint physical and legal custody of the couple’s two children, London Emilio and Cash Anthony. Slash is willing to pay spousal support and the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in place.
They were married in October, 2001.
Axl Rose effs up another GNR reunion
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.18, 2010, under articles
Axl Rose misinterpreted a Twitter message from Slash, when referring to a benefit concert he [Slash] planned to benefit Haiti.
On the 13th, Slash tweeted, “Looking into organizing a big fund raiser concert for Haiti.” Apparently, in Axl language, he must’ve thought that Slash was looking for a way to get the band back together, so he responded with, “On a side note, pretty low n’ selfish usin’ the devastation in Haiti 2 start (false) reunion rumors. R hearts n’ prayers go out to the Haitian people.”
But do you know how huge that would be if GNR reformed to benefit the Haitians? Side note: Axl needs to learn how to read.
Slash refused over $100 million for Guns N’ Roses reunion
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.11, 2010, under articles
Slash spoke to “GQ”, where he confirmed that him and another former member of Guns N’ Roses turned down over $100 million to reunite. Axl anyone?
He said, “Things were so abrasive by the time I left. I’ve never thought, ‘Oh, wouldn’t it be nice to get back together.’ Because I know it wouldn’t! One of the two of us will die before a reunion.”
When asked specifically how much they were offered, he said, “I can’t remember exact numbers, but excessive. Seven, eight-digit kinds of things.” Afterward, he confirmed that it was over $100 million.
According to GigWise, Slash is sad that the world will never see the original lineup. He added, “It’s sad that something so good doesn’t exist anymore, even though we’re both still alive and on the same planet. When we were on stage we were a real force together. But it got to a point off stage where it was impossible for us to even be in the same room together and create any music.”
Slash defends Fergie’s version of ‘Paradise City’
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.16, 2009, under articles
Just last week, I posted the collaboration between Slash, Fergie, and Cypress Hill for the Guns N’ Roses hit, “Paradise City”. It seems that I wasn’t the only one upset that he’s allowing the butchering of classics.
He has defended his decision to bring her on as part of his upcoming album. He took to his Twitter page to say, “Until now, not too many people have heard Fergie sing Rock & Roll but she sings it better tha most dudes I know. She’s a screamer at heart.”
I’m not buying it, dude. Leave the classics in the eighties, please. There will never be another Axl Rose, even though you don’t like him. His vocals were classic and unique and you can’t even begin to replace that, especially with the likes of Fergie.
I still don’t like Fergie
by Roberta Ferguson on Nov.12, 2009, under articles
Slash hooked up with Cypress Hill and Fergie to do a remake of the famous Guns ‘N Roses song, “Paradise City” and you can listen to it right here!
Surely, as you may know, we do not own the rights to this song, but you can listen to the butchering of a classic, after the jump! (continue reading…)

Slash to give Lindsay Lohan guitar lessons?
by Roberta Ferguson on Aug.20, 2009, under articles
Lindsay Lohan says that she wants legendary guitarist Slash to teach her how to play the guitar. She says, “Can you maybe give me guitar lessons? I’ve lost any sort of magic touch I’ve ever had.”
She had previously taken guitar classes for her role in “Freaky Friday”.
We haven’t heard word yet as to whether or not he’ll take her up on the offer, but stay tuned. Think he should do it?
Velvet Revolver is leaving their singer to fate
by Roberta Ferguson on Jun.15, 2009, under articles
What is taking so long with Velvet Revolver coming out with some new music already?!?? I saw them in concert and the whole freaking thing was electric, all the way down from Slash’s guitar skills to Scott Weiland’s singing into a megaphone.
The band says that they are in no hurry to make anything new, insisting they will regroup “when it is supposed to happen.” So I guess they want a singer to just fall from the sky?
Bassist Duff McKagan said, “Either you’ve got the guy or you’ve not and we’ve worked with some really talented guys. The trick is getting the chemistry right. Slash is making his solo record, which he’s desperately needed to do for years, so I’ll keep working with my other band Loaded, he’ll do that and music will happen when it’s supposed to happen. The right guy will fall into our laps when he is supposed to and maybe that’s why it hasn’t happened yet.”
How about them all working together to give Axl Rose another try? Is that reaching?
Slash’s mother, Ola Hudson has passed away
by Roberta Ferguson on Jun.09, 2009, under articles
Slash’s mother, Ola Hudson, has passed away in Los Angeles after suffering a battle with lung cancer.
Hudson passed away at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica on Friday evening. She was only 62-years-old.
About five hours ago, Slash twittered, “Back in the studio today but I’m having a hard time concentrating.”
She is survived by sons Slash, 43, Albion, 38, and ex-husband, Anthony Hudson.
Our best wishes go out to Slash and his family in this tough time. May she rest in peace.
Matt Giraud Eliminated On ‘American Idol’ Tonight
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.29, 2009, under articles
It was Rat Pack Standards night on American Idol last night, with Jamie Foxx mentoring the wannabe singers.
Matt Giraud sang “My Funny Valentine” and even though he was saved by the first judges veto in American Idol history, he was given the boot.
What do you think? Was he given a raw deal or was it meant to be?
Oh yeah, Slash is mentoring next week’s show for ROCK WEEK. I may actually watch this one.
