Actress/singer Miley Cyrus will return to Saturday Night Live as a host and performer in October. Are you fans excited for her to perform AND host the show?
The former Hannah Montana actress first appeared on the popular series in 2011 and was featured in several skits, in which she poked fun at Lindsay Lohan and pal Justin Bieber. She also joked about her changing image from a Disney actress to a more risque star. She has previously joked about her own use of Salvia after that made headlines.
The appearance in October will mark the first time she has served as both host and performer. On Monday, Cyrus hit headlines when she released the video for her new song Wrecking Ball, in which she stripped off to her birthday suit and swung about on a chained metal ball.
The provocative promo shattered viewing records on website VEVO as 15 million fans checked it out in the first 24 hours – that beats the previous mark set in June by One Direction’s Best Song Ever. The video was directed by celebrity photographer and all-around creep Terry Richardson. You can watch the video here, but don’t say that you haven’t been warned. If your boss comes creeping behind you while watching the video, Earsucker cannot be held responsible if you lose your job because it isn’t safe for work. She’s naked on a wrecking ball, so watch that crap on your cellphone while huddling down in your car on your lunch break. Be sure to come back and let us know your thoughts on the video, though.
Comedian Jason Sudeikis appeared on CBS’ The Late Show with David Letterman to confirm the news that he is leaving Saturday Night Live, which airs on NBC. Interesting choice for an announcement that he’s leaving a competitor, no?
Letterman asked Sudeikis, “Now, how many years have you been regularly employed at ‘Saturday Night Live?’”
Sudeikis replied, “Regularly? If you could call it regularly employed, ten years. Ten years, yeah, yeah.”
Letterman asked, “And how long will a person continue with this, you suppose?”
To that, Sudeikis responded, “A person is general, or me specifically?”
Letterman said, “Whatever you like. Either way or both.”
Sudeikis said, “Well, I mean, a person can go as long as they want. I mean, Lorne has been kicking butt at it for 33 out of the 38 years, you know. But me, yeah, no, I’m definitely done.”
Letterman pushed, “Really? You’re leaving?”
Sudeikis responded, “Yeah, I’m going to leave. Yeah, I’m not coming back next fall.”
Curiously, Letterman asked, “Now, do they know that? I mean, have you run this by someone?”
Jokingly, Sudeikis replied, “I don’t know what kind of ratings you’re getting these days, but, I mean, you know, I would hope someone would, you know, would tell them after this point, yeah.”
Letterman laughed and said, “No, you should have called first.”
To that, Sudeikis said, “I should have, right?”
“The Voice” judge and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is set to host the January 26th episode of “Saturday Night Live”. Will you be tuning in? Apparently Adam is a man of many, many talents! (Of course WE knew that already!) OK! magazine has the scoop:
Not only a talented musician with Maroon 5, savvy mentor on The Voice and burgeoning acting career – he’s now taking on the helm of Saturday Night Live and will be making his hosting debut.
We can watch Adam in all his comedic glory on January 26 where the musical guest will be Kendrick Lamar.
It’s not the first time Adam would have been a guest on the show though as he was part of The Stand Off short co-starring Jeremy Renner earlier in the season and also digital short Iran So Far Away with Andy Sambert and Fred Armisen four years ago.
Will you be watching to see Adam take on hosting duties for the show? Hit the comments and let us know what you think of Adam taking the helm “Live!” on “Saturday Night!”
On Saturday night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, NBC announced in an on-air promo that Lindsay Lohan would be taking on the hosting duties. Her spot is set for March 3, 2012, as she presumably tries to make a comeback after all of her troubles.
Does that mean Lindsay is finally getting her life back on track? It’s about time!
After the promo aired, Lindsay took to her official Twitter page to say, “SNL! I love @NBC !!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Lindsay has already hosted the show three times previously. She hosted on May 1, 2004, May 21, 2005 and April 15, 2006 — so this will mark her fourth hosting appearance. She will be joined by musical guest, Jack White.
NBC’s official Twitter account confirmed the news. They tweeted, “That’s right: March 3rd, @lindsaylohan with musical guest Jack White!! See you then!”
According to TMZ, Lindsay was dying to do the show again so that she can work on kickstarting her comeback. Reportedly, she contacted the show’s executive producer, Lorne Michaels, directly to work something out with him.
Spies close to Lindsay say that she has always felt that he was like a father-figure to her over the years. In addition, she has always enjoyed doing the show, but she was merely waiting for the right time to make her return. It’s been six years since she last hosted! Are you looking forward to seeing Lindsay host the show again? What exactly is she promoting this time around?

Disney teen queen Miley Cyrus will take over hosting duties on Saturday Night Live tomorrow and we’ve got a photo from the set!
The photo above is from one of the rehearsals. The Strokes will be performing and unfortunately for fans Miley will not be performing, only hosting.
The show airs live tomorrow night at 11:35. Will YOU be watching?
Dana Carvey brought the Church Lady back to Saturday Night Live to roast a metric ton of celebrities. He mocked Charlie Sheen, Snooki, the shows 16 And Pregnant and Skins and of course, the Kardashian sisters — namely Kim Kardashian and her nude photo shoot for W magazine.
His first guests? “The holy trinity of sluts”, the Kardashians. Check out the video for all of the goodies, it’s hilarious:
He also mocked Snooki from Jersey Shore — and almost caved in to temptation with Justin Bieber! Ha!
Jim Carrey spoofed the new movie, Black Swan, on Saturday Night Live – and by the looks of things, he was simply hilarious.
The 48-year-old made a very unattractive woman as he strutted into the ballet studio saying, ‘Sorry I’m late. I had to go numbers 3 and 4′. When he sheds his jacket, instead of having angel wings he reveals chicken-wing like tattoos on his shoulder blades and made his presence felt.
He announced, ‘Get ready to rock, bitches’ as he started flailing around clumsily and looked more like a headless chicken running around rather than a graceful swan. When he is told to warm up in the ballet studio he says: ‘I’m already warm. I’ll all… swampy in my pants’.
As in the movie, Carrey seduces the director by sucking his finger provocatively but in Carrey-style then stuffs his fist in his mouth. When Carrey’s character is rejected for the lead role he looks into the camera and says, ‘Once you go Black.. Swan – you never go back… Swan’.
The actor then appears in the White Swan make-up and crown – but looks decidedly like a haggard drag queen.
