Suburgatory Recap: Season 1 Episode 11 'Out In The Burbs' 1/11/12

It’s an all new episode of Suburgatory, titled, Out In The Burbs and our sister site, Tragicomical, is covering the show live as it airs.

Poor Tessa, played by Jane Levy, always gets talked in to doing stuff around the school. This time Mr. Wolfe, played by Rex Lee, asks Tessa to take a new kid, Josh Sherman around school and she becomes increasingly uncertain what this new boy is all about. And of course Tessa not wanting anyone to feel bad or stand out in the school, she talks Mr. Wolfe into speaking with the student body for a special announcement. She never learns to keep her trap shut. Foot-in-mouth syndrome!

Will Tessa realize before it’s too late that this new kid is an undercover narcotics officer and not gay? Will Mr. Wolfe do his usual and misunderstand what Tessa is really trying to get at? Will George and Dallas be hooking up?

Synopsis:

When Tessa is asked to show new guy Josh Sherman around school, she becomes convinced that he’s gay, when in fact he’s an undercover narcotics officer. Lisa becomes deeply infatuated with Josh, and Tessa inadvertently convinces Mr. Wolfe to make special announcement to the student body. Meanwhile George re-evaluates his relationship with Dallas.

Suburgatory Recap Season 1 Episode 10 'Driving Miss Dahlia' 1/4/12

Tonight, ABC’s Suburgatory is back from hiatus after making us wait wayyyy too long for the show to return. Tonight’s episode is called Driving Miss Dahlia. It’s been too long since we got our Jeremy Sisto fix!

Tessa gets her license and is now legal to hit the road and Dalia needs her to drive her around so she can stalk the poor boy at school that she has a crush on. I think we have all had a friend like that when you start driving. Will Tessa end up with the boy? Will George be able to fit in suburbia finally?

ABC’s Synopsis:

New driver Tessa is hired by Dalia to help her stalk her crush, but the plan might backfire when Tessa discovers a mutual attraction with her nemesis’ obsession. Meanwhile, George jumps through hoops to join the local country club.

Suburgatory Live Recap Season 1 Episode 9 ‘The Nutcracker’ 12/7/11

Returning tonight for their Christmas episode is Suburgatory with more ‘burb drama! Last episode, Tess, played by Jane Levy, and Dallas Royce, played by Cheryl Hines, went to the big city to do some shopping and have fun after Tessa tricked Dallas into to take her to the city even though her father requested that she stay in the burbs that day. While Tess was training Dallas to eat pizza without a plate they ran into Tessa’s father George, played by Jeremy Sisto, kissing an unknown woman in the street!

Tessa was furious at George for one, keeping the fact that he had a woman in his life and two because he keeps telling Tessa she can’t go back to the city because there is nothing there to see. She feels like George is not being fair with their agreement. George tells Tessa the woman’s name is Zoe, played by Gloria Votsis, and that he was seeing her for a short while and didn’t know how to explain to her about Zoe. However, Tess is not the only one a bit hurt by George dating someone! Dallas has a bit of a crush on him.

Suburgatory Season 1 Episode 8 'Thanksgiving' Recap 11/23/11

Tonight we are back to the burbs in Suburgatory with Tessa and George for a special “Thanksgiving” episode. If you’ve missed last week’s episode, titled, Sweet Sixteen, then you can read the official recap here.

Tonight’s synopsis:

While on a girls day out in the city, Tessa and Dallas run into George making out with a woman; Lisa refuses to wear the dress her mom picked out.

RECAP:

This evening starts with Tessa reminiscing about memories with her dad and traditions. But George has new traditions in mind.

Tessa sees Lisa outside and she tries to talk to her about Thanksgiving. Lisa is upset because she has to wear a dress that her mother makes her wear that all the female cousins wear at Thanksgiving. Tessa tells Lisa to just tell her mom not to wear it.

Lisa tells her mother she is not wearing the dress and her mother has a total fit and send Lisa to her room to be a poop there.

Looks like this week’s episode holds a birthday party for our girl Tessa and she is actually allowing Dalia to be the big event planner. This should prove to be interesting on a large scale of richness!

Dallas convinces Tessa to let Dalia plan her 16th birthday party at the country club; Sheila Shay takes care of George when his back goes out.

Suburgatory Season 1 Episode 5 'Halloween' Recap

From the official synopsis from tonight’s episode, titled, Halloween:

Tessa channels her inner “suburban girl” for a Halloween costume, but it ends up spooking her friends and everyone at school since she reminds them of a recently “departed” resident of Chatswin. And George is determined to prove to Halloween-hater Dallas that being scared can be fun, but gets a scare of his own when Steven Royce (guest star Jay Mohr), Dallas’ husband, finally comes home from one of his many business trips.

Suburgatory Season 1 Episode 4 'Don't Call Me Shirley' Recap 10/19/11

Tonight is an all new episode of the ABC comedy Suburgatory and we’ll be covering the show live!

From the official synopsis of tonight’s episode, titled, Don’t Call Me Shirley:

The theft of Sheila’s Shirley Temple doll collection sparks fears of a neighborhood crime wave, but Tessa’s elation at such a gritty development in the suburbs is tempered when Dallas and Dalia are so scared of being robbed that they move into her house.

The show opens with Tessa and George eating breakfast at the table. Tessa hears sirens and goes outside to see what’s going on. Apparently, someone has stolen Sheila’s Shirley Temple doll collection. Lisa is super excited about the doll theft, calling it the most exciting thing that’s happened around there.

George is having lunch with Noah, talking about the doll theft. Noah tells George that he should be capitalizing on the theft. He says he’s an architect and Noah tells him about panic rooms. They are joined by Dallas, who wants a panic room. She’s not having lunch because she doesn’t eat in public.
