Madonna performed her butt off at the 2012 Super Bowl half-time show. If you blinked, then you likely missed M.I.A. giving the audience and the cameras the middle finger.

Now, the Queen of Pop is responding to the gesture, calling it childish and stupid. During a call in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Madge said, “I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it.”

She went on to say, “I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity, it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager…irrelevant thing to do…there was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point? It was just out of place.”

Singer-turned fashion mogul, Jessica Simpson was on hand at last night’s Super Bowl game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. She tweeted the above photo, saying, “Fun at the Super Bowl!”

We don’t think we’ve ever seen Jessica looking so happy and pretty! She looks good, doesn’t she? Her pregnancy is obviously working well for her — she’s glowing.

On January 31st, she tweeted, “My ass is gonna waddle to the Super Bowl…who’s comin’ with me????”

Ha. Is there video of said waddling? We want to see it! She looks super happy and we’re happy for her.

It’s been rumored that the star said that she is terrified of giving birth, but has scheduled a C-section. She doesn’t want to give birth all by herself, which I can’t say that I blame her for.

Either way, she looks great. Kudos.

Madonna kicked so much butt last night at her Super Bowl half-time performance. She sang a lot of her old hits and even mixed in her newest song, Give Me All Your Luvin’. In case you’ve missed it, you can watch the full video here.

The show was made that much better with the additions of Cee Lo Green, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. Well maybe not M.I.A., considering she’s got everyone’s panties in a bunch over her middle finger incident. But still, you can’t deny the fact that Madonna proved that she’s still worth whatever fans are shelling out for her shows. Her performance was grandiose, well executed and went on without a hitch. (Except for an almost stumble, but you try to walk on some bleachers in those boots.)

Elton John previously said on Good Morning America that Madonna would likely not be singing live, telling her to “lip sync good”. Still, even though she may have been lip-syncing, she still rocked the show. We would invite you to try and do better, at her age.

Howard Stern’s Super Bowl ad for America’s Got Talent made its debut tonight and if you’re not bringing the actual talent to the show, Howard has a surprise for you. The shock jock has a big hose and he won’t hesitate to use it — if you suck.

In December, it was announced that Howard would be replacing Piers Morgan as a judge on the show. It begins its seventh season premiere this summer. Will you be watching?

Do you want to see Howard break out the hose for those craptastic singers? This marks the show’s first season without Piers. In addition, the show’s creator, Simon Cowell, said that the show would be receiving a top-to-bottom makeover, in addition to a fourth judge.

Madonna came into tonight’s Super Bowl for her half-time performance and showed the world why she’s worth such expensive concert tickets. She told fans recently to scrape the money together, she’s worth it. We believe her now, after her spectacular medley of hits – old and new.

She took the stage and wow’ed everyone with hits like Like A Prayer, Give Me All Your Luvin’ and Vogue. It was an excellent performance and Madonna really brought it!

At one point during her performance, it looked like she lost her footing and was ready to fall — but she quickly regained her ground.

At the end of Like A Prayer, Madonna disappeared. She’s presumed to be getting beamed back to England to work on her British accent.

Madonna has revealed that her Super Bowl half-time show won’t be x-rated!

No wardrobe malfunctions! Take note, Janet!

During a recent interview with Jay Leno, she said, “Well for sure no nipples. I wasn’t gonna go there. I mean I don’t like to repeat myself or do what other people have done before me.”

She continued, “It’s the most nerve-wracking thing I’ve ever done. The Super Bowl is, like, kind of the holy of holies, it’s the sacred show of America. And I have to go on in the middle of that holy of holies and put on the greatest show that was ever been put on before.”

She added, “And here’s the crazy part – I have eight minutes to set up the stage and seven minutes to take it down. I’m not sure why I got cheated on the other side. I’m particularly nervous with a show like that because, for instance, they’re playing football all day so they don’t really have time to do a soundcheck. It’s a little bit like a circus act – get in there, roll out my carpet, put on my show and get the f**k off.”

Christina Aguilera made the lyrics fumble of the year, when she took to the stage at the Super Bowl to sing the National Anthem. She transposed some of the lyrics, but still belted out the song with ease. We still give her props, she was probably just nervous.

Now, she has apparently seen the funny side of the story in new ads for her upcoming show, The Voice.

The singer and fellow mentors Blake Shelton, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine all take turns in recalling their most embarrassing moments at the mic – and Aguilera offers up forgetting the lyrics to the Star Spangled Banner at the 2011 Super Bowl.

She says, “I think I’ve got one that’ll top it all… I’ve slipped a little, tripped a little but I forgot the lyrics to the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. I take the cake.”

It’s good that she has a sense of humor about the whole thing….Don’t you think?

As much as I wanted this month to be the Sarah Palin-free month, I couldn’t resist offering a hug to the folks over at Us Weekly for bashing the former VP candidate over some stupid remarks made in satire — to Christina Aguilera.

Yes, Christina really effed up The Star Spangled Banner during her Super Bowl performance. This much is true. But Us Weekly did much MUCH worse. They took the words of a satire website with fake quotes and published them as real. Way to go, guys!

And I quote:

“Public figures must be held accountable for what they say. Here’s another case of an airhead diva going on TV, running her mouth off, sounding like a fool. She doesn’t understand something so basic about America, yet we’re supposed to tolerate her diva behavior? Americans can see through that, Sean.”

She went on to “say”, “Unemployment is at nine percent, yet we have to suffer through a performance by a foreigner with a poor grasp of the English language? If I were President, I’d deport Ms. Aguilera back to wherever it is she’s from and give Amy Smart a call.”

That is just too hilarious. It’s satire, people!

We saw this post on whether or not Kim Kardashian could’ve possibly used a butt double for her Super Bowl commercial for Skechers, and it had us wondering.

She’s made all kinds of press over that ginormous backside, so it stands to reason that she might have used a body double for her commercial spot, right?

In the inset photo, you can see her butt from the commercial, showing someone who has a smaller behind. In the bigger image, you can see that her butt in real life is bigger than Texas.

Even though Fergie’s half-time performance sucked a huge one at the Super Bowl yesterday, she’s coming out in defense of failed National Anthem singer, Christina Aguilera!

In a new interview on the Dan Patrick Show today, Fergie said not to pick on Christina, because she’s only human! She also didn’t have the words to describe what Will.I.Am was wearing on his head!

She said that Christina might have been plagued by nerves and that she’s one of the best singers of our time. And she even called her own performance “pitchy” at times.

Christina Aguilera was chosen to sing the National Anthem at the 2011 Super Bowl and she did a great job — if it weren’t for that pesky mess up with the lyrics!

Pop Eater says that their spies on the scene in Dallas told of the crowd’s reaction to Christina’s flub. A source said, “This was the biggest performance of her career and she blew it. To mess up the lyrics was a disaster.”

I’m not sure if I would say that it was the biggest performance of her career, but she did blow it. They report:

Another source tells us the televised roars of the crowds weren’t as loud in person. “A hush fell over the stadium and everyone was looking at each other.”

After her performance, Christina went backstage where a snitch said that she was devastated that she messed up the lyrics to The Star Spangled Banner. The spy said, “She knows she messed up big time. It’s an honor to be asked and she let America and herself down. She doesn’t want anyone around her. Everyone is telling her she was great but she knows the truth.”

Christina released a statement on the kerfuffle, saying, “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through.”

It’s not the end of the world, right?

Justin Bieber stars in the new Best Buy commercial along with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. They’re pimping out the new Buy It Back program for Best Buy.

In the photo above, that’s also Bieber, responding to Ozzy’s question, “What’s a Bieber?” He said, lookin’ like an old dude, saying, “I dunno, kinda looks like a girl.”

The Black Eyed Peas really put on some kind of show for the Super Bowl tonight. And I’m trying to be kind here, but I don’t know how that’s going to work out for me.

The show was obviously all about the special effects and everything, but the performance was just really OFF. Watch the grainy footage of the half-time show below and let us know what you think.

Christina Aguilera was given the honor of singing the National Anthem for today’s Super Bowl — and she did a great job. Except for one thing, that is.

She bungled the lyrics to The Star Spangled Banner, transposing some of the words. Still, she went on like a professional and sang much to the crowd’s love.

Here’s the lyrics of the first verse:

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro’ the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watch’d, were so gallantly streaming?

If you’ve seen the Air Force ad that aired during Super Bowl XLIV, then you probably heard an instrumental version of the White Stripes song, “Fell In Love With A Girl”.

Carrie Underwood was practicing the National Anthem earlier today during her sound check. We’ve got the video as well as the audio, in case it gets yanked.

The country singer belted out “The Star-Spangled Banner” and it sounded great! The sound check also brought out the sign language interpreter as well as others to check the video. Check out the video after the jump! (continue reading…)
