Susan Boyle Upset On Australia Flight
by Jessica LeFevre on Nov.06, 2011, under articles

Susan Boyle was said to have upset fellow passengers on a flight to Australia on Friday. She was said to have become agitated on the flight and began to argue with the cabin crew.
I can imagine why she’d get cranky on a flight to Australia, that’s not a hop, skip or a jump away…. She boarded the jet on Friday for the land down under, for a promotional trip. But according to U.K. reports, she got super cranky on the plane.
Another traveler aboard the flight said, “She seemed pretty upset. And she seemed to be arguing with the crew. We got woken up two or three times in the middle of the night with her crying and quite loud, bad language.”
Her representative has confirmed that the Scottish singer was extremely tired during the flight, but also denied that she used foul language.

Susan Boyle Is Doing A Reality Show
by Jessica LeFevre on Sep.03, 2011, under articles

Susan Boyle is going to be the subject of a new reality television show. Reportedly, the Scottish songstress is going to be a part of a fly-on-the-wall documentary which will show the public how little she has changed since becoming a super star.
She rose to worldwide fame after competing in Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, and the footage will show her completing every day tasks such as doing the grocery shopping and going to church.
She has already been filming the show since January and it will include footage of her backstage ahead of her China’s Got Talent performance as well as recording a duet for charity with Peter Kay.
A source said, “Despite the fact she’s had this enormous success in record sales, she wanted to show her fans she’s still the same susan. She still lives in the same house and has a normal life. Since the beginning of 2011, she has been filmed for a fly-on-the-wall documentary about her life.”
The show will make its debut on UK television station ITV1 before she releases her album, Someone To Watch Over Me, in November.
U.K. viewers and fans, will you be watching Susan’s reality show? Sound off in the comments!

Susan Boyle to perform on Dancing With The Stars
by Jed Eckert on Oct.04, 2010, under articles

Susan Boyle is set to perform on Tuesday night’s live results show for Dancing With The Stars. Reportedly, the songbird will belt out a version of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.
As TMZ first reported … Boyle was blindsided moments before she was supposed to perform on “America’s Got Talent” last month … when she found out Lou Reed wouldn’t give her permission to sing his hit “Perfect Day.” Boyle was so devastated, she broke down in tears and caught the first plane back to the U.K.
I can’t wait to see her sing on the show. That’ll be the most interesting thing since Bruno-Gate. (Which was played out for the drama factor.)
Were you hoping she would sing I Dreamed A Dream?
Update: Her appearance on the show has been canceled due to Susan suffering from a severe throat infection. Get well soon!

Susan Boyle sues siblings for breach of privacy
by Roberta Ferguson on May.09, 2010, under articles

According to Contact Music, British singing sensation Susan Boyle has filed lawsuits against two of her brothers for breach of privacy.
Her brothers expressed concerns for her well-being, after she checked into rehab and was seen sucking her thumb after a promotional event. She had also raised health fears after collapsing at an airport in London.
Contact Music reports:
Two of her brothers, John and Gerry, have spoken out in the press to express concern for their sister, with Gerry even claiming that staff at her management company are “controlling” her and keeping “her family away”.
But Boyle is fuming that her brothers are talking to the media and has launched a breach of privacy lawsuit against them over the interviews, according to Britain’s Sunday Express newspaper.
You can’t blame your family for being concerned, but they should have voiced their concerns privately.
Snoop Dogg & Susan Boyle to duet?
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.12, 2010, under articles

Rapper Snoop Dogg says that he wants to show his softer side by recording a duet with Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle.
He said, “She’s a great artist. I’m looking forward to going into the studio with her. Why not? We’re going to get our minds together and figure out what we’re going to sing about. I’m down with that.”
Are you down with that? I’d love to hear their collaboration.
Rage Against The Machine to perform with Susan Boyle?
by Roberta Ferguson on Mar.30, 2010, under articles

In what would be an odd collaboration, the guys in Rage Against The Machine say that they want to perform with Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle.
The rockers recently had a campaign to keep Simon Cowell’s X-Factor winner Joe McElderry from reaching the top spot, and instead had fans purchase their song, Killing In The Name.
Singer Zack De La Rocha said, “Simon [Cowell] seemed to think it was a bullying campaign but the truth is the British people wanted a change. I don’t think anybody has heard anything of that Joe guy since Christmas, but we have nothing against him. The truth is Simon’s shows occasionally produce talent. We love Susan Boyle, she is hot. To show there are no hard feelings we would like her to perform with us on stage this summer. She is a great vocalist and we would love to perform Killing In The Name with her. Everybody knows her in the U.S. and she can add vocals to anything. It would be an honor for us.”
Teen charged in Susan Boyle break-in
by Roberta Ferguson on Mar.15, 2010, under articles
While Susan Boyle was away recording her part in Simon Cowell’s charity single for Haiti, Everybody Hurts, her home was being broken into. She arrived back at her West Lothian home to find the intruder.
A source said, “Susan got home to find an intruder halfway up her stairs. She was with another female, who was dropping her off, it is just as well she was.”
The teenager ran past Susan and made a break for it.
A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said, “A 16-year-old youth has been arrested and charged in connection with a theft that happened at a property in Blackburn.”
Adam Lambert disses Susan Boyle?
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.23, 2010, under articles
Uh oh! Apparently Adam Lambert has a little bit of a bone to pick with Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle.
When speaking to a magazine recently the American Idol singer said that he didn’t like her debut album. Prior to that, he said that the UK is more tolerant with homosexuality and androgyny.
Speaking to the leading gay monthly, the performer said: “I just think that you guys in the UK are way ahead in terms of tolerance. It’s really interesting. In the UK and in Europe it’s less of an issue because people are more comfortable with their sexualities.
“And not just the gay thing, but even playful things, like the concept of androgyny. That is something that generally many Americans are uncomfortable with.”
He later went on to discuss Susan Boyle, who kept him off the top spot in the charts. He said: “I’m happy for her success, but that album is terrible. Wild Horses is the one that just made me laugh the hardest. I just died when I heard it, I was crying with laughter. It was the most horrendous, sacrilegious treatment of that song!”
Video: Stephen Colbert disses Susan Boyle at the Grammys
by Roberta Ferguson on Feb.01, 2010, under articles
At last night’s Grammy Awards, Stephen Colbert opened the show by razzing just about everybody in attendance, and even one who wasn’t there, Susan Boyle.
He started off by saying, “We are here tonight to celebrate what I believe is our most precious right, the right of celebrities to congratulate each other.”
Then, after trying to be “cool” for his daughter, he hit out at Susan Boyle. He said, “Congratulations to all of you, but what I want to know is — Why isn’t Susan Boyle here? I mean, she accomplished something huge this year. You all may have brought the sexy back, but she sent it away again! No thanks Sexy, we’re just going with good singing this year.”
He added, “Seriously, you may be cool here but this year your industry was saved by a 48 year old Scottish cat lady in sensible shoes. So, give it up for Susan Boyle! congratulations, Susan!”

Elaine Paige calls Susan Boyle a ‘virus’
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.28, 2010, under articles
Susan Boyle’s idol, Elaine Paige calls the Scottish singer a “virus” and has dismissed her method of rising to fame.
Paige said, “I don’t particularly feel any pride for her – I’m sure she is proud of what she has done. It’s all about turning someone into an immediate celebrity at the expense of longevity and working hard and experience. Susan Boyle is doing terribly well considering she literally came to the attention of the world with the advent of Youtube. She was like a virus really that spread across the world in a nanosecond.”
She added, “She is a girl with no experience of anything to do with theatrics, the music business, or art in any way. Longevity is gained through knowledge, experience and effort so it will remain to be seen (if she will last). When I started (my career) YouTube didn’t exist but even then with 15 years of experience prior to my success (starring in the musical) Evita it was difficult, so I admire the way she has handled her sudden success. Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor just take a bunch of people from real life who think they can sing and try and turn them into overnight ‘stars’ with a couple of songs. It’s not entertainment.”
Snap. But why so mean? Susan has had nothing but love for Elaine.
Update: Via Elaine Paige’s official Facebook, she has clarified her statements:
“I was dismayed to read the remarks attributed to me today in the Daily Mail which were incomplete and misinterpreted.
I am a huge supporter of Susan Boyle and admire what she has achieved; she has handled the extraordinary situation of being catapulted to worldwide stardom with tremendous strength, charm and dignity and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her on the ITV special we recorded together only last month.
I have always said it’s very hard for someone to be fast-tracked to stardom without any prior experience – I know this as it happened to me when ‘Evita’ opened and I found it extremely difficult in the beginning; today, of course, it’s much harder with the phenomenon of the internet – Facebook, YouTube etc – it seems it only takes minutes for fame to spread around the world – and that’s why I used the word ‘virus’! I wasn’t referring to Susan herself; I was referring to the speed of her fame spreading as fast as a worldwide viral marketing campaign.”

Kesha bribed Prince’s gardener with five dollars
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.25, 2010, under articles
Before Kesha got a record deal, she was trying to slip her demo to anyone who would listen, including the Purple One, Prince.
She reportedly paid Prince’s gardener five dollars to allow her inside his house so that she could leave her demo there, wrapped up in a nice purple bow.
Unfortunately for her, the “Purple Rain” singer never called her. Unfortunately for him, she blew up on the charts regardless.
She has most recently knocked Susan Boyle off of the charts with her new album, “Animal”. Of that, she said, “I feel kind of bad, but Susan had six weeks at number one. That’s a really long time.”

Fame has made Susan Boyle crazy.
Just a day before the singing sensation had a meltdown which consisted of singing into a mop, she was swearing up a storm at a local cafe.
A cafe staff member said, “When my boss came in with a delivery, I was sitting talking to her and Susan shouted over, ‘You better not be f**king talking about me.’”
Her mouthpieces are currently doing damage control, as she has since apologized over the incident.

50 Cent says that he wants to work on a track with Susan Boyle. Craziness!
He says that he is a huge fan of Susan’s and would like the chance at a collaboration with her.
He said, “She’s got an amazing voice, and together we’d get everyone dancing. I’m always looking to do something new and she’s cool, so I’ll ask somebody to let her know. I got to get her on a track, for real. We’d make a hit.”

He called her audition “incredible” and said that it mesmerized him.
He said, “Susan Boyle is incredible. Somebody told me about the show and I said, ‘I have got to see this – ‘I Dreamed A Dream’, are you kidding me? I put it on and she was fantastic. The people on that panel were in tears. When Susan leans into it, she’s great.”

Susan Boyle coming to ‘America’s Got Talent’?
by Roberta Ferguson on Jun.17, 2009, under articles
We have good reason to believe that “Britain’s Got Talent” star Susan Boyle might be heading stateside, if she’s well enough.
She’s had a quick rise to fame, but it comes with a price: all of the attention hoisted upon a 48-year-old woman and paparazzi are taking her photos constantly. I can’t imagine what that must be like. But she is deserving of her new-found fame, she’s an excellent singer and hopefully she’ll make us swoon with her voice over here in the U.S., as well.
Piers Morgan says, “If she’s up for it and she is well enough. Our feeling is she probably will. Absolutely! Susan singing live to 25 million Americans? That would be great!” He added that, “She still gets a bit tired sometimes, but she is 48.”
I can’t wait to see her sing here, live. She’s awesome!
