Susan Boyle is exhausted
by Roberta Ferguson on Jun.15, 2009, under articles
“Britain’s Got Talent” runner-up Susan Boyle is exhausted!
I can imagine it’s been such a whirlwind for the singer that she rose to instant fame after her performance of “Cry Me A River”, that it’s got to be hard on her.
She pulled out of Sunday’s “Britain’s Got Talent” tour performance in Manchester, according to TMZ. The people in charge are claiming that she pulled out to have just a “one off rest day.”
Get your rest, Susan, your fans will wait.
Susan Boyle Hospitalized After Emotional Breakdown
by Roberta Ferguson on Jun.01, 2009, under articles
“Britain’s Got Talent” runner-up and songbird, Susan Boyle, has been hospitalized after suffering from an emotional breakdown.
Boyle was admitted into a private clinic on Sunday and is being treated for exhaustion.

Boyle’s spokesperson said, “Police were called to doctors assessing a woman under the Mental Health Act. The woman was taken voluntarily by ambulance to a clinic. At the request of doctors, police accompanied the ambulance.”
Earlier today, judge Piers Morgan said that “she is fine” and has just “gone in for some rest.” I can imagine it was a lot of pressure surrounding her on whether or not she would take the BGT crown.
Morgan added, “She had too long to wait between the audition show and the final, and the pressure just builds and builds and builds. It’s been crazy, she has gone from anonymity to being the most-downloaded woman in history. But nobody, and I stress this, has had to put up with the kind of attention that Susan has. And no one could have predicted it – so we entered uncharted territory.”
Get well Susan!
Susan Boyle Drops The F-Bomb?
by Roberta Ferguson on May.27, 2009, under articles
According to sources, after Piers Morgan lavished praise on “Britain’s Got Talent” competitor Shaheen Jafargholi, which caused Susan Boyle to break out with the F-word in anger.

She reportedly shocked a room full of 150 guests at the Wembley Plaza Hotel when she stuck two fingers up at the television and said, “F*** off”, before stomping out.
One guest claimed, “Everyone was stunned by her reaction.”
Her spokesman denies the claims, saying that she left the hotel bar before Shaheen even took the stage. She says, “Susan was in the bar with friends but was getting hassled by a journalist. The four of them left before Shaheen’s live performance to watch it in the room instead.”

Susan Boyle Sings ‘Memories’ On ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ – Video
by Roberta Ferguson on May.25, 2009, under articles
Susan Boyle may have wowed audiences with her version of “Cry Me A River” and “My Heart Will Go On”, but this most recent episode of the show will leave people wondering about our favorite diamond in the rough.

She sang the song “Memories” from Cats, and almost started off with a little bit of a shriek. Don’t get me wrong, though, I still love her voice and want her to succeed.
Check out her performance:
Your thoughts? Whatever happens, just like Adam Lambert, she’s going to have a nice career ahead of her. So what, she had an off-night, it happens, right?

Susan Boyle Performs ‘The Way We Were’ At 22!
by Roberta Ferguson on May.03, 2009, under articles
Susan Boyle was performing, even at the young age of 22. The Daily Record has uncovered a new older recording of Susan belting out the Barbra Streisand song, “The Way We Were” in 1984.

This was recorded ten years before the singing sensation took singing lessons.
So youthful! A great singer, even in her earlier days!

Piers Morgan Defends Susan Boyle Over Backlash
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.30, 2009, under articles
“Britain’s Got Talent” judge Piers Morgan is striking back at all of the backlash that Susan Boyle has been receiving lately.

He wrote, “The Susan Boyle backlash has already started, and pretty unedifying it is too. She’s had a ‘terrible’ makeover, she’s ‘cracking up’, she ‘lied’ about not being kissed and so on. It’s so typically British to do this, and so utterly pathetic.”
He added, “Susan is a lovely, decent, church-going, modest and kind woman who is dealing with becoming the hottest star on the planet with remarkable patience and good humor. She is a fabulous advertisement for our country, and her success is a wonderful testament to the powers of persistence, positive thought, and living a dream, however unlikely the chances of realizing it. Those who seek to knock her down just when that dream finally comes true in the most sensational fashion possible, are nothing but cruel, heartless toads. They should just all shut up, give Susan a break, and let her enjoy her extraordinary moment in the global spotlight.”
Go Piers! I couldn’t agree more. Let Susan have these moments when people are recognizing her and putting her up on a pedestal. She deserves it, and a record deal, even if she doesn’t win the show.

by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.27, 2009, under articles
Ten-year-old ballerina and promising singer, Hollie Steel, performed “I Could’ve Danced All Night” on the third episode of “Britain’s Got Talent” on April 25, 2009.
All of the judges had nothing but nice things to say, except for Simon not liking her ballerina outfit.
Think she’ll be some stiff competition for Susan Boyle?
Susan Boyle Sings ‘I Don’t Know How To Love Him’ In 1995 – Video
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.27, 2009, under articles
Fourteen years ago, singing sensation Susan Boyle appeared on Michael Barrymore’s show “My Kind Of People”. She sang the song, “I Don’t Know How To Love Him” and did a fantastic job.

The host of the show, however, was intent on making fun and trying to get a peek up her skirt. At the end of the show, he planted a huge kiss on her.
I just don’t know what to make of this except for calling it a travesty. What a shame that she couldn’t have enjoyed the stardom at a much younger age, because this fool wanted to act like a jerk.
What a sham!

Simon Cowell Tells Susan Boyle Not To Be A Gimmick
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.27, 2009, under articles
“American Idol” and “Britain’s Got Talent” judge Simon Cowell has told Susan Boyle that she should not become a gimmick, so that people won’t see her and ignore the talent she possesses.

Boyle became an overnight sensation, despite her frumpy appearance. What worries Cowell the most is that since becoming a household name, the press might only report the dirty gossip on the singer.
He says, “The problem is with all the substories about the cat and how she looks. I’m tired of hearing about the way she looks or the kissing, or this or that. Susan mustn’t become a gimmick.”
She’s no gimmick and the lady can sing, but there have been people digging on her because of how she changed her looks. I know that we all fell in love with her voice and the image she represented, but a woman’s got to take care of herself.
So what if she changed her clothes and dyed her hair? The talent is still there.

Shaheen Jafargholi Performs ‘Who’s Loving You’ on Britain’s Got Talent
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.21, 2009, under articles
Youngster Shaheen Jafargholi performed “Valerie” by The Zutons on “Britain’s Got Talent“, which really didn’t please Simon Cowell. He stopped the performance and asked Jafargholi and asked what else he could sing.
So he belted out “Who’s Loving You” by Michael Jackson and received a standing ovation from the crowd. Cowell commented that this one song “could change your life and this may be the start of something special.”
Think he’ll give Susan Boyle a run for her money?

by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.20, 2009, under articles
“Britain’s Got Talent” star Susan Boyle appeared on “Larry King Live”, when King asked her to sing for them. She chose the “Titanic” song, “My Heart Will Go On” and she was just amazing.
Piers Morgan said it was “unbelievable” and invited her out to dinner.
Susan Boyle Has A Bodyguard?
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.20, 2009, under articles

Susan Boyle is the lady that instantaneously shot to fame when she belted out “I Dreamed A Dream” on “Britain’s Got Talent” recently.
Stardom comes with it’s price, as well. Apparently the singer has gotten herself a bodyguard, due to all of the awaiting paparazzi and fans.
An insider says, “The coverage Susan got last week was incredible. She was on all the front pages and every TV show, it really gave the ratings a boost.”
Boyle is planning on singing “Whistle Down The Wind” for the next round of “Britain’s Got Talent”. She already counts Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher as fans, with Demi saying, “She brought me to tears!”
Think she’ll win the show?

Susan Boyle Sings ‘Cry Me A River’ – Audio
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.16, 2009, under articles

The Daily Record unearthed this goodie featuring Susan Boyle singing “Cry Me A River“.
This recording was made in 1999 for a charity and only 1,000 copies were pressed.
So amazing!
I sincerely hope that she gets a record deal, her voice is so smooth and sultry. If I were Simon, I would have stopped “Britain’s Got Talent” right then and there and declared her the winner.
Their reactions of her prior to her performance were less than believing and downright rude. But when she belted out “I Dreamed A Dream”, all bets were off. You go girl!
