It has never been a secret that Mel Gibson has an anger management problem, but he appeared on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on Friday to discuss his ongoing feud with screenwriter Joe Eszterhas. Since the scandal first broke, Mel has kept mum on the subject of his temper, but he joked with the talk show host, “Maybe you don’t know this about me, but I’ve got a little bit of a temper.”

Gibson revealed that he was upset that his former pal recorded his tirade during a vacation at his Costa Rican home. Eszterhas released the rant, of which his son recorded using his iPhone. This followed Eszterhas reprimanding the actor for his behavior in front of his son. Previously, Eszterhas wrote a letter criticizing Gibson for being an anti-Semite. Gibson retorted by claiming that Eszterhas was just upset that Warner Brothers turned down his Maccabees script.

Gibson told the talk show host, “Has it really come to the place where you can’t blow off steam in your own home, even if you’re justified? If he put half as much time and effort and creativity and imagination into a screenplay, which he was supposed to write, as he did into that letter, we wouldn’t be having this conversation… It’s kind of like you build a house, you hire a guy to put a roof on it, he comes over and eats lunch and talks about the roof, and then you get rained on all night. Wouldn’t you be kind of peeved?”

Lindsay Lohan appears on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight, but in a preview for her appearance, she talked about her jail sentence.

She was given 120 days in jail, along with 360 hours of community service as a result of violating her probation. On her taped appearance, she told the talk show host that she is taking responsibility for her actions.

According to reports, Lindsay is set to begin her community service at a Women’s Center in L.A., this week. Lindsay said that she is not going to make excuses for her actions and is ready to accept the consequences of violating her probation.

Another part of her community service requires that she spend 120 hours at the County Morgue, but we can’t imagine that sounds too thrilling for her.

Former Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien is on Twitter. With the bio, “I had a show. Then I had a different show. Now I have a Twitter account”, the funny man made his first tweet today.

He said, “Today I interviewed a squirrel in my backyard and then threw to commercial. Somebody help me.”

Conan O’Brien is a stand-up guy, especially when it comes to his ousted “Tonight Show” crew. Apparently, NBC did not cut them in on the receiving end of cash when it came to the negotiations.

Conan has taken the helm at shelling out the dough to the parties who got screwed in the deal. A source close to production said that “The Tonight Show” stagehands were not covered in the severance plan.

The talk show host has agreed to pay his nearly 50 person crew at least six weeks of severance.

Way to go CoCo! Staying classy even after the fact.

Former “Tonight Show” host Conan O’Brien is reportedly back in bed with NBC, the network who left him in a lurch over the late night talk show for Jay Leno.

According to TMZ, the network has picked up an hour-long pilot produced by Conan’s company, Conaco. The show is called “Justice” and is centered around a Supreme Court justice who resigns from the Court to open his own private practice.

Interesting how these things play out. I still wonder if he’s going to jump ship to Fox as soon as September rolls around and he’s a completely free agent.

Jay Leno took it easy on Conan O’Brien last night on his first appearance post-”Tonight”-gate. After Conan took off, I figured Jay would take a few easy potshots at him, but that hasn’t been the case. Not yet, anyways.

Instead of taking a verbal hit at the raven haired talk show host, he aimed at politics, and of course, NBC. Why would Leno want to take a hit at someone who couldn’t fire back, though? After signing a deal with NBC, Conan isn’t allowed to disparage the network until at least September.

It was already rumored that former “Tonight Show” host Conan O’Brien would be jumping ship to Fox, but now we’re hearing that he is already in talks with the network.

According to the Business Insider, Conan is gearing up to start off negotiations with Fox behind closed doors. Reportedly, at the center of the talks is whether or not Conan will be allowed to own his show or if he will have to split ownership with the network.

A source said, “One thing’s for sure. He won’t do anything that is not a high-quality show.”

Conan is also taking offers from other networks, such as HBO. He has the biggest wallet wins!

To further screw with NBC, “Tonight Show” host Conan O’Brien spent an extravagant amount of money on the show’s newest character, the Bugatti mouse.

Along with that, he got the rights to air the classic recording of the Rolling Stones’ song, “Satisfaction”. Remember kiddies, NBC has to pay royalties whenever this song plays on this bit. Total cost of this expensive bit? $1.5 million!!!

Conan O’Brien isn’t taking any of this NBC hoopla laying down. Sure, they may have him contractually obligated not to diss them, but Conan bad-mouthed the network last night anyways, only in Spanish.

First, he talked about the things he would like to catch up on, now that he’ll have more time on his hands. Then he proceeded to refer to NBC, saying in Spanish, “NBC Is Run by Brainless Sons of Goats Who Crap Trouble”.

Conan O’Brien has been officially offered a spot on the next season of “Dancing With The Stars”.

He said, “This is real. I have been invited to compete on ‘Dancing With The Stars’. There are so many jobs to choose from. I don’t know which one to do. I thought, why not let the viewers decided. Go to TonightShow.com and register your vote. My future is literally in your hands.”

But on a somewhat serious note, he said, “Of course, this has been a stunning couple of days for me, I have to tell you. It is a bit hard to accept that soon I won’t have a show, but Snookie and The Situation [of MTV's 'Jersey Shore'] will. Only in America.”
