Demi Lovato Confirmed For 3rd Season Of The X Factor USA

The cheapest judge on “The X Factor” panel, Demi Lovato, is said to have signed on for a second season of the show. Earsucker has confirmed that Demi will be making her return to the judges’ table for the hit singing competition’s third season.

Demi said, “I am so excited to return as a judge and mentor on The X Factor. Last season was an unbelievable experience and I really enjoyed developing personal relationships with the contestants and the panel. I look forward to taking my previous experience and applying it to make this season even better!”

Simon Cowell chimed in to say, “I couldn’t be happier that Demi wants to come back this year. She’s a superstar in her own right and was a fantastic mentor last year. Even though she can be really, really annoying, I truly enjoyed working with her and so did the artists. I’m especially pleased she’s back, even during her world tour!”

FOX’s President of Alternative Entertainment, Mike Darnell, added, “We couldn’t be more excited for Demi to return to The X Factor next season. She’s an incredible mentor, an insightful judge and we know she’ll bring her amazing energy, enthusiasm and charm to the panel. She also isn’t afraid to stand up to Simon or say what’s on her mind – and we can’t wait to see more of that honesty and fun next year.”

Are you excited to see Demi return to the competition this coming season? Who do you think will be sitting next to her at the judges’ table?

The X Factor USA 2012 Season 2 Top 6 Rankings (Photo)

On tonight’s episode of “The X Factor USA”, two more contestants bit the dust in a double elimination. It was a shocking elimination for both of the competitors — as they were both good performers. In case you’ve missed the episode, you can read our full recap here.

Paige Thomas was the first contestant on the chopping block, with Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian announcing that America voted her off out of the competition. She changed up her routine last night and RickRolled the nation in a nice performance. Alas, it wasn’t enough to save her from America’s votes and thus, she was sent packing.

In a shocking turn, top three contender Vino Alan was placed in the bottom two alongside Diamond White. Neither performance was as bad as Cece Frey’s rendition of “Lady Marmalade”, yet some nefarious voters keep voting her back in. She was in the bottom two three times already and we were sure that Simon Cowell was right in telling her to pack her bags.

In the sing-off, Diamond kicked things off with Beyonce’s song “I Was Here”. Afterward, Vino belted out the lyrics to “Trouble” by Ray LaMontagne. In the end, three of the four judges voted to save Diamond and send Vino packing.

In the rankings, Carly Rose Sonenclar retained her lead, with Tate Stevens close by in second place. In third, Emblem3 had risen in the ranks, leaving fourth place to Fifth Harmony, who made a nice jump. Cece Frey made a nice jump, as well, but we’re crediting that to “Vote For The Worst” and not actual talent. Diamond fell a notch and rounded out the top six competitors.

What did you think of tonight’s elimination? Were you shocked to see Paige Thomas and Vino Alan eliminated?

The X Factor USA 2012 Season 2 Rankings (Photo)

Tonight on The X Factor USA 2012, there was a Thanksgiving double elimination episode. The show first claimed Britney Spears’ team member Arin Ray. Afterward, Cece Frey vied against Beatrice Miller in the final sing-off of the evening. Cece sang “Because Of You” by Kelly Clarkson and Beatrice performed “White Flag” by Dido. Unfortunately for Beatrice, her awesome performance was not enough to keep her in the competition. Ugh.

Last week we saw the double elimination of Jennel Garcia and Lyric145 and this week, Beatrice Miller and Arin Ray both left the competition. As you can see from our rankings graph, Cece Frey and Fifth Harmony both dropped in rank, while Paige Thomas and Diamond White both rose in the rankings. Emblem3 stayed the same from last week, along with Vino Alan. It was a shocker in the end, but we are happy to announce that per the viewer votes, Carly Rose Sonenclar came out on top with country singer Tate Stevens in second place in the rankings.

Jennel Garcia Responds To ‘The X Factor’ Elimination

Jennel Garcia Responds To 'The X Factor' Elimination

On Thursday night’s elimination episode of “The X Factor USA”, we saw the elimination of Lyric145 and also rock singer Jennel Garcia. Jennel sang “The Reason” by Hoobastank for her sing-off against Paige Thomas, who performed “Paradise” by Coldplay. Jennel’s performance was not enough to keep her in the competition — and we are sad to see her go. In case you’ve missed the show, you can read our full recap here.

In a new interview after her elimination from the reality TV competition, Jennel spoke of her mentor Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell. It was no secret that Simon was bullying Demi with regard to her vote to keep or send Jennel home. Mario Lopez was pushing for Simon to give his vote first, considering that it’s customary for the act’s mentor to go last. Still, Demi voted to send Paige home and thus, wanted Jennel to remain in the competition (or for the vote to go into a deadlock in the case of a tie).

When asked how she felt when she found that Demi was the only one to vote to keep her, she said, “Well, it feels great that my mentor chose me, because the bottom two were two people in her category.” She went on to say, “She loves both of us and she was the one who worked with both of us and knows what the both of us are capable of doing, so the fact that she chose me helped me get through this and so much.”

She added, “Because out of all the four judges, she’s the one who knew the most about me, and she chose me. So that’s amazing. That means so much to me.”

Were you saddened to see Jennel Garcia get eliminated on Thursday’s episode of “The X Factor”? Does Paige Thomas deserve to be in the top ten instead? Who do you think will win the second season of the show?

It was double elimination night on tonight’s episode of “The X Factor USA 2012″. On season two, we have already said goodbye to quite a few talented acts. Last week, the show introduced us to the rankings for each individual act. This week, the show brought back the rankings along with eliminating two favorites.

Rising in rank over last week are Emblem3, Cece Frey, Beatrice Miller and Arin Ray. Falling in rank are Fifth Harmony, Diamond White and Paige Thomas.

Last week we saw the elimination of “Mr. Entertainment” Jason Brock. This week, at the beginning of the show, Lyric 145 were eliminated. That was followed by a sing-off between Paige Thomas and Jennel Garcia. Unfortunately for Jennel, she did not make it into the top ten competitors.

Britney Spears reacted to the eliminations on her official Twitter account, saying, “@jennelgarcia @lyric145 So sad to see u all go, u ALL are true talents. Keep doing what u do, u’ve got a fan in me :) Xo”.

Khloe Kardashian Talks Hosting ‘The X Factor USA’

Khloe Kardashian Talks Hosting 'The X Factor USA'

If you’ve been watching the second season of “The X Factor”, then you’re slowly starting to see Khloe Kardashian’s hosting duties improve. She started out on the show looking nervous, unprepared and jumpy, but she is easing into it. It’s nothing that she can’t perfect with a little bit of practice, according to the reality star.

She said in a new interview, “Mario is a pro at what he does. He has, like, 500 hosting jobs. So I love that. It’s my first time ever hosting, and then to host live TV and to host such a huge show, it’s like a security blanket to have Mario here with me.”

The live shows were pushed forward, not giving her that much time to prepare for her first ever live hosting gig. She said, “Due to the Giants winning, I think. Whatever, I’m not a baseball person.”

Still, there was something else that could have stopped her from bringing her A-game to the show. She said, “The teleprompter is so far away – um, and I didn’t realize I needed contacts or glasses. I had to literally, the morning of, go get contacts, so I was terrified I would not be able to read the teleprompter, because at rehearsals, I couldn’t.”

She added, “You get into the flow of it, and I don’t want to sound too read-y, so sometimes I do like to just kind of let it go. It’s a learning process, I think. You know, practice makes first.”

What do you think of Khloe’s hosting abilities?

Britney Spears Returning For The X Factor’s 3rd Season; Mothers Her Contestants

Britney Spears Returning For The X Factor's 3rd Season; Mothers Her Contestants

In case you were curious as to whether Britney Spears would be returning for another season of “The X Factor USA”, then you’re in luck! Britney has confirmed that she will be returning for the show’s third season. Next year, she will be resuming her duties on the show, alongside L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell. Are you excited?

At an event for the show on Monday night, Britney spoke of her future plans on the show. With regard to whether or not she would be returning, she said, “Yes, I definitely will. It’s a lot of fun. It’s different from anything I’ve ever done before, but it’s a lot of fun. We get to sit back and get to be entertained and it’s just wonderful. It’s really cool.”

Still, she has to continue the push to get her competitors into the Finals this season. With the kickoff of the first set of live shows last week, Britney had to say goodbye to Diamond White after she fared off against Arin Ray.

When talking of mentoring her group of Teens, she said, “They’re like my little children and they’re so young. And it’s just like when you see them do so well, my heart is like out there for them and it’s a really hard decision. It’s a really hard thing to do.”

Her fellow judge Demi Lovato says that she maintains a certain realism with her competitors. She said, “I’m spending all the time that I have with them basically critiquing them and getting them ready for the show. I don’t really have a lot of time to sit and chitchat with them. So any second that I get with them, I’m like, ‘This is what you need to do. Practice your pitch. Do this. Bye, have a good show.’ It’s so rapid, but I do have a little time during interviews and stuff when we do get a little closer and open up. So it’s nice. I do get to spend a little time with them.”

Britney’s protege Beatrice Miller said of her mentor, “Britney is the best, I had all her music growing up so to be able to ask her advice is amazing. She’s so nurturing. I was having a lot of trouble with my voice this morning and she totally understood. She totally respected the fact that I was unwell and said ‘Just do whatever you feel is necessary.’”

Who are you rooting for on this season of the show? Stay tuned as we offer up our live coverage of the show tonight as it airs!
