Rachel Crow's 'I'd Rather Go Blind' X Factor Performance Video 11/9/11

Singing last on tonight’s episode of The X Factor is Rachel Crow, singing I’d Rather Go Blind by Etta James from the Cadillac Records Soundtrack. What a good song for Rachel! She’s a gem, isn’t she?

You can tell that Simon is really enjoying the performance, along with the audience.

L.A. Reid said that up until now he wasn’t sure that she was a true contender, but tonight she proved that she has her eye on the target. Nicole Scherzinger said she’s happy that Simon listened to her and took her advice. Rachel said that she picked the song this week. She said her performance was amazing.

Singing in tenth place on tonight’s episode of The X Factor is Chris Rene, performing his own version of Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio from the soundtrack to Dangerous Minds.

The Stereo Hogzz's 'Ain't No Other Man' X Factor Performance Video 11/9/11

Performing eighth on tonight’s episode of The X Factor is The Stereo Hogzz performing Ain’t No Other Man by Christina Aguilera from the soundtrack to Get Smart.

I can’t say that I was a fan of the song choice, as it didn’t really showcase their true singing talent.

L.A. Reid said last week was tough, but they did a song that he wasn’t familiar with. Nicole Scherzinger said “Bananas”. She said it was her favorite performance from them yet. Kudos to Paula on the choreography because that was slick.

Simon Cowell said Nicole was digging deep with her advice. He said their work ethic is amazing. He said they aren’t performing the record that they would make. He said they have to become less cabaret and more performing artists.

Paula Abdul disagreed and said it’s fitting for Movie Week. She gave kudos to the lead of the group, Trey.

It’s such a timely performance, considering that Conrad Murray was just convicted of manslaughter in the Michael Jackson case.

Nicole Scherzinger said watching how he works, he was a champion tonight. Paula Abdul said that level of focus that he has creates superstars. Congratulations.

Simon Cowell said this is so irritating, that he’s like the cat that got the cream. He said he likes that every star has to have a work ethic and that Astro is incredibly creative. He said Astro has the X Factor.

Lakoda Rayne sang fifth on tonight’s performance episode of The X Factor. They sang I Wanna Love Somebody Like You by Keith Urban from the soundtrack to How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.

It was meh. I’m no fan of country, so I can’t really judge their performance, but the crowd seemed to like it.

Nicole Scherzinger said she would be popular if she took them home to Kentucky with her. She said they have good chemistry and she got to hear each of them individually shine tonight.

L.A. Reid said that was really good, but he doesn’t know the difference between her performances and that he needs some diversity from her.

Nicole Scherzinger called her brilliant beyond her years and she loves that she takes her time. She called her a little slice of Heaven.

The X Factor USA Top 11 Performance Live Recap 11/9/11

Tonight is an all new performance episode of Simon Cowell’s hit show, The X Factor! We’re down to the top eleven acts and it’s getting competitive! If you’ve missed last week’s performance episode of the show, you can read our recap here.

On last week’s elimination episode, we saw the exit of InTENsity, after they sang for their supper against The Stereo Hogzz. Afterward, we ran a poll asking fans if the right act went home and 64% of you agreed with the decision to send the group home.

Now, we’ve learned that since Simon has pretty much taken all of the credit for fellow judge Nicole Scherzinger’s work with Stacy Francis, she has banned him from her rehearsals. We can’t say that we blame her — he is the competition, isn’t he?

It’s movie night on the show, so the contestants are going to perform iconic songs from movie soundtracks! (continue reading…)

Nicole Scherzinger Bans Simon Cowell From X Factor Rehearsals

Nicole Scherzinger Bans Simon Cowell From X Factor Rehearsals

Nicole Scherzinger is not playing around!

Reportedly, the Pussycat Dolls singer has banned fellow judge Simon Cowell from her group’s rehearsals on the first season of The X Factor USA!

Now, as you know, we’ve been watching the show and recapping it this entire season. We’ve gotta tell you, it’s been getting pretty hairy between the judges. They are always clowning around and nitpicking with each other’s mentoring of the remaining eleven acts.

Nicole is still mentoring the Over 30′s group, which consists of Stacy Francis, Josh Krajcik and LeRoy Bell. On last week’s performance episode, Simon offered her some advice on which song to have Stacy sing. And, of course, Stacy wow’ed everyone in attendance.

Reportedly, Simon had been attending Nicole’s group’s rehearsal sessions and had been criticizing her mentoring of her three remaining contestants. Then, after Stacy performed Up To The Mountain and she killed it, Simon took credit.

A source said, “Last week, Simon made a big deal out of choosing Stacy’s song, and he said he didn’t think she’s connected with them all. She wasn’t happy with him at all – so now Nicole isn’t taking any chances. She’s made it clear these are her artists, she is mentoring them and Simon should back off!”

Can you blame her?

X Factor Results: Was The Right Act Eliminated? [Poll]

Earlier tonight, we covered the elimination results from tonight’s episode of The X Factor. Twelve acts walked out on stage and only eleven were invited back for next week’s performances.

The show’s host, Steve Jones, told us, in no particular order, who was getting pushed through. Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger and L.A. Reid all breathed a sigh of relief when they heard all of their remaining contestants names called.

The bottom two came down to The Stereo Hogzz and InTENsity. The two acts sang for their supper as they tried to sway the judges over to their side for the final vote. Afterward, the judges had to vote on who they were going to send home.

Simon voted to send home The Stereo Hogzz. Calling it a hard decision to make, their mentor Paula Abdul voted to send InTENsity home. Nicole also voted to send InTENsity home and then it was up to L.A. to either send the show into deadlock or vote to send InTENsity home. That’s what he did as the young kids stood up on the stage crying their eyes out.

Do you think the right act was eliminated tonight? TAKE OUR POLL!

Chris Rene took on a performance of Superstar by The Carpenters on last night’s performance episode of The X Factor.

On last night’s performance episode of The X Factor, the competition’s oldest singer, LeRoy Bell, sang I’m Already There by Westlife.

There is nothing that this man can’t sing! He’s got that soulful voice that reminds us of some Michael Bolton. Seriously, he should get together with Josh and do a duet. Now that would be something.

She performed a happy, energetic version of their hit song, Walking On Sunshine, much to the delight of the judges and audience. Country foursome Lakoda Rayne performed Fleetwood Mac’s classic song, Landslide, on tonight’s performance episode of The X Factor.
