TLC singer Tionne “T Boz” Watkins has filed for bankruptcy!

The 41-year-old singer filed the documents in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, after finding that she owed creditors a huge sum. The figure is over $750 million and was mostly accrued from mortgages on her $1.2 million property.

TMZ reports:

The docs don’t paint a picture of exorbitant spending — she takes in $11,700/month in income, with monthly expenses totaling $8,821.

TLC had ten top ten singles, four number one singles, four multi-platinum albums, and four Grammy Awards … but according to the docs, T-Boz only pulls in $1,200/month in royalties.

T-Boz might have dodged the bankruptcy bullet if she’d been able to collect the child support she claims she’s owed — which according to the docs is $250,000.

She shares an eleven-year-old daughter named Chase with rapper Mack 10. In 2004, she filed for divorce and requested a restraining order against him.

This isn’t the first of her troubles. She had been diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia, along with discovering that she had a brain tumor that she’d been battling for three years.

Hope things get better for her. TLC was a huge R&B group back in the day. I ain’t ashamed to say it, Waterfalls was my jam.

The Parents Television Council is upset at TLC for their show Toddlers And Tiaras — after it showed a three-year-old girl wearing the Vivian Ward hooker costume from the Julia Roberts movie, Pretty Woman.

The girl’s parents obviously thought that this was a good idea for the show. The network aired the promo shot, which drew ire from the parents’ group.

The PTC said, “We have a serious problem when the Learning Channel featuring a toddler, who probably hasn’t even learned to read, dressed as a prostitute showing off her sexy strut. There’s no question, TV executives are complicit in robbing these small kids of their childhood.”

They added, “For years we’ve seen adult sexuality being inappropriately and aggressively foisted on innocent young children, but children today are being sexualized at younger and younger ages. All available data suggests they will suffer for it later in life.”

Dear internets, the parents names are not being revealed in what we suspect is a sly move on TLC’s part to make people watch this garbage to further fuel their outrage. If you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past couple of weeks, then you’ve missed the ultimate media blitz brought on by the winning warlock himself, Charlie Sheen.

The good folks over at TLC want to capitalize on the Charlie craze and are airing a documentary on the former Two And A Half Men star.

The documentary, titled, Charlie Sheen: On The Brink is a one hour special that has been put into high gear so that show executives can capitalize on the media frenzy that he has created.

The show is set to air on TLC on March 20th. Are you going to tune in?

Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins recently suffered from the swine flu and has since been recovering.

She said, “My daughter and I had sore throats that lasted about three days, so we went to see an ear, nose, and throat specialist. After examining us, he told me my daughter had the flu – and I had swine flu…I made arrangements right away for my daughter to stay with my mother…I had to stay in the house and away from everyone.”

Four days later, it had hit her like a ton of bricks and the doctors told her to haul her butt in to the hospital.

She adds, “It really hit me hard… I became very achy. Plus, I had a bad cough, and my ear was infected too. I got up to go to the bathroom and became winded. I called my doctor, and he told me that I should go to the emergency room right away. I never felt like I was going to die, but I was really concerned that I couldn’t breathe. The doctors checked my vitals and my oxygen and told me my heartbeat was strong. Then they gave me some fluids and told me the flu was just running its course. I was out from nine to 12 days. I took all the medication and some herbs and supplements to help me get better quicker.”

Now that she’s feeling somewhat better, when can we expect some new music???
