Miley Cyrus is planning her world tour
by Jed Eckert on Mar.21, 2011, under articles

Disney teen queen Miley Cyrus is planning to kickoff her world tour starting with a concert in Ecuador. Reportedly, she will play a show in Quito on April 29th, followed by a concert in Lima, Peru on May 1st.
According to reports, Miley is expected to make a tour announcement with more dates coming in the very near future.
Most recently, it was decided that Miley would go forward with the release of her second single from Can’t Be Tamed, Every Rose Has Its Thorn. The song was originally sang by Poison, but Miley and Bret Michaels did the duet for her current album.
The song was shelved as a single after reports hit the internet that her mother Tish was having an affair with Bret. After her parents reconciled, the song was given a single release date.
The Scorpions say goodbye to music
by Roberta Ferguson on Jan.25, 2010, under articles
Legendary “Rock You Like A Hurricane” rockers The Scorpions are saying farewell to the music industry after 40 years in the business. But not before embarking on a two-year world tour.
They made the official announcement on their website, but let fans know that they will have the chance to say goodbye, as they are touring for the next two years, before hanging up their guitars.
A statement on their website says, “It was always our pleasure, our purpose in life, our passion and we were fortunate enough to make music for you – whether it was live on stage or in the studio, creating new songs. While we were working on our album these past few months, we could literally feel how powerful and creative our work was – and how much fun we were still having, in the process. But there was also something else. We want to end the Scorpions extraordinary career on a high note. We are extremely grateful for the fact that we still have the same passion for music we’ve always had since the beginning. This is why, especially now, we agree we have reached the end of the road. We finish our career with an album we consider to be one of the best we have ever recorded and with a tour that will start in our home country Germany and take us to five different continents over the next few years. We want you, our fans, to be the first to know about this. Thank you for your never-ending support throughout the years!”
Will you go see them on their farewell tour?

Lady Gaga Says She’s Sorry For Postponing Shows
by Roberta Ferguson on Apr.02, 2009, under articles

For postponing some of her tour dates for “The Fame Ball“, Lady Gaga is saying that she’s sick and she’s sorry. She postponed tonight’s show in Washington, DC, as well as tomorrow night’s show in Richmond, Virginia.
At least she’s offering some sort of explanation. Poor thing, I hope she feels better soon!
She says:
I am so terribly sad about the postponed performances. I wanted to tell you all, that although many assume it’s because of Idol, the truth is I have had a high fever and some crazy virus for days, and I am still sick. We are very pleased with how Idol went, but after weeks of not a day off my schedule, my team and doctor felt it imperative that I sleep for a few days.
My friends surprised me with a birthday cake and pinata post show at a friends art studio last night, my spirits are already higher, and I am now straight back to bed to sleep for the next couple days.
But, I could barely sleep in this morning thinking about all of you. And while some I’m sure are inventing curse words for me, the shows have now been moved to bigger venues. for more dancing, more sweating, and more of my props to fit on stage. your support means everything to me, and I am truly very sorry if I’ve upset anyone. And to my gay fans, please know that I’m always thinking about you, and how I can give you and every tour date the absolute best performance of my life. I will see you all for Dinah Shore this weekend. I love you more than words or music can express.
Love & Art, Sincerely,
Gaga
