Two And A Half Men Season 9 Episode 9 Questions – ‘Frodo’s Headshots’

Two And A Half Men Season 9 Episode 9 Questions – ‘Frodo's Headshots’

After watching last night’s episode of Two And A Half Men, titled Frodo’s Headshots, I had some thoughts to share — and some questions. In case you’ve missed the show, you can read our official recap here.

Brief Show Summary:

Alan is getting out of the hospital only to find that Jake is going to be a father, he’s getting audited by the IRS and Walden stole his girlfriend, Lindsey. If that wasn’t bad enough, Herb had a DNA test done on his daughter Millie, only to find that she’s actually Alan’s kid. Herb shoots him just as he was about to have sex with what he referred to as “Jessica Rabbit”. Then, he wakes up to find it was all a dream.

Questions:

If they can show a dream sequence like this one, can they not make Charlie’s death a huge dream?

If Jake really did get Megan pregnant, they could have a son and axe Walden’s character and it would still be “two and a half men”, technically, wouldn’t it?

Are you as tired of the sex jokes as I am? Seriously, a show can be funny without so much of it. Don’t you think?

Is Walden that stupid to program all of his stuff so that Alan can’t access it, even though he knew he was returning home?

Can Ashton Kutcher really carry this show?

Will Two And A Half Men see a season ten? What do you think? Is it time to put that puppy to bed? Sound off in the comments below!

Two And A Half Men 'Frodo's Headshots' Recap

Two And A Half Men continues to blaze on with Ashton Kutcher — with a brand spankin’ new episode tonight. This one is titled, Frodo’s Headshots and it deals with Alan’s hospitalization. If you’ve missed last week’s episode, titled, Thanks For The Intercourse, click here for our recap and get all caught up.

Episode synopsis:

Upon his release from the hospital, Alan is met with a slew of challenges that test his ability to cope.

Preview video:

After Alan gets released from the hospital, things go from bad to worse as he learns that he’s being audited. It gets even worse when Jake tells Alan that he’s going to be a dad. Fittingly enough, while he’s in the hospital, Alan finds that he’s sharing a room with Gary Busey.

We’ll be covering the show tonight, so stay tuned for our handy recap!

Recap:

Twenty-eight days after checking into the mental institution, Alan is finally leaving. As the nurse is discharging him, she tells him they had a pool going to see how long it would take to get him toilet trained again. She tells him she’s got another $100 on the fact that he’ll be back before Christmas.

His roommate pulls back the curtain and it’s Gary Busey! He wants a hug from Alan before he leaves. He tells him he loves him. Oh crazy Gary…

Jake picks Alan up and asks if he’s not crazy anymore. Alan said he wasn’t actually “crazy”, then Jake asks, “Then why were you in the nut house?”

Jake then tells his dad that his girlfriend, Megan, is “kinda” pregnant and is still in “her first semester.”

Alan asked what about all of the talks about using protection and safe sex, to which Jake informs him that he was drunk. Jake said that they’re going to support the baby by quitting school and getting jobs in advertising. He explains that as teaching the baby to talk and putting it in e-trade commercials.

Jake tells Alan to tell his mother about the baby. Alan asks why he has to tell him and he says that she already hates him (Alan) and she scares the crap out of him (Jake).

Walden greets Alan with a warm hug and a “welcome home buddy”. Jake tells Walden that he’s going to be a dad, and then tells his father that if it’s a boy, he’s going to name it Frodo. Berta comes in and laughs off Jake becoming a dad. She secretly asks Walden if he told Alan his “news”. Walden says, “It’ll keep.”

Two And A Half Men Season 9 Episode 8 Questions – ‘Thanks For The Intercourse’

by on Nov.08, 2011, under articles

Two And A Half Men Season 9 Episode 8 Questions

After watching last night’s Two And A Half Men episode, titled Thanks For The Intercourse, I had some thoughts to share — and some questions. In case you’ve missed the show, you can read our recap here.

Brief show summary:

Walden donates Charlie’s old piano, Alan goes nuts and embodies his late brother, in picking up a woman, drinking Scotch, wearing his clothes and smoking cigars. In the end, Alan gets tossed in the looney bin and says the catchphrase of the year, “Winning!” — only after ordering ice, Scotch and some Asian hookers on his “hand phone”.

Questions:

Are the show creators that desperate to leave Charlie’s ghost hanging around the show that they made Alan go crazy and act like Charlie? When people started saying to bring back Charlie Sheen, we’re pretty sure this is not what they meant.

Was Jon Cryer able to pull off the whole Alan as Charlie charade? Did he do the role justice? We’ve seen many on-screen transformations (thanks, True Blood), so we were curious as to what you thought about the role switch-up.

Is Two And A Half Men desperate to hold onto anything Charlie? Yes, they got rid of his famous piano, but his ghost is lingering in the script, mucking about. I mean, wasn’t it an obvious dig at Charlie when Alan said, “Winning” and the end?

What do you think? Sound off in the comments below and let us know!

Two And A Half Men Season 9 Spoilers - Alan Gets Institutionalized!

This might be one of Two And A Half Men’s more interesting storylines. The show has been still reeling after the death of Charlie Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper, but they’ve found a way to bring his memory back into the fold.

Jon Cryer had previously revealed that one of the characters on the show gets institutionalized — and as it turns out, it’s his character, Alan Harper!

According to Entertainment Weekly, Alan hasn’t dealt with the death of his brother yet. On Monday’s upcoming episode, Walden decides to donate Charlie’s piano to under-privileged children. In the beginning, that decision seems to be okay with Alan. But — then it sinks in after the piano is gone. That triggers Alan’s grief over the loss of his brother and he goes crazy.

Apparently, Alan is deluded into thinking that he’s actually his brother, Charlie. On the next episode, Alan will be doing his best Charlie Harper act. Can he pull it off? What do you think?

Charlie Sheen Disappointed With Newly Revamped 'Two And A Half Men'

Dear Two And A Half Men, Charlie Sheen is just not into you anymore. When the show returned with the untimely death, Charlie tuned in to find out how they were going to kill him off. He even claimed that he enjoyed the show and was sure that his replacement, Ashton Kutcher, was going to do a good job.

Now? Not so much.

TMZ’s videographer followed Charlie and started asking him about his new show, Anger Management. Charlie responded that they were going to start filming that in January. When asked what his fans could expect from the show, he said, “Everything. Everything that they’re not getting right now.”

ZING.

The video guy informed Charlie that Two And A Half Men’s ratings keep plummeting, to which he said, “Yeah, well, people aren’t stupid. Not all of ‘em.”

Then Charlie was asked about his thoughts on Ashton’s “bumps in the road”, to which he replied, “He’s doing the best he can. I don’t think the role is cursed. But – I’m extremely disappointed with how they’re handling what I left behind.”

SNAP.

Walden asks Alan how the house hunting is going and Alan tells him that he’s still looking, but there’s not a lot available. Berta says, “Maybe that’s because you’re looking in the Sports section.”

POLL: Two And A Half Men — Sucks? Bring Charlie Sheen Back?

by on Oct.04, 2011, under articles

POLL: Two And A Half Men -- Sucks? Bring Charlie Sheen Back?

It appears that the court of public opinion is slowly coming around to the fact that the newly revamped Two And A Half Men featuring Ashton Kutcher as Walden Schmidt – sucks.

Increasingly, we’re hearing that Ashton shouldn’t have been cast on the show as a replacement for Charlie Sheen. Fans of the show have spent eight seasons laughing along with Charlie’s character and they now have to get used to Walden? He’s a bit bland for our tastes. BORING! NEXT!

Should Chuck Lorre have to swallow his pride and ask Charlie to come back to the show? Should they have never killed him off in the first place?

We’re heard a lot of comments about how bad the show is and people have said that they only tuned in to see how they killed Charlie off and how bad it sucks without him.

Have you tuned in? Are you curious about what’s going on with Walden Schmidt? Do you care about any of the storylines now? Apparently on last night’s episode, Walden inspired Jake to want to quit school?!? What a lesson!

In addition, we’re also taking note of Chuck Lorre’s vanity card from last night’s show:

Hardly a day goes by when I don’t think about quitting this business. Hanging it up. Taking my proverbial bat and ball and going home. In my imagination, the day after I quit is a wonderful, relaxing, joyful experience. I reconnect with old friends, walk on the beach, read, listen to music, play guitar, play golf, eat leisurely meals off of real plates, exercise, meditate, maybe go see a matinee, or take a stab at writing a few pages of a self-indulgent, joke-free play filled with people screaming at each other, and then, after taking the dog for a walk, climb into bed and fall into a peaceful, stress-free sleep. The day after that, bored out of my mind, I start drinking around the clock and quickly descend into a dark, frothing madness that leads to either being institutionalized or liver failure and an agonizing, premature death. The really scary part? There’s hardly a day goes by when I don’t think about quitting this business.

CBS Upset At Ashton Kutcher Over Two And A Half Men Product Placement

If you’ve seen the second episode of the ninth season of Two And A Half Men, then you might have noticed Ashton Kutcher’s character, Walden Schmidt, using his laptop. Did you notice all of the stickers on his laptop? Apparently, that’s got CBS’ panties in a bunch, because they didn’t make a dime off of the product placement from the stickers. In addition to that, those are all stickers of companies that Ashton has a vested interest in!

The laptop had stickers on it from Foursquare, The Hip Munk, GroupMe and Cheff, all of which Ashton has a financial stake in. The Foursquare sticker was noted by a disclaimer in the show’s credits.

A network source said, “This was not part of any advertising transaction with CBS. Our policy is to disclose such financial interests in a credit at the end of the broadcast.”

The network is planning on blurring out the stickers for any repeat viewings of the episode.

Charlie Sheen Loved The Two And A Half Men Premiere -- Did You?

If you were one of the millions of people who tuned into the ninth season of Two And A Half Men, then you’re not alone. Apparently, Charlie Sheen was watching right along with us. And even though the show was panned by fans of the show, Charlie said that he loved it!

Ashton Kutcher replaced Charlie on the show, after his very public meltdown earlier this year. Ashton’s character, Walden Schmidt, took over, landing the show in the top spot in the ratings game.

Charlie didn’t just like the show, he loved it! According to reports, Charlie has told friends that watching his funeral on the show was “eerie but fun.”

Of his replacement, Charlie said, “I thought it was the best intro for a new character on a TV show of all time.” Reportedly, he also liked the fact that Ashton’s character “was revealed through the dusty exploded smoke of my remains.”

What did you think of the season premiere of the show? Did you love it or hate it? Sound off in the comments below!

Ashton Kutcher’s Two And A Half Men Debut Breaks Ratings Records

by on Sep.20, 2011, under articles

Ashton Kutcher's Two And A Half Men Debut Breaks Ratings Records

People really flocked to Ashton Kutcher’s debut episode on Two And A Half Men last night! Fans of the show, along with Charlie Sheen fans were wondering just how well his replacement was going to do. In case you’ve missed it, you can check out our official recap HERE.

Ashton debuted as Walden Schmidt on the highly anticipated show, after its creator and Warner Brothers fired its former star. So, we tuned in to see how Ashton would do and more importantly, how the show would fare without Charlie.

According to reports, no matter the reason, the show got 27.2 million viewers who tuned in! The show also received a 10.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That basically means that mostly everyone shunned the season premiere of Dancing With The Stars to watch Charlie Harper get lambasted.

That’s pretty interesting, considering Charlie and Ashton were going head-to-head for the most viewers for the night. Still, we have to admit, we didn’t care for how the show handled Charlie’s death. They made his family seem very uncaring at his funeral and afterward. The only one to show any remorse at his passing was his brother Alan, who had a heartfelt talk with Charlie’s urn after the wake.

It appeared to us that Chuck Lorre was more interested in giving Charlie every disease known to man, making his family rude and uncaring and flopping Ashton Kutcher in his spot as the man-child, hapless, exhibitionist womanizer.

What did you think? Why did you watch? Were you curious about how Ashton was going to do? Or were you more interested to see how the show would handle Charlie’s death? Most importantly, will you watch again next week for part two? Let us know, in the comments!

Two And A Half Men Season 9 Episode 1 Questions

Now that Ashton Kutcher has officially made his debut on Two And A Half Men, we had to take a hard look at the show’s premiere episode. I was taken aback at how many cracks they laid out at Charlie’s expense!

Firstly, when starting off with the funeral, no one really seems to be mourning their loss. Instead, Charlie’s ex-girlfriends are all there, making cracks about how he gave them STDs. His mother is there to stop the cracks, but jokes seriously about selling his house. Is there no respect?!? For a funeral service, it seems more dependent on the jokes that they can make, instead of mourning a brother, a son and an uncle for the show’s characters.

The show continues to lay on the disrespect to Charlie’s character by having Alan vacuum up his brother with a dust buster. (continue reading…)

Two And A Half Men Season 9 Episode 1 'Nice to Meet You, Walden Schmidt' Recap 9/19/11

The ninth season of Two And A Half Men made its premiere tonight and we’ve got your recap right here! It’s Ashton Kutcher’s debut episode, aptly titled, Nice To Meet You, Walden Schmidt.

Tonight’s show opens with Charlie’s funeral and Alan is giving his eulogy. He said that it’s a sad day for all of them, but Jenny McCarthy pipes up and tells him to speak for himself. Charlie’s ex-girlfriends start listing off all of the STD’s that Charlie gave them. His mother interrupts to say that they’re talking about her dead son, along with his beach house (she details out all of the trimmings).

The ex-girlfriends don’t seem to be interested in Alan’s eulogy and they’re asking to see his body. Jenny’s character said that she didn’t come all this way to spit on a closed coffin. Alan says that his remains aren’t “spittable”. (continue reading…)

Charlie Sheen Gives Two And A Half Men Crew His Best Wishes

Charlie Sheen Gives Two And A Half Men Crew His Best Wishes

Winning warlock Charlie Sheen made a surprise appearance at the 2011 Emmy Awards last night!

During his spot, he wished his former co-stars and the crew of Two And A Half Men a future of “great television”.

It is a definite turn around from his previous remarks about the show and its creator, Chuck Lorre. Charlie has really seemed to turn things around for himself, don’t you think?

Since having a meltdown, Charlie has been replaced on the show by Ashton Kutcher. On last night’s awards show, however, he proved that he held no hard feelings for the actor. He presented the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series to Jim Parsons for his show, The Big Bang Theory.

He said to his old cast and crew, “We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television.”

Jon Cryer later presented an award with Ashton, and introduced himself on stage by saying, “I am not Charlie Sheen.”

Ashton rolled with the joke, saying, “And Jon, I want to tell you something. I do not think you are a troll.”

Too funny!

Which will you be watching later on tonight? The newly rebooted Two And A Half Men or the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen? Let us know in the comments!
