Rihanna has previously said that she would give her entire life in order to play the late, great Whitney Houston in a biopic based on her life. Since, it has sparked rumors that Rihanna is set to play Whitney if a movie gets made about her life.

At the time, she said, “That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off.”

In a new interview with MTV, she dismissed the speculation. She said, “That’s just rumors. I never heard anything about that. That’s a huge, huge role, and whoever does it has to do a good job. My first song that I remember falling in love with was a Whitney Houston song: ‘I Will Always Love You’. It was really inspiring, and it made me develop a passion for music, so really, she’s partly responsible for me being here in this industry.”

Right after learning that Whitney Houston had died, her former husband Bobby Brown took to the stage to perform for his fans. Now, in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, he has defended his decision to perform that day. He said that the only reason that he still performed because it’s what Whitney would have wanted.

He was scheduled to perform at the Landers Center in Mississippi on February 11th, but refused to cancel the show in order to grieve for Whitney. He was scrutinized by Whitney’s fans for continuing on with the show, despite her untimely passing on the same day.

In a new interview with Ellen on Wednesday, he said that he tried his best to get to Los Angeles the day of Whitney’s death, but performed instead out of respect for the iconic singer. He said, “I was in Mississippi performing and I got the call. Of course, I tried to get a flight. Tried to rent a jet. Whatever I had to do, but it was impossible. So I knew the best thing that she would want me to do was perform.”

He went on to say, “You know, we are performers. That’s what we did. That’s what we do. And she would want the best for me.”

Her daughter has inherited her estate and now the family is looking to reality television in order to cope. They’ve already worked out a deal with Lifetime TV to broadcast how they are coming together following the songbird’s untimely passing.

The show will be titled “The Houston Family Chronicles” and will feature Bobbi Kristina, Gary, Pat and Cissy Houston. The show will be more centered around Pat and Gary Houston and will show how they care for Bobbi Kristina. The network released a statement saying that the show will follow Pat and Gary as they are “supporting and guiding [Bobbi Kristina] as she faces the world alone…without her mother.”

According to reports, the family was already in the process of considering a reality show, but now that she has passed away, they have retooled the show as more of a tribute to the fallen singer.

Pat said in a statement, “The unexpected passing of Whitney certainly affects the direction of the show. However, it is my hope that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move forward.”

Bobby Brown doesn’t want the blame laid upon him for getting his former wife Whitney Houston on drugs. Right after she passed away, her throngs of fans started pointing the finger at Bobby for leading her down the path of self-destructive behavior. In a new interview with Matt Lauer, Bobby said that the accusations made him feel terrible.

He told the “Today” host, “But you know, I know differently. I think if anyone ever knew us, if anybody ever spent time around us…they would know how we felt about each other. They would know how happy we were together.”

He also spoke of their reality show saying, “The reality show gave us a wake up. We were able to see that our drug use had affected our relationship, had affected the love that we felt for each other.”

The singer isn’t taking any responsibility for introducing Whitney to drugs. He revealed, “I didn’t get high before I met Whitney.” He copped to smoking weed and drinking alcohol prior to their meeting, but denies getting Whitney involved in her long-term drug issues. But the “My Prerogative” singer tells Lauer it’s inaccurate to say that he introduced Houston to drugs. In fact, he says, “I didn’t get high before I met Whitney,” he says. Although he says he smoked “weed” and drank alcohol before he met the “Greatest of All” singer, “I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all,” he says, adding that Houston used drugs “way before” she met him. “It’s just unexplainable . . . I’m not the reason she’s gone.”

Of Whitney, he said, “I love that woman with everything that I am. And I believe she loved me the same way. We wouldn’t have been able to make the most beautiful girl in the world – without love. And that’s the truth.”

When he last saw Whitney a week before her untimely passing, he said, “She had this glow about her that was just, you know, incredible. She looked really well. She just looked like she was in a good place.”

A former bodyguard for the late Michael Jackson, Matt Fiddes, claimed that he is the father of Michael’s youngest son, Blanket. Now, in a new interview, he is revealing that Michael had a bit of a fling with Whitney Houston — and he dreamed of marrying her!

So the media can finally end their speculation that there was a smoking gun in Whitney Houston’s death and finally let her rest in peace.

Whitney Houston’s full Coroner’s report was released and it has been determined that the singer passed away as a result of the combined effects of cocaine use and heart disease. On February 11th, she was discovered face down in a bathtub full of scalding hot water, which was overflowing.

Investigators noted that they discovered a “rolled up piece of paper, a small spoon and a portable mirror in the bathroom.” Also discovered was some white powder in her hotel room.

She was said to have a perforated septum, which indicates long-term drug abuse. The Coroner’s report is 42 pages long and has every gruesome detail of her untimely death. The official cause of death is drowning, but the heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors in her demise.

Whitney’s mother Cissy is said to be devastated by the Coroner’s findings. She doesn’t want her daughter to be remembered for her drug abuse issues, but the powerful singer that millions grew to love.

The police have revealed that they found cocaine in the hotel room where Whitney Houston passed away on February 11th. It was first reported that there were no illegal drugs recovered from the scene of her death. Afterward, it was confirmed by the Coroner’s office that Whitney had coke in her system when she died. Later, it was rumored that someone removed the coke from her bathroom before authorities arrived on the scene.

Now, TMZ is reporting that “white, powdery remnants” were recovered from her hotel room. Apparently the police have stopped looking for the person who could have removed the drugs when she died.

Whitney’s mother Cissy has opened up for the first time since her daughter’s untimely passing. She said, “I have my moments. I’m not there yet. I don’t think I’m any more courageous than anyone else. I am a true believer in God, if I could bring her back I would, but that’s not possible.”

Cissy also revealed that she can’t hold herself responsible for her daughter’s later troubles. She said, “I know I did the best I could. I don’t blame myself. I know I did the best I could for everything.”

She went on to say, “My children are my whole life. She was very special to me. She was my only daughter, and a good one. Looked out for her family. I’m very proud of my daughter. She accomplished a whole lot in the short time that she had here…she was a very wonderful person.”

A source connected to the investigation tells us it is “very possible” Whitney had a heart attack that caused her to lose consciousness and drown. The heart attack may have been triggered by hardening of the arteries as a result of cocaine use.

Investigators found NO EVIDENCE of cocaine in the hotel room.

Rest in peace, Whitney. Let’s hope that her daughter Bobbi Kristina doesn’t follow in her mother’s footsteps. Let’s hope that this is the end of the murder speculation, as well. The Police Department didn’t expect any foul play with her death.

Yesterday, an insider revealed to Star magazine that Ray J was sitting on some racy footage of late singer Whitney Houston. The tabloid’s source said that Ray J has “a ton of sexually explicit photos and videos”.

RadarOnline reports:

The Houston family has “been in contact with Ray and told him they do not want any photos or videos painting her in a bad light to come out,” the source said, adding the famous family “explained to Ray that now is the time to honor Whitney, not drag her legacy down.”

The insider said the younger brother of singer Brandy has “been stalling” to sell, or hand them over, them to Whitney’s family “because he knows he’s sitting on a gold mine.”

The report seemed feasible considering that Ray J is responsible for Kim Kardashian’s meteoric rise to fame as a result of their sex tape. But, TMZ has the denial from Ray J’s camp.

His rep said, “The despicable tabloid report released today claiming the existence of a sex tape between Ray J and Whitney Houston is not true…There is no sex tape.”

Did you think that an actual tape existed?

Now that Whitney Houston is gone, it appears that her ex-husband Bobby Brown wants to issue some sort of tell all so that he can collect some cash from her memory. Ugh, this twit.

Whitney apparently took some secrets to the grave, but the tabloid has dug them up. According to their report, Whitney hated her mother Cissy. Also not getting any love from Whitney was her co-star in the movie, The Bodyguard, Kevin Costner. I’m going to call BS on the report, considering how much Kevin pulled for her to be in the movie. He gave such a touching speech about her during her funeral, that we find it very hard to believe that she didn’t hold their friendship dear.

There are also some fears that grave robbers will snatch up the $500,000 worth of jewels that she wore for her funeral. We’ve heard reports that the funeral home removed the jewelry from her body before she was laid to rest, so we’re not buying that either.

Reportedly, Clive Davis is planning the biopic as a tribute to his close friend and there is already a short list of names for those being considered to play Whitney. Among them are Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson, Vivica A. Fox and Brandy.

Also being rumored to be on the list is Whitney’s Sparkle co-star, Jordin Sparks. Along with that, Will Smith’s daughter Willow is being tipped to play Whitney as a young girl.

A source revealed, “Clive wants to get the script done and start filming as soon as possible. Whitney knew about the project and was excited to see where it would lead. It’s hoped the biopic will be as successful as Tina Turner’s movie What’s Love Got To Do With It, which landed two Oscar nominations for Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne.”

Brandy previously said, “My dream role would be to play Whitney Houston. I would love to play Ms. Whitney. I have her personality down pat, her ‘isms’ down pat. Nobody can play Whitney like me.”

A source told Life & Style magazine, “She was very close to her mother; they were more like best friends. They even partied together.”

According to reports, Bobbi Kristina tried to warn Whitney the day before she died — to slow down. Whitney was seen drinking at Tru Hollywood nightclub on Friday, February 10th, but her daughter tried to make sure she was okay.

A source revealed, “Whitney’s bodyguard would try to grab a drink out of her hand, and she’d spin around and laugh, ‘Just one more’, Bobbi Kristina told her to slow down, and even took Whitney’s bodyguard aside and said, ‘Keep an eye on my mom.’”

The source continued, “About an hour later, Whitney was out on her balcony screaming, ‘I’m tired of this s**t, I’m tired of this s**t!’ Hotel security had been called to her room twice and she was ranting and raving about being harassed.”

The next day, Whitney was said to have taken a deadly combination of Xanax, alcohol and Valium. A hotel source said, “A staff member went into the bathroom and found Whitney slumped in the tub, her head in the water with her arm dangling out of the tub and her knees flexed upward. One of the bodyguards ran in and pulled Whitney out of the tub.”

A source said, “Whitney’s passing is sending Bobbi off the deep end. Bobbi’s problems are out of control.”

Let’s hope that she can turn things around for herself if she is actually dealing with some sort of drug problem. It wouldn’t surprise us that she would be dealing with issues like this, considering she was raised in the middle of Whitney’s addictions.

It would be a shame to see her go down the path of self destruction, so let’s just hope for the best at this point.
