Taylor Swift And Miranda Lambert Receive 50th Anniversay Milestone Awards

At Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards, Taylor Swift shared a memorable moment with her mother. Swift was one of seven who received the 50th Anniversary Milestone Awards. Her mother, who recently announced she is battling cancer, presented Swift with the award. Andrea Swift, Taylor’s mother, stated she is a very proud mom of a daughter brave enough to explore her musical curiosity.

Swift is reported to have acknowledged her pleasure in having learned to write songs in Nashville. She credits the country music world with having shown her grace. Swift announced last year she would be releasing a full blown pop album and leaving the country music world. The former country singer was seated next to her father, Scott and danced along at the ACM Awards in a typical form as Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride performed.

Performing “Little Red Wagon”, Lambert was on a winning streak. She had eight nominees, and won album of the year for, “Platinum”. She also won for; female vocalist of the year and as a songwriter and performer she won twice for single record of the year with, “Automatic”. Lambert beat out Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Little Big Town and Dierks Bentley.

In last year’s award ceremonies, Lambert was a fashion favorite and she wowed the audience again this year with her flowing, plunging outfit. She had on white pants with a white top and black sheer center. Lambert was another who accepted the 50th Anniversary Milestone Award. It was presented to her by Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara. The other recipients of the 50th Anniversary Milestone Award were; Garth Brooks, George Strait, Kenny Chesney and Brooks & Dunn.
