If you’ve been keeping up with this season of “The Bachelorette“, then you know that Emily Maynard isn’t shy about showing any of the guys the door. She kicked Kalon out of her life for referring to her daughter Ricki as “baggage” and Ryan shortly followed after she didn’t trust his intentions. In case you’ve missed week five’s episode, we’ve written about it in full detail at this link.
WARNING: This post contains spoilers for Monday night’s episode of “The Bachelorette” with Emily Maynard. Do not proceed further if you don’t want to be spoiled.
From the show’s official website:
The group travels to Prague; Emily must decide which men get to take her home to meet their families; Emily addresses Arie’s past relationship with one of the show’s producers.
The promo video:
The problem with Arie Luyendyk is that he dated one of the show’s producers, Cassie Lambert, back in 2003. It was a long time ago, but he didn’t offer up that information to Emily when they started dating. Their relationship was brief, but it’s obvious that she feels betrayed by the show’s frontrunner.
Cassie tried to calm Emily down about their romance, saying that they weren’t that close, but Emily was steadfast in her opinion that that didn’t change anything. Emily said, “It wouldn’t have been weird if someone said on day one: ‘We know each other.’ I wouldn’t even care, but now I feel like an idiot. I know something about Arie that he’s not telling me.”
Do you think that Emily Maynard is going to send Arie Luyendyk home after hearing about his relationship with Cassie Lambert? Would she be right in doing so? It was almost ten years ago, does that even matter now, considering that their relationship was so brief? What do you think?
