The X Factor Live Double Elimination Recap For December 6, 2012

The X Factor Live Double Elimination Recap For December 6, 2012

Tonight at 8PM EST on FOX is an all new episode of the hit talent competition “The X Factor USA”. The competition is heating up as the top six are dwindled down to four acts. In case you’ve missed last night’s performance episode of the show, you can read our fully detailed recap here.

After viewing the performances from the top six, we have our guesses as to who’s going to be eliminated tonight. We’re guessing that Cece Frey or Fifth Harmony is going to be eliminated at the top half of the show, with Diamond White going against whoever didn’t survive that. It’s a double elimination and anything can happen, but we’re guessing that fan favorites Carly Rose Sonenclar and Tate Stevens are going absolutely nowhere.

Highlights from last night’s show included Carly Rose’s version of Justin Bieber’s song “As Long As You Love Me”. In addition, Cece didn’t exactly butcher her Pepsi Challenge song, so she might slide by again (spoiler alert: we doubt it). Tate did a really good Garth Brooks, for those of you who are inclined to listen to country music.

Lowlights included Fifth Harmony’s everything, including their highly pointed out lack of harmony. In addition to that, Cece’s butchering of Lady Gaga’s “Edge Of Glory”, Emblem3’s obviously predictable Bruno Mars cover and Tate’s cover of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer”. Still, we already know it’s really anyone’s game!

Last week, we said goodbye to Paige Thomas and Vino Alan, so just remember how important your votes are to keep your favorites in the competition.

On tonight’s elimination, we can expect performances from season one “X Factor” winner Melanie Amaro. In addition, poptard Ke$ha will be taking the stage. Stay tuned for our live recap of the double elimination tonight as it airs. Until then, tell us in the comments who you voted for last night!

RECAP:

At the moment, we are getting a brief recap of the performances from last night. Taking the first tonight is last year’s winner Melanie Amaro performing her new single “Long Distance”. She still sounds fantastic!

Now that the acts are on the stage, we’re about to learn who is going to be eliminated first! The act with the lowest amount of votes and leaving the competition right now is CECE FREY! She called it an incredible experience and said she is so grateful.

The results as to who is getting into the semi-finals are, in no particular order: Emblem3, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Tate Stevens. Diamond White and Fifth Harmony will be competing in the sing-off, as predicted by Earsucker!

Ke$ha is debuting her new song “Come On”, so we’re going to have to endure that until the sing-off. Ke$ha shouldn’t really be allowed to sing anything live, in our humble opinions. It’s not that bad, but it sounds reminiscent of “Tik Tok” a little bit. She should’ve been in the sing-off against the other acts because she’s not really that talented. As a matter of fact, the laser show is the best thing about this whole performance.

First up are Fifth Harmony singing “Anytime You Need A Friend” by Mariah Carey. Not bad! Diamond might actually be in trouble after this performance. Fifth Harmony is bringing it!

Up next in the sing-off is Diamond White performing her rendition of “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack. It’s decent, but we’re guessing that the judges are going to vote for Fifth Harmony.

It’s time for the judges votes! Simon Cowell is voting to send home Diamond White. Britney Spears is voting to send home Fifth Harmony, obviously. L.A. Reid is voting to send home Diamond White. Lastly, Demi Lovato is voting to send home Diamond White. Diamond White has been eliminated from the competition!

We have our top four competitors in the semi-finals: Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens, Fifth Harmony and Emblem3. Demi is out as a mentor now that Cece has been eliminated and will continue to judge the contestants.

And now for the rankings:

6th place: Cece Frey (eliminated)
5th place: Diamond White (eliminated)
4th place: Fifth Harmony
3rd place: Emblem3
2nd place: Carly Rose Sonenclar
1st place: Tate Stevens
