Thursday night on Fox an all new episode of the second season of “The X Factor USA” aired at 8PM EST. It’s the second half of the “Judge’s Houses” portion of the competition. During Wednesday night’s episode, the remaining contestants were split into four separate categories: Teens, Young Adults, Over 25’s and Groups. Also, the categories were assigned to the judges and their mentors for the remainder of the season. In case you’ve missed the show, you can read our fully detailed recap here.
The young adults group along with the group categories performed for their respective judges on Wednesday. L.A. Reid’s contestants performed first, starting off with Jason Brock singing “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by Fergie. It was some falsetto greatness, but does he have “the X Factor”? Next up David Correy performed “Domino” by Jessie J. L.A. commented that the notes David hit gave him “chill bumps” and his performance was “pure passion.” Daryl Black performed “She’s Gone” by Hall & Oates. Tate Stevens performed “Back At One” by Brian McKnight. He has countrified the song and his voice still impressed. Vino Allan performed “Sober” by Pink and he stepped it up, but was nervous. Tara Simon sang “The Reason” by Hoobastank and this performance wasn’t as good as her previous ones.
Up next in front of Britney Spears and will.I.am, Diamond White sang “I’m With You” by Avril Lavigne. Reed Deming performed “Hey There Delilah” by the Plain White T’s. James Tanner performed “Party Like A Rock Star” by Shop Boyz. Arin Ray took the stage next to perform “Starships” by Nicki Minaj. Afterward, Beatrice Miller performed “Titanium” by David Guetta. Lastly, Carly Rose Sonenclar sang “Brokenhearted” by Karmin.
After watching all of the performances, we are watching out for Cece Frey, Jillian Jensen, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Emblem3, Paige Thomas, Beatrice Miller
