Tonight at 8PM EST is the performance finale of “The X Factor” and it has all come down to this! The top three contenders, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens and Fifth Harmony will go head to head in a final showdown to determine who will be crowned the second season champion of the show. In case you’ve missed last week’s elimination of Emblem3, you can read our fully detailed recap of the show here.
It’s the final chance that we will get to see the top three take on some new performances for our votes. We cannot wait to see who will be crowned the winner of this season. We have conducted a poll two days ago to see what our readers thought and here are the results:
Carly Rose Sonenclar came in first place with a cool 417 votes. In second place was Fifth Harmony with 101 votes and Tate Stevens was in a close last place with 91 votes. After tonight, those figures may change, so stay tuned.
As always, we will be providing our best live coverage of the show as soon as it airs. Be sure to refresh this page often to learn what each of the acts are singing. In the meantime, TELL US who you are voting for to win the second season of “The X Factor”!
Simon Cowell kicked off the show with a tribute to those who were lost in the Sandy Hook shootings. The singers are performing “You Are Not Alone” by Michael Jackson. So touching. May the victims of that tragedy rest in peace and their families know that we have all been touched by their loss.
First up is Carly Rose singing a song that she has already performed. She’s singing “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone. Love this song, she’s going to rock it. She totally nailed the song completely! Loved it the first time around and it was even better tonight.
Tate Stevens is up next with his first performance of the night. He’ll be singing “Anything Goes” by Randy Hauser. It’s even better this time around…Tate is in it to win it!
Singing next is Simon Cowell’s girl group Fifth Harmony with their repeat performance of “Anything Can Happen” by Ellie Goulding. Same performance as the first time around. Bleh. The judges ate it up!
For the second round, Carly Rose is singing “How Do I Live” by LeAnn Rimes. She was also joined on the stage by LeAnn for a duet! Britney Spears called it “shockingly amazing”. Do you agree?
Tate is up next, performing his duet of “Pontoon” by Little Big Town, who joins him on the stage. Not a bad performance! Cute! He really loves singing and you can just tell he’s having fun.
Fifth Harmony and Demi Lovato are performing “Give Your Heart A Break.” We could’ve sworn they’ve performed this song once on the show already. Go Demi!
The final battle is on as the acts take on a third and final performance tonight! Carly Rose Sonenclar took on Leonard Cohen’s song “Hallelujah” and she nailed it.
Tate Stevens is performing his rendition of Chris Young’s song “Tomorrow”. Not bad! The judges loved it and think that he’ll be selling a ton of records by this time next year.
For the final performance of the evening, Fifth Harmony is performing their rendition of “Let It Be” by The Beatles. The judges said that they did the song justice and Simon said that he believes they deserve to win the competition.
Now that all of the performances are done, who are you rooting for to win the second season of “The X Factor USA”??
